Strategy, Hints and Tips for Playing Bingo
Here are a few hints and tips to help you when you're playing bingo.
Anyone can be a bingo player and everyone can be good at it. Bingo is a universal game that can be played by people of all ages. Even though it is a gambling game, it is considered to be in the category of "soft gaming".
Hints and Tips for Playing Bingo Online
There is no real strategy for playing bingo online, as it's simply a matter of luck. However, before you start playing for money it's always a good idea to familiarize yourself with how a particular online bingo game works, and what the payout structure is by playing a few free games of bingo first.
Most reputable online casinos and bingo sites will allow you to play either for free or for money.
Money management is also an important part of playing online bingo. Set yourself a limit and stick to it - and never bet more than you can afford to lose. Although bingo is a low-stake game, keep an eye on how much money you are spending, and don't be tempted to play "just one more game" once you have reached your limit.
It's important to remember that the main reason for playing online bingo should be for fun, not for profit - that way you won't be disappointed if you don't win every time.
Hints and Tips for Playing Live Bingo in a Bingo Hall
Playing live bingo in bingo halls is more complicated than playing online bingo, and although it is still mostly down to luck there are a few things you need to remember if you want to maximize your chances of winning.
In live bingo it is important to act quickly. If you are too slow, you might miss out on a called number and therefore a win. Given that an average bingo game in the UK takes between four and four and a half minute to complete, and that the average speed of British bingo caller is 23 numbers per minute, you need to be able to find the numbers as quickly as possible before the next number is being called.
It is therefore a good idea to spend time getting familiar with the cards and the way in which they are numbered, i.e. the first column contains the numbers from 1 to 10, and the second column contains the numbers from 11 to 20 and so on. By doing this, you will be able to locate the numbers being announced by the caller much faster and therefore make sure you have marked off all the right numbers.
It's also important to understand the terminology used in live bingo games. If you know them you don't have to spend time finding out what on earth is going on while playing bingo and you can therefore concentrate on the game and your numbers instead.
Never play more cards than you can watch or you'll end up going crazy when trying to keep up with all the announced numbers.
Sometimes it's a good idea to bring sticky tape - yes, you read it right - because some games are played on single strips bought separately it's therefore easier to keep track of them if they are taped together instead of flying around in the table while you mark off called numbers.
Make sure you highlight a mistake on your card when you know you've made it. It's a disappointing feeling finding out you shouted "Bingo!", only to find out you forgot about the mistake you made earlier.
