YouTeller "false" claims

A new payments processor which says it will be open for business in March this year appears to be falsely claiming to be certified by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Just received this in my inbox from EGaming Review. Does anyone know anything more about this. I can't remember my login for EGaming Review to read the full article.

Just be careful folks concerning new payment processors.

Excuse me??? Can I know what's so false about their claim??? Do you even know what you're talking about???

Please note that YouTeller is a Trademark of Seed Capital Ltd. Do you know what that means? It means taht YouTeller is just a name, the real company is called Seed Capital Ltd.

They are totally under the FSA's approved list. Please do check it out yourself. Don't be accusing them of anything or being false when you don't even know what you're talking about. GEEZ... Although I don't work for them or even have any relations with them, I HATE IT when someone accuses another company/person for being FALSE or etc!

So are you certifying that Yuoteller is completely on the up and up and everything is in order?

Do not shoot the messenger. This was word for word from the email I received from E Gaming Review who are normally a reputable and reliable source.

If you read my comment at the end of the post you would have noticed I said:

I guess an apology is out of the question

soflat, here's the full story from eGaming Review. It's been difficult to gather information on YouTeller and other new payment options for U.S. players, though NuCharge (Bodog), InstaPAY (Intertops) and MyWebATM (Full Tilt) do look like proprietary solutions. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of these.

A new payments processor which says it will be open for business in March this year appears to be falsely claiming to be certified by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA).

YouTeller claims on its website to be a trademark of a company called Seed Capital Ltd, and gives an address in east London. A link on the companys contacts page then diverts to the FSA register of Small E-Money Issuers where a company called Seed Capital Ltd is indeed listed.

However, a search on the FSA website reveals the company behind Seed Capital Ltd to be Oxford Technology Management, a company based in Oxford. When contacted by eGaming Review, a spokesperson at Oxford Technology Management said the company had never heard of YouTeller.

YouTeller also gives a registration number for Companies House in the UK on its website. A search under the number given comes up with the same east London address as the YouTeller website. The only director registered is one Florian Schweitzer with an address given in Austria.

This Seed Capital Ltd was registered at Companies House in October 2006. The other Seed Capital Ltd, from Oxford, registered its name at Companies House in July of last year. Schweitzer is not registered personally with the FSA.

A spokesperson for the FSA said the matter had been passed on to the relevant department for investigation.

Neither YouTeller or Schweitzer was available for comment.

This is what he posted at WOL

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

Seed Capital Ltd. is the owner of a 'Small E-Money Issuer Certificate'. The Oxford based 'Seed Capital (Publishing) Ltd.' may have an other authorization granted by the British Financial Services Authority, but the company that is listed as a Small E-Money Issuer on the FSA website is definitely our company based in London.

put Seed Capital Ltd. In the firm name slot and you get Oxford Technology Management Limited not Youteller or anything else. If the FSAs site is mistaken then they need to correct it.

YouTeller NEWS

The UKs Financial Services Authority (FSA) has moved to clear up the confusion regarding the apparently false claims to certification by new payments processor YouTeller.

An FSA spokesperson has confirmed that it has granted a small e-money certificate to YouTeller, the registered trademark of Seed Capital Limited.

The spokesperson went on to explain that the confusion arose because there is another Seed Capital Ltd to be found on the FSA register with the same name. The contact for this company is Oxford Technology Management, a firm which undertakes insurance mediation.

The spokesperson concluded that they had no reason to suppose that any false FSA claim has been made in the case of this small e-money issuer called Seed Capital Limited.

The contact for the FSA certification at YouTeller is Johannes Knierzinger, a co-founder of YouTeller, though his name does not appear as a director in the Companies House registration.

Florian Schweitzer is the only director named. He has confirmed the confusion over the names at the FSA. He said: It was not our intention to confuse people.

Schweitzer confirmed that his company intends to enter the US gambling transaction market, but added that he had not told the FSA this information.

We didnt say that to anyone, he added. We have the ability to do that, but we have to wait until we receive the advice of our legal advisors.

Fer fuggs ache! Bob's yer uncle. If my gut didn't ache so bad from the laffs I've gotten on here today, I would just lurk. Holy crap. 'We didn't mean to confuse anyone' Aren't there trademarks on the other side of the pond? Are the FSA and LSE that lame? Doesn't matter to me if they are public, private, gmbh, sa, sinisteria, oculus dexter or bafoons. This situation is the most ludicrous opportunity I have seen in generations for some smart money and smart people to capitalize. Hold onto your hats boys, this is gonna get interesting!
Now, I'm gonna try to quit posting, honest.

it gets funnier lojo!

I'm still a little leary about them though
johannes knierzinger and Florian Schweitzer were students in Vienna , both are 24 or 25 yrs old, both belonged to a liberal group called LSF (liberal student forum) in 2005.

Be careful with NuCharge

U.S. players, though NuCharge (Bodog), InstaPAY (Intertops) and MyWebATM (Full Tilt) do look like proprietary solutions. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of these. QUOTE]

I have been using Nucharge at Bodog and have had several customer service issues. It seems to be a one man operation, and although he would return calls fairly quickly early on, now the phone number just tells you to send an email for "guaranteed rapid response". Well, I had already left four messages and now have sent 2 emails and have not had a reply to either in days. Haven't been able to get a deposit done in 3 days now, because of a technical problem and he isn't doing anything about it.

They also have very low limits (Bodog was allowing only $2000 per month). I was able to get Bodog to up my limit by asking.

I do hope other options come up soon. Bodog does also have an alternative option where they will pick up the fees on any deposit over $200. I don't know if this applies to all players or only VIP players - just ask them.

The name of a company is not automatically a trademark. There are some rules about the use of certain words, but otherwise as long as the name is sufficiently different from other companies' names, you can register it.

As of now, the NuCharge phone number sends you to a full voice mailbox. You can't even leave a message.

Still ?? on Nucharge

Yes, I mentioned in my post that you can no longer leave messages. A full week later I have never even gotten a response to multiple email messages. I have been able to use the service (have to keep rebooting for it to allow me to log in), but I have not been able to use a different card than the one I originally registered.

So the jury is still out. This guy is making a killing right now with his fees, but other people will soon join the market, and if he doesn't get his customer service act together, no one will keep using it. Maybe he's just in for the quick take.

I just reread my post above. The processor J. Todd was referring to was YouTeller NOT YouNeteller. I had a brainfreeze moment. :eek2:

All of this stuff is covered in Casinomeister News on an ongoing basis btw.

Youteller needs to be more forthcoming with information in my view.

This guy Florian Schweitzer popping up on message boards now and again with statements that raise questions....and then disappearing before answering those questions, does not strike me as professional or encouraging of trust. And putting freebie ads up on YouTube is not exactly the mark of a financial processing company of substance.

With a launch in March you would expect to see more detail on the persons behind this new venture, their professional track records and the extent of the financial means underpinning the company.

There is also a need for confirmation and clarity on exactly what FSA category Youteller will fall under, what the money ceilings are in that category and how much real regulation there is for that category.

Until that is provided, potential users need to be cautious.
