Wrong to give Virtual Casino a chance

I've been following the Old URL probation story for several months now, so I knew what I was getting into. Last July, it took 15 days for a $1000 withdrawal from their Vegas Strip casino, but it did eventually come through. Not wanting to chance it again, I stayed away from the rest of their affiliates until I got an e-mail from "Roger" last Thursday, sent to the e-mail address I set up exclusively for Vegas Strip:

Dear {my name},

This is Roger, Manager of The Virtual Casino and I've noticed you haven't been back for a while. Well, now's the time to come visit and check out the new casino. You're going to like what you see.

I want to see you in the casino again and I'm going to personally welcome back with "Today's Manager Bonus". That's right, I'm going to personally give you a $20 Free Chip so you can try out all the new games and improve your chances of winning. Just go to the cashier and redeem the coupon {coupon code} You can't say no to free cash. So come on back now.

I'm an attorney, so I'm pretty comfortable reading through the terms and conditions buried on gambling sites. It was clear that I'd be limited to withdraw $20, no matter how much I won, and that there would be a 30x playthrough requirement when I played blackjack with it.

I got lucky, and ended up with $97.50 after $600 worth of play. I then hopped into chat with Danielle, confirmed the $20 limit, and asked about withdrawal methods. She referred me to e-mail Danny in accounting, which I did.

The next day, I checked my Virtual Casino account, and the $97.50 was gone: "Manager Withdrawal Requested". I hopped onto chat and asked about the withdrawal, and was told to contact Roger in accounting. I e-mailed the address in the original e-mail from Roger, and it bounced back. I then used their

to ask about the missing funds. I've yet to receive a response.

I'll be the first to concede that it's only $20 and it's only been five days -- hardly worth making a fuss about -- but if it's so difficult to get a mere $20 back or even get a response, I'd hate to imagine what would happen if I make a deposit and win.

I'd PAB if I thought it'd do any good, but I don't.

Dont you hate it when that happens? Seriously, you did pretty well on $20.00, its such a shame that they would risk losing you as a customer for that amount! It's hard to understand. Thanks for the info, it will help others.( id keep after them just for the heck of it!):eek2:

Well you should since this is the only way I can track this.

The "probation" is teetering at the moment - every good point and bad point count right now.

I'm not too concerned about past issues (but they are always in the back of my head); I'm concerned with how they are operating right now. This is important for me to be able to gauge any improvements on their part.

So, you got the Ole Soft Shoe.
They shuffled you around and got you nowhere.
I'm truly sorry to hear that.
But, It's typical Virtual crap.
It's been years since they've been promising to walk the straight and narrow.
They didn't, they're not and they aren't going to.
They're thieves and I promise you they're not going to change.
Just one question.
WHY SHOULD THEY?

what a crappy offer, to give a manager bonus with a 30x playthru and a withdrawal limit of 20 $ - its just ridiculous.
Maybe the best point is, the "manager" says: You cant say no to free money

oh yes! we can, as long its from virtual:D

I am. I e-mailed them a very simple question on Sunday, using the form on their support site (to accounting@casinosupportcenter.com): "Please contact me about $97.50 missing from my account." Still no response.

Hmm... going through my old notes, it looks like in addition to the $1000 I collected last summer from Vegas Strip (after 15 days of waiting), I also was able to persuade Prism to release $890 in winnings in July (after more than 30 days, nine chat sessions, and four e-mails). If they don't want me as a customer -- which is understandable for someone who won almost $1900 off of them -- why would Roger "personally welcome [me] back" and "personally give [me] a $20 Free Chip"? And if they do want me back to theoretically lose my money back, why would they stonewall over $20?

I'm actually enjoying this one more than the pursuit of the larger amounts -- it's a lot less stressful.

TravisL,

Your powers of persuasion are beyond belief. Prism is one of the casinos that will keep your money whenever you initiate a cashout. A single chat session with their customer service rep is more than enough for me given their damn rude attitude and you have had nine of these. Getting your $890 should be written in the history books. It happens only once in a blue moon.

Going a little off topic, because my $20 is at Virtual and I'm about to talk about Prism, but they're one-and-the-same, aren't they?

I was more shocked than anyone when the Prism withdrawal came through. My guess is that it worked out because

1) I was sickeningly polite in every chat and e-mail, ending all of them with something like "you have a wonderful day." At one point, a rep said I should trade jobs with her (I think her job must've sucked).

2) I took down names and times and dropped them in subsequent conversations, saying things like "I talked to so-and-so at 7:15 PDT on Thursday, and he said..."

3) When they said I needed to contact the manager, I asked politely for his e-mail address, phone number, and specific time that he'd be in the office.

4) I followed up at that time. When I was told he wasn't in (surprise!) I expressed concern for his health and workload.

5) When I e-mailed the manager, I put forth my "assumption" that they'd typed in my Neteller number wrong. Right. My real assumption was that they were waiting for someone else to deposit so they'd have money to pay me.

My favorite thread of conversations went like this (names removed):

{From me:} It's now been more than a month since I initiated my withdrawal, more than three weeks since the withdrawal was approved, more than two weeks since M told me it would be done "any minute," and more than a week since you told me "I will see what I can do to get this sped up for you."

Any progress yet?

Hey, Advanced Players!!!

This is C over at Prism. I have some serious action going on this evening and I am opening some of it up to you guys. Now, you know, based on your skill level, the bonuses will be a little bit different than what regular players are getting but I do have some great deals for you guys better than what is on the Advanced Players page.

Plus, I have a 60% cashable bonus with only 20X playthrough for the first 5 players to make a deposit of $2,000.00 or more. Get in touch with me ASAP.

I've love to take you up on your offers, if I had some kind of way to know that I'd be able to withdraw my potential winnings in a reasonable amount of time.

How's my month-old withdrawal coming along?

To be honest, I do not know why this has been delayed so long. I will talk to accounting about this tomorrow. You were approved to be paid, by me, on the first of this month. I will talk to accounting and see what I can do to get this sped up. I am so sorry for this delay.

The money arrived the next day.

Now HighRollersLounge, on the other hand... that was like pulling teeth, and I had to bring Montana Disputes into that one. Another story for another day.

You're such a sweet heart!

No wonder they paid you so fast, possibly their track record for non-VIP customers. I like the way you kept your cool even though they pulled their own tricks. I guesss in the end your efforts paid off. Nicely done.

Virtual Casino Group---RT---Costa Rica---SIX MONTH PROBATION

Hi Bryan,
I see that Virtual is still in the Rogue Section and still on SIX MONTH PROBATION.
The truth is that I haven't been counting the months but, after all the crap about Virtual that has been continuing why keep them on probation?
You have your thumb on all matters concerning online casinos so I'm sure you've heard about more their lies and bull than I have.
Wanna make an old man happy?
Get rid of them and do a write up in your next newsletter how much they REALLY SUCK.

No news yet

I've emailed them a few times, through their web site and through my regular mail, and not gotten a response. Twice in chat I've been told to call Roger, but his work hours and my available hours to call haven't matched (why should I have to call in the first place?). And one chat session never connected -- I gave up after 5 minutes of waiting:

Still, I'm trying to come up with a time that I can reach Roger by phone. I've got low hopes.

Oh, no. That was an off-on-a-tangent rant about how long it took me to be paid by Prism last summer. I'm still waiting to find out about my money from Virtual.

Got it up and running, and listening as I type...
