This is the story......made my 2nd deposit at unnamed casino. I was up about 8X on my deposit at one time betting 1-2.00 a spin. I switch games...going no where fast on the new one, I click on paytable..... decide to go back to the same game for maybe 5 more spins......I hit max bet  .....OMG 40.00, when I had been betting a 1.00 max on this game. I almost had a panic attack:what::what:....when I saw I hit the max button by mistake and it was $40.00 fricking dollars for one bet.......and of course the spin was a no win.
In my years of playing online...I've never done such a stupid thing before.....can't believe I did it after all this time.:mad:
I almost never contact chat at any casino so I'm not a PITA customer but I did this time.....well I sure didn't get much sympathy and they pretty much said tough sh*t. I'm uninstalling that software......never to play there again.

Yeah........I know....I wouldn't have been complaining if that spin had won.

:eek::eek:

BB, am I understanding your post right ? That you are uninstalling the software because the customer service at casino X did not have any sympathy for your mistake ?

Awww BB

That happened to me on a smaller scale just 2 days ago and I feel your pain. Yours is worse than mine but it still pisses me off. I didnt have any indesposible income to gamble this weekend so I asked 3dice for a $10 chip. (I also asked another casino as well lol..i needed my fix.) I dont ask for alot just incase I need it again. Anyway, I get the $10 and go to supersuits, guess what I did? Hit Max instead of spin $4.50.......almost 1/2 my chip!!! You know what I was stupidly doing while it spinned? I was yelling "stop, stop" while pounding the keys LMAO....like that would matter

The only time Im happy when I do that is when I win hahahah, that happened at the Trop. I hit the wrong button, I was yelling, "oh no oh no" and saw the win come up and calmed down looking around saying "never mind, good mistake"

Those new machines have that dumb "pick your denomination button" I hate that. Sometimes I think it's 25 cents and its $25!!! I hate that one too. They know what thier doing!!

Thanks Babs....for the sympathy. I needed it. :o
I've never bet 40.00 a pop anywhere....at anytime, it was really sickening to see it gone that quick. I don' recall any other software that I've played jumping to that amount on a max bet with one click of one button.

Robwin......the answer to your question, is yes and no. I wasn't crazy about this place anyway, but because of the ease of depositing I gave them a second chance.
All they had to do was look at my betting pattern tonight and they would have saw very clearly what I had been wagering......yeah it would have been nice if they had thrown me a bone, but I didn't come out and ask for it and they sure didn't offer it. It was just the coldness and the non sympathy that sealed the deal.

If anyone plays or remembers the playtech live dealer games, I have an even worse story....

ok, so I'm down to about $15, playing their live BJ...I click on the $5 chip, and guess where the next misclick led to? THE DEALER TIP BOX.

Note to self: why in the world did they even have those "tip boxes" there in the first place? Just for that reason? Misclicks?

Thanks for everyone's stories about their own screwups.....makes me feel a little better to know I'm not alone.
Oh......and after I thought about it, Babs jogged a memory, I recalled a couple of other mis -clicks. One on 3 Dice......and probably more than one on an MG.....but never for 40.00 at one click. Geez.....for low rollers that is a lot of moolah to lose at one click.

Maybe we should rename the thread.....post your biggest screwup story here. :D

You have my sympathy. I also hate when the Gamble button is beside the Max Bet or spin button. And I hate when I get distracted...

This happened quite some time ago. Deposited $25. Went to one of those 5 line reel MG slots. I think it was Fortuna. One of my favorites. I usually played .25 a line. Phone rings, blah blah blah, hit the Spin button.

Yep... you guessed it. $25 spin. Hit nothing... zilch... nada...

Oh..........that hurts! all the way from here. All of your deposit. What a bummer!

the only time i can remember doing a misclick was at 3dice on medieval moolah betting 60 cents. the "bet max" button is right next to the spin button and i accidently clicked it and hit the bonus! got only 12x the $6 bet, but it was better than just losing the $6. :D

oh... and i just remembered another one that was not so good. it was probably more than 4 years ago at an indian casino called soboba near palm springs. the game was by igt, forgot the name, but the theme was like the outback with kangaroos and koalas and boomerangs where the bonus was triggered by bullseyes i think. anyway, i deposited $160 into the machine and thought i was betting .75, ended up it was $75 (no wins.) when i checked the variable denominations, it was .01, .05, .10, .25, and $1 !!! apparently whoever played it before had it at $1 !?! i've never made that mistake again. (still can't believe they had that as an option! if you've ever been to soboba, you would know what i mean)

I've done the 25 accidental spin at Intercasino thing and complained about it - it seems excessively cheap for such a well established casino. How many people do you know will pop onto the slots to gamble at 25 a spin? I'm rather anal about checking these days..and funnily enough, the offending slot is now my biggest fan and has repaid that 25 many, many times over =)

The problem with Intercasino is that the software continually resets to a pretty chunky bet from the one you were playing if for any reason you exit the game, even briefly. Microgaming at least remembers both the denomination, and coins per line of your last session, at least until all the Playcheck data falls into the archive after around a month.
The biggest problem with MG is that it is no longer possible to disable to option to gamble a win on the new slots, and the max bet button is a problem if you are playing a low number of coins of a high denomination, and your mouse plays up.
It would be helpful if players could specify their max default bet, such that any attempt to exceed this on any game triggers an "are you sure" message. This could also be extended to the gamble feature, allowing players the option to globally disable it. All of this is nothing more than helping with responsible gambling, so there should be no reason for casinos to object to this in principle.

You know what really gets me?

It would only take a few hours (if that) to add code to the software that would alert the user of the amount they're getting ready to bet once they click "max bet". This popup would be enabled for the first time, and the user given a choice to either keep the alert on, or disable future notifications.

I mean, c'mon...I think we all know of that alert that pops up when you log in, that lets you know your balance is $0.00, and asks you if you want to visit the cashier. Not much different now, is it?

I think if MG would spend more time making their software more user-friendly, then they'd have a much happier following then they do now. How often do we hear of people complaining about the enormous downloads (3+ gigs, even if they already have a MG casino installed), the never-ending addition of new games. Most of which have almost identical payouts & gameplay as the other slots that's been around for quite some time....the only difference is the graphics. Not to mention the long standing issue of high CPU usage once the casino's been running for a few hours - especially during the graphics intensive slots such as Hitman.

The bottom line is they should be more in tune with what the customer wants instead of releasing 4+ "new" slots every month.

edit: One of my biggest pet peeves is the fact that it would take much less time for them to "idiot proof" their Blackjack games. You know, for those mis-clicks we sometimes have and hit a hard 17-20. Sometimes, it's not even a misclick! How many of us own an optical mouse? Ever notice that sometimes it has a mind of its own!??!?! You know, one second the pointer is in one spot, the next it's somewhere else, even if you haven't moved the mouse?? This really rings true for those of us that use a wireless mouse/keyboard setup!

Here's a nice misclick made by me a couple of days ago :) Can't go higher than 30 in BJ ;)

Any )*#&$@#(*$&@#$ software that isn't idiot proof and ALLOWS A PLAYER TO HIT A HARD 20 IS ROGUE in my opinion. It would take a few lines of code to "idiot proof" the game, but who cares?

It'd be interesting to hear their response if you were to email them asking for your bet back - only your bet, not a win if it was to come.

I'd do it, even if my bet was for 1c. It's the principal that matters. If they were to say 'tough luck', I'd withdraw any remaining money and delete their casino so fast it'd make your head spin.

Well, now that you've mentioned it I might actually contact them just for the principle, although I would give it 10/1 odds that they won't return a penny :P

Also Winbig, your post made me realise that this is just a tip of the iceberg, their software for example doesn't show any soft totals - you have to figure it out yourself. Not a biggy one might think, but it's something quite easy to miss to be honest, when you're in a "BJ threadmill" :P playing one hand after another. I don't even know how many times I've decided to 'stand' on soft total, instead of hitting with their software.

Well, the sad part of it is that only one software vendor that I know of actually ASKS you if you really want to hit anything above a 17 (even soft) if you mis-click. It's saved my ass a couple of times; and that's 3Dice.
