Top 3 reasons not to play at Grand Bay Casino... ever!

As you may well know grandbaycasino is part of the Grand Prive suite of Micrograming powered luxury online casinos. I always thought that it was hard to win at this casino and I never liked the way they would promise you truck loads of money( or at least when you gave their wheel of fortune a spin up to $25,000... ehem ... right.) but is there anybody (I don't know not even one person) who got more than $5 from spinning their lovely wheel that happens every season or so! I have 3 reasons why YOU the savvy gamblers should avoid this casino like the plague. Its centers on the fact that nobody likes to lose money, but losing money fast is even worse. Nobody likes a non-existent supported casino, what if I have problems for real then who or how do I know I can trust them. And I can't get no satisfaction out of Casino Grand Bay so I am out on a rampage right now. Hopefully it will save you a couple of gamble dollars, and your money will be better used elsewhere. Seriously. Yeah and I know gambling has its risks, but nothing compares with the risks you will be taking at Casino Grand Bay.
Story Time: imagine it is 3 in the afternoon and you are watching ABC channel 7 in the late 70's.

Done to the tune of the Family fued. Richard Dawson says ,"Top 3 answers on the board. Name a time when you can contact Casino Grand Bay's support staff via online chat and be helped in a timely fashion? (The contestants buzz in, MaryLou of the Buckeye family's buzzer went off first.) After repeating the question to Marylou again She replies "Richard I am going to say... never." The Buckeye family chimes in with their support clapping, cheering, and saying "good answer. good answer Marylou." They all look at the board and pointing toward the survey board Richard excitedly says with a deliberated voice of inquisitiveness, "show us Never" ...ding... #1 answer. Never. #1 Answer! He continues , "Marylou, Do you and the Buckeyes want to play or pass? as he looks longingly towards Marylou's sisters lips and licking his own in anticipation." Marylou turns to her own excite family all bright eyed and smiling from getting the choice relays to Marylou 'Pass,...Pass' from which Marylou relays to Richard , "I think we are going to pass." Marylou seems certain of her decision,"We are going to pass Richard". And that is the point of that whole story, we should all 'pass' on playing at Casino Grand Bay.

And I'll tell you why:

I suggest any other casino right now over Grandbay until they can treat the people who are their bread and butter with a little more customer care. I never feel like I got my money's worth. I always feel that way at Jackpot Factory and even to some extent the fortune lounge group. Shoot I have been treated better by The Virtual casino and Cirrus casinos than I have at Grandbay. And it really vexes me because I love the microgaming software. And since Grandbay is on my Desktop I Fall prey to them all the time. But Its time for me to tell everybody else how lousy their support is, and how little value you get for your money with Casino Grand Bay.

I was taught that the customer is always right. Now as far as player satisfaction goes, I am totally fed up with this type of crap from Grandbay. They also changed their loyalty point scheme, so after playing through about $64000 you will be able to get that $10 or 1000 point conversion so that you can lose it in 3 spins. This information isn't on their home page yet but if you log in which I don't recommend anymore, there is the new loyalty payout plan showing you how many points each game will give us. We all know that roulette and certain other games don't count towards loyalty points. But if you have any questions they aren't ever there anyway. So that is what I am saying through this whole saga of my post that we seek out casinos that have real people serving their customers and allowing them to enjoy their purchases. This is not a casino that does those things. They will tell you what you can't do. And they will tell you that you can't be satisfied and that you know this before you deposit. So that is an extension of the story of my saga that we not play here. They make it easy.
Now I have played all the casinos and it is my opinion that it is harder to win at Casino Grand Bay than the others. Why would anybody play at a casino that they know is filled with the certainty of losing seems more for sure than any othe microgaming casino. I am pricewaterhouse coopers, I can tell which ones do better, there are patterns to be observed. Well I know I was a fool again because I was less than 100 points away from that coveted 1000 point to $10 conversion. So stupid me of course, I didn't even care about the %50 percent deposit bonus. Even after receiving the %50 deposit bonus I couldn;t get enough points to play in the WNBA. I was after the 1000 points. Lets just say after depositing around $200 into their casino (grandbay) I am still short 33 points. Now mind you, I was playing games like hitman and avalon and loaded and thunderstruck you know and betting like .09 cnts to .30 cents, but alas I didn't get enough points to get that conversion. If this were all jackpots all slots, viplounge, wild jack, riverbelle, lucky nugget, desert dollar, grand hotel, and a slew of other casinos I always play at, I would have clinched the 100 points usually within a $20 deposit. So I emailed, after calling a couple of times but they just won't budge. The Jackpot factory Casinos compared to grandbay or grandprive made me feel so entertained and they actually made me feel as if my deposits were something of real value. They usually would credit my account with some mere 30 points so that I could get the conversion. Even a couple of times All Slots casino gave me 300 points so that I could convert. Maybe I am spoiled with that group but what I am trying to say here is... What casino should the savvy gambler play at? One where support is available 24/7 not just posted that they are. I mean I had to say to myself more times than 10 of grandbay casino, " where the hell are you people at? Nobody is home. The lights are on but... Anyhoot. I am not speaking for any of their other fine casinos but as far as being a satisfied customer at Grandbay, i really am not. Who knows their payout percentages but I've played them all and only at Grandbay casino can you deposit $100 and bet only $.09 cents a hand and the bonus for thunderstruck will never come up. After all, I am the one who is depositing money into their casino. Now I also believe that when an online gambler starts depositing significant amounts of money that maybe I would be given a little slack. All I wanted was 33 points to make the 1000 so that I could redeem for $10 and lose in 3 spins. In my opinion this casino is not worth playing at because, they really don't care about their customers the way that other microgaming casinos do. You know there are a lot of cool and cool microgaming casinos that make me feel like I got something of value, whether or not it was winnings is irrelevant. I mean as long as it was fun, I can seewith a certain amount of deposits .

Ok so if you missed the Top 3 reasons why never to deposit or I mean play at Casino Grand Bay here they are in summary.

Top 3 reasons why not to play at Casino Grand Bay -
1. Support is never on duty to take your queries.
2. The loyalty scheme is incredibly hard and takes too much money to see the benefits of accumulating points. So find a better place is my reccomendation.
3. The payout percentages are lousy and you never get a sense that you have been entertained or that your hard earned gambling money went toward some service for you.

Thats it. It is no big deal. We can find better casinos all over the internet. I am just trying to keep savvy gamblers informed so that they will get more value out of their money, and one sure way to do that is to not play at Casino Grand Bay.

Thanks

Well Brettkun my friend, it took two glasses of wine and a Corona to get all the way thru your post, but I made it. I agree that the service can suck at Grand Prive group.

And I bet you have had a glass or two of something also, oui, c'est vrai?

what were the other two answers on the board? i understand buckeyes passed, but even if the other team struck out and buckeyes missed the steal, they would still reveal the other answers while the audience reads it aloud like they knew it all along..... and actually if buckeyes were to pass and then miss stealing it back after the strikeout, the other family would get the points. are the dollar values tripled?

Are they part of the group that includes UKcasino club?? , because they had a wheel that came up occassionally that you would spin for bonus money..with strings attached! It was supposedly "random", but I noticed that it usually came up right after making a deposit upon exiting the banking screen. Not every deposit, but maybe every 5th deposit or so. One time it spun me $500.00 . I know why though! Because I was on the tail end of a 5k bender with them in a single afternoon.

I've played and Grand Bay and there customer service seemed ok to me. They called me after I signed up and made sure evething was going ok. I hit them pretty hard (about 9k) and withdrew and havent been back since. There loyalty system did seem a little tough.

What a post!

I just wanted to say that not everyone has bad luck at Grand Prive. I do just as well there as anywhere else. In fact, earlier this month, just a couple of weeks ago I took this screenshot from my game playing Aces and Faces Video Poker at Casino Grand Bay.

As far as support goes, I don't quite understand where you found it so difficult to reach them. Their toll free number for support from the U.S. is 1-800-253-5048. I can't remember the last time I've called that number and was unable to get though to support within a few minutes. And trust me, I've called a LOT, because Grand Prive is one of the two groups I play at the most. Support is ALWAYS on duty, and it's pretty easy to get through to them by telephone. I don't send much email through to support. I prefer a quick response, and like to talk to them by telephone instead so that I can get everything I need taken care of in one shot, quickly.

I understand that it's disappointing to ask a casino for an extra bonus, special bonus, to bump our loyalty points up so we can redeem them, whatever... and to be told no. But I think it's unfair to say a casino is hard to win at, and support is never there, just because you had a bad run of luck and support refused to add extra loyalty points when a player asked for extra.

We all have our favorite casinos to play at. The casinos that I seem to play longer at, others will say the opposite. And visa versa. It's funny how luck runs. I have had some pretty decent luck at Casino Grand Bay and like their support a lot. That's just from my own experience which is obviously different then yours Brettkun.

I hope next time you win huge at whatever other casino you play. Meanwhile, I'll continue to play at Grand Prive, Casino Rewards, Playshare, iNetBet and ClubUSA. Those are my personal favorites.

 Wash you mouth out with carbolic:eek:

Grand Prive STOLE their "Wheel" from Casino Action. Casino Action have had this wheel on offer for years! Sadly, it is nowhere like as good as it used to be, I get a spin roughly every 3 months despite being logged on and playing for 300 to 400 hours a month (collectively) in the tournaments.
I got the Privvy wheel ONCE, and yes, it was 5:mad:

It IS possible to contact support by phone, but they can be unhelpful, they cannot answer and tell you they will E-mail one within a short while, which they never do. At worst, they are positively rude, treating you like "something the cat dragged in" rather than a coveted customer they want to tease another few deposits from.

The loyalty scheme is worse than you think, those precious 10 credits are BONUS money, not cash.

They certainly DO misadvertise their generosity. I played heavily till I was 3600 down, mainly because the offers were attractive. They also advertised a monthly slots tournament, but despite this, it was NEVER RUN between December and March.
Finally, in the end they DID run a tournament, over 2 months, eCogra approved, and with a massive $50,000 top prize.

I spotted a fantastic "con" on their part. Brits had to wager and score in pounds, thus having to wager twice in real terms per point than dollar players, BUT, when it came to the prizes, we would STILL have got a mere $50,000, or 25,000 instead of 50,000 (fair, as we had wagered to score in pounds).
Ir was after I made a fuss of this that the problems first began, I was NEVER replied to about this point, and half way through the second round, where I was looking like a serious contended, they banned me from ALL their promotions, but pretended the problems were due to "my spam filter". When I discovered the same "spam filter" problems in the Grand Privvy companion, they ran out of room to manouver, and told me to phone the casino and THEY would tell me the codes. I smelt a rodent, and insisted they double and triple check my account for any reason as their end why I might not be receiving the mailers, and they then admitted I "was not on the target list anymore".
This was the worst duplicity, as had I simply phoned and been given the codes, my next win would most likely have been confiscated due to me not having been sent the codes.
This is by far the worst example of casino greed I have ever seen, and this despite the fact I was specially invited to play by post (the CD & bonus), I was once mailed to say "they have their eye on me... the upper deck awaits" - which made me believe I was about to be made VIP, not thrown in the bilge tanks.

As well as giving a fourth reason not to play, (they kick you with a total ban when you are well down - most reputable casinos ease off with promotions only if you get well ahead with them, and some still offer them even then, knowing the HE will get you in the end), my tale also explains the reasons behind my new avatar:D

Casino Grand Bay had been one of my favorites.

They always responded to my emails within about an hour.

Loyalty program? Who needs it when they give you several bonuses every week? I'd rather have $50 or $100 in my bonus account on a $100 deposit than $10 on $10,000 wagered.

As far as payout go, if you play slots exclusively that is your tough luck. They have plenty of video poker and table games with >99% payout.

They were great (past tense because I haven't received a promotion in the past two weeks).

Yes, you won't be receiving any more either, seems you also have been cast below decks into the bilge water.
That is the whole point, this is how they are treating high depositing regular players. Much of my play has been on slots, and the bonuses have -EV in any case because they use such horrible weightings for non-slot games, and 30x for slots.
I WAS a fairly high depositing player who played a fair amount of slots with bets often between 4 and 12, and sometimes higher (mainly Munchkins) - I LOST 3600 with them, yet this warrants a TOTAL ban, not just on the weekly bonuses, but I have been told I can NOT PLAY IN ANY FUTURE LEADERBOARD TOURNAMENT - this is what earned them the most negativity for me.
Bonuses are far rarer at UK Casino Club, but I can still win loads on the tournaments. Bonuses are plentiful at Jackpot Factory (for VIPs), and Palace Group do a number of weekend and midweek offers, although less than in the past.
The poster who is happy with the Privvy is from the US, so maybe they have cut non-US players in particular from all events and offers, and returned to concentrate on the US, perhaps a silly move, for if the UIGEA ends up killing the US market, they will have alienated their non-core, non-US, players who signed up with the CD snail mail promotion, and will have to go back to us and grovel for our deposits, and at a time where they will be unable to afford much in the way of incentives.

They do have one thing in common with their image, you may get luxury, but as with a cruise liner, once the 3 month cruise is over, you get chucked off the ship, and back to reality.
Had I known this treatment was coming, I would have made certain to have "abused" more of their bonuses rather than playing with -EV & looking for lady luck.

I'm from the US and I have stopped getting any promotions for a few weeks now. I also have lost thousands playing at their casinos. Others from the US report the same.

That's good to know. I was worried I got dropped from the promos.

Are they still sending out the offers to non-US players?

Come to think of it I didn't even receive the 15% offer from Roxy Palace this weekend. I think something's up with these MG casinos.

:what:Why do table players always say that? I've been playing online and land-based for years, and for years I never played anything except VP.. Land-based or online. I can honsetly say that except for the very, very, very, very, very, etc.... rare times that I got a Royal Flush or 4-Aces w/kicker , my money always went far quicker playing VP over slots. The swings on VP are outrageous if you play other than JOB. Eventually these swings dip low enough to boot your ass. And I know that my play is pretty close to textbook.
My money always seemed to last longer at land-based VP. But MG multi hand VP is almost always the death of my bankroll if I play it. (and I always play multi-hand because the game is so boring)

Well, the best I could wring out of them was that they had changed the list of who was targeted by these offers.
I thought it was non-US players getting removed, but you say US players are too, and like me you are down thousands with this group.

Makes me wonder if ANYONE is getting offers, or are we all being tricked into thinking that if we continue to deposit & play with absolutely nothing in the way of offers we will suddenly find ourselves on the list again - what a cheek, but it doen't work on me because I have heard this one before, Casino Rewards. Those who fell for that one often still never got their rewards unlocked.
I believe my policy is best, ignore me, and I ignore you (and uninstall the casino & cut up the CD).
If they want us back, it is up to them, and "coming soon" will not be enough, I want the tournament up & running, and visibly so, and the mailers & newsletters flowing.

Surely, that's over the top. Casino CDs make excellent disposable coasters.

It's that hole in the middle, spill the coffee, and it gets through.

Junk mail leaflets make better disposable coasters, and they are absorbent too.
My Mum has had a few CDs for bird scarers, but has enough for now. MG CD's are out of date so quickly anyway, with earlier ones (as in more than 3 months old) the games all uninstall and reinstall from scratch anyway.

They were my absolute favorite group at one time . I deposited with then just almost exclusively every week . They gave me alot of match bonuses and had some terrific promotions . Then about a year and a half ago they just stopped . I had deposited to one of their promotions and when I called to see when I would be credited they said I wouldnt get anymore and they didn't honor the one they had sent me either . I cashed out some but they got more of my money than I got of theirs so their reasoning for not giving their DEPOSITING LOYAL players any more promotions I will never understand . Now I deposit will Jackpot factory and Villento . I also like Grand Monaco . They seem to appreciate my money .

I do have to say in all fairness I have recieved one or 2 of their mailing promotions in the past year but never anything in my email .

Interesting.

I emailed them when the birthday wheel promo started and asked if I was eligible (I deposited there regularly and didnt cash anything out).

The answer I got was that these promotions are random and maybe I will receive the next one. It also stated that NONE of these promotions were based on past play or deposits.

So, you could play there exclusively and still not get a spin of $5 wheel because you werent randomly selected.

I must say there are much better MG groups around, so why would I bother with the nonsense I get from Grand Prive??

Of course, 10 minutes later Casino Grand Bay no longer lived on my desktop

Are they still sending out the offers to non-US players?

yes, they do, nearly daily. but i can't login into my account since 2 months.

i played a lot in the last 2 years at Grand Bay and had nice wins and huge bonuses. can't really complain, usually i got between 10% and 20% of my deposits as a bonus afterwards. also one time an offer 100% up to $5000 (WRx15), i took it and cashed out $20k without any problems.

in terms of bonuses is imho 32red the worst MG Casino. i got never there something more than the regular monthly match. deposited an amount with 5 digits.

Grand Bay & all the Grand Prive Casinos

I'm sorry to hear anyone having a bad time at any casino (especially Americans) because it's hard to deposit, hard to find one to pay in a timely manner, as well. They are the first group who has phoned me to let me know a payment is coming and I appreciate that effort along with the customer service.

I've played at all of the casino's. Grand Bay has been the best by far when it comes to customer service and sheer luck on my part. I think they should be accredited by the meister tho I see why he would not agree with me based on a past issue of an underage player.

Good luck everyone, no matter where you play~

You know, I just recently played at Grand Bay (hadn't in a while, no good offers!) (and no, I haven't received any lately, either). Anyway, contacted support via chat, got a hold of them, they answered my question, played, lost a little, requested a cashout, had it processed in a couple of days.

It was all very routine.

I can't speak to their loyalty program. I don't play enough at any place for the loyalty program to be a factor. :)

someone posted a winning screenie from grand bay recently. so they must be halfway decent or the poster would have got flamed for patronizing the place, n'est-ce pas? (cynthia why did you edit this phrase out of your other post somewhere else? what a great phrase it is too:thumbsup:)
