fruit machines

If you do not know how to play these machines, all to the good. Leave well alone.

I believe they are their pension fund.

If they were in the pubs in the UK, they would be on the road. Thrown through the window.

I have put over $500 in "The Gee Gee's" and "Treasure Ireland" and had a very poor return.

I have played fruit machines all over Wales and England and never had a problem with winning on them, but these are in a world of their own.

Got the message "LEAVE WELL ALONE"

This is the way you play them:

1. Put your money in.
2. It disappears.
:D

ok seriously though, I don't have a clue - but once I got lucky in Roxy Palace playing Game On. I was betting only 25 cents and I kept getting the feature. Got it appx 8 times within about 30 spins - came out with over a $400 profit betting a quarter. Maybe I would have done better if I'd known what the hell I was doing...? But that game is probably the easiest one to figure out.

Actually it would be cool if someone put together a tutorial for some of the more complicated fruit machine. The GeeGees, for instance - the feature in that game is whacko - you don't know what to do and never know if you're getting something good or not. I always just hit the spin button til I lose.

I've done well on geegees. Never played a real fruity. Vinylweatherman is the 'local' expert on these. But his

Can someone explain to me how the fruit machines work. Any clues as to their workings will be gratefully accepted.
If you mean online ones - like those at Microgaming, then the above posts are pretty good.
Unlike their regular slots on which the spin of the reels are totally random, any described as 'fruit machines' or AWP (Amusements With Prizes) work in a totally different way. It's more like a lottery; when you hit 'spin' the software decides if you will win & how much, and then spins the reels accordingly.

At the end of the day, they still payout around 95% are still random in a way - but a different way to regular slots.

I don' think I've played that one, but I have played Cash'n'Curry and Stallionaire quite a bit. These two slots are actually clones - exactly the same except with different symbols. And your strategy is spot on - just keep hitting spin & don't collect any features except the last two on the board. These are the only ones which ever pay anything decent - all the rest are horse manure! :(

BEST ONES TO PLAY IN MY OPINION

it is my opinion that YOU LUCKY BARSTARD, Game On, Chavin It Large are the only ones worth playing because you are sure to win big if you hit the bonus round(they have a similiar bonus feature).

I have found they are REAL streaky. But if you hit the feature finally, say on a $1.00 bet. Keep playing a few times at 1.00 and then up it to 2.00.

I have noticed that it goes in two and I usually hit it again within a shorter time.

Game On seems to hit more frequently and also you don't have to accumulate 3 wins before getting the bonus round.

I would like to know what the "hidden features" are on these games. Anyone know all of them or any secrets that the rules don't state.

Not yet;)

It seems they are not the same as on "proper" fruit machines though, as I have tested a few of the usual suspects. I may already have found them without knowing, as what might be "hidden" to an American player would be "bleedin' obvious" to a UK ex Fruitie player (not that I'm all that much of an "ex" - ask the staff at Clapham Junction platform 16:p).

I love the fruit games...I bet low though like $.50 bets. In my personal exp. they are either paying a lot or not at all ...nothing in between. I go in and if I dont get a bonus round or a decent win in 10 spins, I leave. Gee Gees has been quite the bastard but I LOVE the others.

Certainly do:D

Pity it all went downhill after 1996:mad:

Those ACE machines in the early 90's were great (especially Payrise;) )
It was one "emptier" after another, and then they went bust (I wonder why:rolleyes:).

Barcrest and Bell "skill climbs" were good, and the set piece streaks on many games helped (very predictable on Barcrest, losing on numbers like 11 & 2 usually signalled the streak would be along shortly)

Ok guys you can keep your tips and streaks.

NDE was the classic a real skill game. Cant beat it dont try just agree. :notworthy

there are fruity emulators and a forum for fruity players (no, no, not that)

I was a very heavy poster over there until I discovered online casinos and casinomeister. :D

With gambling banned in the USA...it's strange that we have UK fruit machines designed for kids to keep them busy while their parents spend proper money....... talk about encouraging gambling at an early age.....

The amount of times some screaming kid comes back to their parents because "some machine just took my money"..... while the parents slowly take a draw of their cigarette and say "uh huh, that's nice"...... then the kid continues to throw a tantrum. When you are losing money the last thing you wanna hear is a screaming child lol

Anyway... I don't like the online fruit machines... but I used to love the UK style ones. My fav was Monopoly 60, I used to make 40 a week or so EVERY week. There seemed to be a bug were collecting the first (and supposeably worst) feature would pay the jackpot frequently! :)

why cant they make online slots like them!!!!!!!!!!

why cant they make online slots like them!!!!!!!!!!

So what you want is a machine/game with a bug in it so you can win every time? Just how likely do you think that is?????

The ones on microgaming casino's seem to emulate the classic UK style ones, you get far far more feature entries but of course you don't win as much every feature. What I've noticed is if you don't take anything then you get better and better offers the more you play. Seems like you can even force them to the bigger wins if thats how you like playing. For me, US style slots are just spin and hope, while these have a bit more thought behind them, but you can still win, you just need to be a bit lucky.

Ahh, the old fruities.

My favourites:
The Italian Job - turn down red boards to activate the streak.
Up N Over - school boy programming, higher on 1,2,3,7,8 lower on 5,6,10,11,12.

Made a lot from these two machines alone :D

You're not female are you Jody ? I mean females can't play fruit machines, that's like scientific fact.

No, I'm male... although my girlfriend may not agree with you on the above statement - she loves playing whenever we go to the pub. Doesn't do too bad either, she we will walk away very early if need be.

This is what leads to the "bugs" in the land variety, they are rigged to streak and cycle. Sure there's not a bug or manipulator online;)

There is one HUGE reason for not wanting bugs in online games. With the UK Fruit machines, there was a limit to the amount that could be taken during an "empty", since there was only a couple of hundered worth of money in the tubes or hopper(s). If this happened online*, there would be no theoretical limit to what could be "won" during an "empty", it would have to be blatant enough for the casino to notice a problem at audit, and this would only happen, as it does here in the pubs and services, if players got too greedy and "emptied" the games completely, or too often.

* That is not to say it hasn't happened online, just ask the MiniVegas rep:p

Aye but like does she really know what she is doing ? Can't see it.
Also any females that actually do know anything only know it because their partner told them. Females just don't seem to be interested in fruit machines the way young men seem to be. Of course grannies and machines in bingo halls is a different story.
