Wait'n for a payout!
All right, before people say "I told you so", about this Costa Rican Sportsbook, let me just say that I have had a lot of very fast, no hassle payouts from those guys, and 99% of those payouts were from their casino not sports betting. CS is a very shaky there but nothing u can't live with. Before I get to the point I wanna say that it really came down to their $1 min and $1000 max bet on the Euro Roulette wheel, and their reliable, speedy payouts- WU or courier check.

A couple of weeks ago I deposited $400 and the next morning requested a $1360 payout (courier check) after some casino action. Note: Within the last month 5Dimes posted this info on the Payout request page, also this info is sent via email when requesting a payout via check

We have sent you this as you stated you were interested in requesting a cashier check payout. Please be sure to read very carefully the following conditions:

1) FedEx packages take 5-7 days to arrive after the date the redemption is processed.

2) Early inquires opened with the processor incur in a $10 fee.

3) Returned packages due to delivery impossibilities caused by incorrect or incomplete address information or inability to locate the recipient will incur in a $50 fee.

4) Stop payments cannot be performed by the merchant. If forced to request a stop payment, the account will be charged a $250 fee. Either case will permanently ban your account from processing check payouts.

In order for us to process a cashier check you must be aware and agree to all of the above. If there is anything you feel discomfort with or you have any questions please be sure to ask us before submitting the request. To submit the cashier check request we need you to confirm your account number, password the amount you want processed and they physical address for shipping.

Well 7 days go by and nothing, no Fed Ex delivery. I finally contact CS this past Wednesday because it has never taken longer than 3 days. They tell me they now have the tracking # and say the check was delivered! What? They give me the tracking # and it does say it was delivered, with no signature required of course. So they tell me with no apologies that I have two choices. 1) look around better for my package (for real!), 2) Request a stop payment and have the funds returned to my account minus $250 for THEIR trouble- IF they find out the check has not been cashed! I know it's not been cashed by me, that's for sure! This they say, could take 7-10 business days. BTW I am forever banned from a payout by check,it has to be WU.

This whole situation makes me very suspicious. Never before have I had a problem with 5Dimes, and in retrospect it seems like they were just waiting for this to happen with me. I know that's a little paranoid but whatta buncha rudeness! To tell you the truth I just want my $$$ back in my account so I can get a WU transfer. I just hope they don't try and say my check was cashed, I beat their casino fairly again and I want my payout. That's all. Thx for letting me vent

Ive never heard of them before but after reading this post, I feel as if they are shady. I just get the feeling that they are trying to screw you over.

Strange this should happen to you also. I found a package under my carport that was delivered and I was never notified until I checked the status. It was set behind the garbage can for goodness sake. so if you are in a home...check the "hidden" places. It just might be there!

So today 5Dimes returned my funds to my account minus the fees they charged me for losing my check ($250), so $1110 was returned. So I just requested a payout via WU, but not before I made the $250 (cancelled check fee) back on the Roulette table. I tell you, it was very hard not to try to play that up to $5000 before cashing out but whatever, I decided not to test my greediness!

Thx for listening

Load of BS. It was fedex that "lost" the check, not you. It could even have been stolen by a crooked delivery agent (a known issue here in the UK with some delivery services). I expect all they are doing is passing on the charges from their processor, irrespective of who is at fault.

They know damn well you are not going to report the loss of a gambling cashout to the police, nor report them (or Fedex) for loss of what is in effect an illegal package.

It's really funny you say that, VWM, because I have never had a problem with any kind of casino check delivery before this. The check was tracked as delivered but I really don't think a Fed Ex guy ever delivered it, I never miss them. My paranoid thought was that it was intentionally not delivered but marked as delivered- how? I don't know, but what are you gonna do?

I think this is daylight robbery from 5Dimes.

You should PAB to get the $250 back. The cheque should be cancelled and reissued...there's NO WAY that costs anywhere near $250. If you were going to scam them, then they'll find out when stopping the cheque that you already cashed it, and since you didn't, where's the scam? What advantage is there for you in saying you didn't receive it? You felt like donating $250??? It's madness.

PAB. I would.

Yea, thanks. I would of considered such a route if they had said my check was cashed and there was nothing they could do to get my funds back. but my funds were returned, I made the $250 back (not that that justifies anything), and it looks as if I will get my $$ transferred via WU tomorrow.

Also, when it comes to the 'stop payment' on the check, they now have terms (this is somewhat new, about a month or so) you have to agree with, stating that you consent to this $250 fee if a stop payment has to be made. This is bogus I know, but what else are you gonna do but agree to consent when you want a check? It makes me very suspicious about the whole thing tho.

If you have a crooked Fedex agent, they can steal a package and record it as "delivered", and provide enough bogus proof to ensure Fedex are 100% convinced.

This scam has been exposed in the UK where a customer claimed a package had not arrived, yet the delivery company said their records showed it to have been delivered and signed for. It turned out to be a fraud. A telling piece of evidence was that the signature on delievery was shown to be a forgery, and a picture taken of the location of the alleged delivery was NOT that of the recipients address.

As well as the frauds, there is simple laziness, where a delivery agent just shoves the package into a safe place, or a not so safe place (such as a wheelie bin just before collection day), rather than attempt a redelivery.

I had one lost package, presumably a gift from a casino, that City Link had, but when I contacted them about the card left through the door they flatly refused to redeliver the package, nor would they tell me who sent it so that I could contact the sender. I also had one casino ask whether I had received a gift, and I hadn't, neither had I seen a failed delivery card, so it must have either been lost or stolen.

I have had several packages left inside the wheelie bin, and if I don't notice before putting it out, it just ends up in landfill. I have even had them tossed over the back fence, left in the garden in the rain, with the agent seeing no need to leave a card to say this had been done.

That's really crazy stuff, however, it doesn't surprise me in the least bit.

Glad you didn't end up out of pocket here, but I'd say the biggest slice of 'blame pie' lies with Fedex rather than 5Dimes.

Surely Fedex are liable for costs when a package goes astray. Can 5Dimes not make a claim against this? Have you asked FedEx for the proof of delivery?

As for stories of dodgy FedEx deliveries.... you dont have to look far on the web to find them . Would you want your new PC delivered by this guy??!!

Yea I know, I've seen that video before. I kinda look at it like this, when an American is gambling online, he's taking a 'gamble' to gamble. So as for a claim and stuff, Na, I was just happy to get my funds back without them saying, "your check was cashed at and on so and so". Now the funds are in my hands as I just picked up my $1300 from WU . So it's been an inconvenience to say the least, but I got my $$$ and that was my intention when I made my deposit in the first place.

In more than 3 years never had a problem with 5Dimes as player and as affiliate. Customer and Affiliate support always answered me very fast and once I had a little prob it has been solved immediately.

5dimes has problems with check (most of the times), if you are non us player I advise to use moneybookers but if you are us the your best shot is p2p like w.u

Pretty long thread but worth a read the op asked sbr to get involved but they ruled for 5dimes and wont talk about it anymore

The way this Tony guy acts in chat makes me think how they get business

They've recently adopted the RTG platform, as part of their Grand Casino. This could make it a favored casino for me, if they do P2P withdrawals.
