I made 100 profit Friday night there, cashed out. Last night, lost the 100 profit and was almost another 500 down, lost my discipline. Got stuffed by IR, Hitman, Silent Run DoA. Along with the games stalling and error codes after midnight I was not a happy bunny.

Anyway down to last 30-ish, played TSII at £2.10 per spin, fully expecting a bust and a self - ass kicking. Within a few minutes hit bonus, took 5x and got Thor-wild-wild-wild-Thor on the third spin, plus 5 9's no wild, and 5 9's with a wild.....so suddenly was at over 700 quid and breaking even.

Then I played Wild Rockets and hit this bonus round within 20 spins , £1.00 a spin:

The final score on the bonus round was:

Carried on and then about 10 spins later after raising to £2.50 a spin, got the freespins again, and another stonker, including this one:

To celebrate before I withdrew, I went full stake £3.60 on MegaSpin BDBA. Was about 130 down after 15 minutes, and this little bastard drops in!
(The blanks are obviously Sapphires.)

Best recovery I ever made, a swing inside 30 minutes of over £2000 - I was 600 down at worst point, and 1650 UP at best. I followed my rule of cashing out at 75%+ of my peak amount, so cashed out 1900. This left me a balance of nearly 300 which lasted me all night until 10am this morning. So, thanks to Ben and his Guts, I have a happy 1343 profit this weekend after expenses. A lost head, and a lucky escape - I guess that's why we do it.:D

Yes, thanks to everybody who has taken a look. I'd normally post this stuff in the winner screenies thread, but I was so shocked afterwards I felt it deserved a special 'great escape' story.

Nate says he's left Wild Rockets alone (I can't abbreviate it as 'WR' as everybody will think 'wagering requirement' lol......) and admittedly I felt it was a flattish low-medium variance slot originally, after watching Chopley's video channel before I ever played it. The thing is, I mentioned that after a battle I made 100 profit Friday night, and it was also WR that saved my a$$ then too.

Chopley is correct; I should've quit in a hurry after the 2 WR hits, but the sudden excitement and relief after the big loss (for me that is) was reversed at that point into a big profit of 700-ish put me in a comfort-zone where I knew I could have a little bash at a high RTP slot with potential big returns. Again I got very lucky very quickly.

Like many on here I play just at weekends and then not every weekend, and when I do I have a budget of 50 - 200 max. and am generally a low-roller. As a result now I've had a sleep and calmed down a bit, I have two battling feelings: exhilaration I've made over 1340 on a mundane Sunday night, and shame that I got sucked in and lost my head and spent my winnings from Friday and more, because I was bored and rarely for me, lost my discipline as a result. I am very aware how near I came to a beating and I will not forget that.

As for the w/d's, they are all listed on my account transactions as 'success'. I sent Guts my docs voluntarily (I was not asked for them) even though Fridays w/d was already approved. As I'm w/d ing back to my credit card I can't say yet how fast I will receive the cash but it seems they are 'processed' already. I'll update on that one next week. I did this because the fees are less than Neteller and to w/d cash from the ATM the fee is slightly less. Unfortunately I tried to w/d to my current account by filling in the details and sending Guts a scan of my bank statement but they put the w/d back in my account and told me I had to do it back to the card, which means I will have a bloody great positive balance of 1400-ish on it now.....still a nice 'problem' to have though!

Once again thanks for looking at the thread.

Ultimately dunover I think it's a case of whether or not it's a rare event or a pattern or behaviour, and I get the impression it's a rare event, in which case I wouldn't be too concerned :)

I have the occasional little 'mad run' myself, for example when I lost over £1000 at Jackpot Party back in March, where £100 after £100 disappeared day after day (culminating in a £200 shitathon on Sunday evening) - an awful run and a nasty loss, but it's literally years since I last got stuck into a losing (and depositing!) rut like that.

I think sometimes it takes a bit of a 'mad session' to remind ourselves of the nature of the beast we're toying with, and that we're never that far away from something of a chaotic situation. As long as we have the presence of mind to not tip over the edge and keep it on the right side of entertainment, and not tip over into chaos, I don't see it as any kind of major problem.

Your session last night (and all night :D) is definitely into the realms of the kind of thing not to make a habit of, but at the same time of course it's exactly what can make gambling so thrilling sometimes. Back when I was still doing my YouTube channel I pulled a couple of late finishes at Redbet (including a 3am IIRC), not something I'd want to be doing every week, but no harm done as a bit of a one-off :)

From now on, your biggest challenge is to not try to replicate it. It's going to be tough. Good luck.

Yes, I know where you're coming from. I only ever play above minimum or 2x minimum when I've made a profit from a smallish deposit - I always start off small. This all started because I 'tilted' my last 30-ish on TSII just to bust out and stop because I was fed up; that's why I played 2.10 spins which resulted in the trigger win of 700 for this revival. Next time I play, it'll be back to 50-100 deposit, grinding away. I once had a 2250 win on BDBA for 81p spin, and w/d it and never felt the urge or greed for even more. That's what I said - I'm usually very disciplined. Chopley has done it, if you ever saw his videos i.e. got near to bust out, got bored and stuck his last 20 or 30 on one spin of roulette to either recover or more likely bust out. Sort of like closing the book.

Despite this win I'm still actually down about 400 for the year so far, which isn't bad considering the hours I've spent playing each weekend. I'm very much aware we'll all lose overall as time progresses. To be honest the last thing I want to do now is play slots. I played for 15 hours solid until 10.30 am. today!

An excellent insight and spot-on.
You and me have the same sort of history it seems, AWP arcade/pub hell etc. Your wrecked car. Me putting the reel assembly of a machine into the inside of it, putting one through a plasterboard wall in an arcade, kicking the wooden bottom in half on one. Silly losses, anger and frustration. I haven't played an AWP in over 5 years, and then it was profitable with knowledge, same as you did at the end.

But last night I got that angry feeling that you and I remember only too well from years back. I came near to just smashing my expensive laptop on the kitchen floor, very close. It brought all those negative emotions back from years ago, and to tell you the truth it's frightened me. I can look forward this week assuming Guts is all OK to withdrawing 1300 in cash out over a few days from the ATM, yet this is being overshadowed somewhat by that old ghost from the past.

I'm going to have a couple of weeks off now to get my head back on, and return then in my normal play mode.

It Wasn't you who smashed the 3 player Reno Casino in Cambridge service station through the wall was it? lol. I was sitting in there minding my own business one Sunday evening, playing some tripe no doubt. When, BAAAAAAANNNNNGGGGG, the whole machine was sticking out the wall, the person playing it ran off very quickly lol. Awful machine hehe

No, not guilty on that one!:eek2:

Just to let you all know, my w/d hit my card early hours Wednesday (today) which is as quick as it could be after a bank holiday weekend. In fact it was so quick, my deposits from Fri/Sun and my Friday/Monday w/d's all came through at the same time. Thanks Guts!

Very nice to hear mate! Hope you will get to enjoy your winnings and don't play it back too soon!

No way! I've taken 500 cash (daily limit) out this morning, and will do the same tomorrow Thursday. Friday it's my turn for the fortnightly shop, and fill the car up which will be covered. That will leave me 50-ish for next time I fancy a go. Then the card will be back at zero balance. I haven't played since, as I said I wouldn't, so the 50 may get used this weekend or next. I still haven't recovered enough for more 'action' lol.....
