Get the usual irritating spam from this crowd (Peak Entertainment) promising $200 bonus for this and a $100 monthly for that blah blah blah.

Deposit money on the strength of my personal invitation only to be advised - no bonus for Australians.

The ink wasn't even dry on the invitational email to come and grab my terrific monthly bonus. These casinos continue to fudge the truth. It was not so long ago they screwed players over monthly bonuses and yet they still remain on the "accredited" list. What a freaking joke - I sometimes think it is harder to get off the accredited list than it is to get on it in the first place.

Why.

So why are Australians now evil?

We have Danes, Chinese, Swedes etc, but AUSTRALIANS!!!!

Looks like they are making this up as they go along.

Whether they should be stripped of accredited status would rest on the nature of the mailer. It could well be an affiliate, and the issue would be one of poor control of affiliate's activities. if the invitation came directly from the casino, it was either a personal invitation knowingly sent to you because you gave them permission to send you offers, or the casino itself is guilty of sending out randomly addressed spam to a mailing list with no knowledge of the person behind it and where they live.
Much spam is made to look like personal invitation, but it is done using templates and substitution scripts. Very evident when it goes wrong, such as receiving an invitation addressed to:-

Dear <player_id>,
We would like to personally offer you a bonus on your account <account_id> based on your first deposit of <vip_level_seed?promo_id>

........ or such like.

Got a few like this from BelleRock:D

Was the email directly from the casino, or was it from an affiliate? That makes a big difference. If it was from the casino, then it may be from sloppy ad mailings. If you were exempt from the bonus, then they shouldn't be making a general offering. It leaves too much room for errors.

As for the "accredited" list being hard to get off - think again. There were a number of casinos dropped off of this list last year. Omni was removed a while back for a number of months when their terms weren't clear, but were re-instated when this was cleared up.

Hi,

We allow Australians to receive monthly bonuses. Did someone from Peak tell you that Australians were not allowed to receive bonuses?

Frank

Direct from the web site:

"Promotions are intended as a bonus to loyal players, and to attract new end users to Omni Casino. Omni Casino encourages end users to participate in promotions, but to refrain from abusing them. Any abuse of a promotion which comes to the attention of Omni Casino may result in the cancellation of that promotion and/or future promotions. Due to bonus abuse, the following countries have been barred from receiving any promotional bonuses including referral bonuses: Australia, China, Latvia, Bulgaria, Malaysia, and The Ukraine".

Australians are banned due to "bonus abuse" whatever on earth that means. The bonus invitation received via email is from Peak Entertainment and addressed to me by name. Not more than one week ago I could claim a bonus. Some time under the stealth of New Years night Aussies have been transformed into "bonus abusers". Ban me from getting a bonus for whatever reason and I won't give a tinkers after about 5 minutes - but frig me around depositing for make believe bonuses then I get pissed off.

Well that explains why the codes wouldnt work this month - had someone at Omni getting back to me a few days ago (but of course they didnt) about why they wouldnt work.

Oh well - another few casinos less on my hard drive - not always a bad thing :)

Quite pathetic though if you ask me. I wouldnt think that thousands of Aussies are skimming them dry and running off in to the distance. After all, how can you abuse a bonus that carries a 30x bonus playthrough before any withdrawals can be made...???

Goodbye Peak!

Sorry about that, I just found out that this is a temporary ban due to a problem we had with some Australian players in November. Hopefully this ban will be lifted at the end of this month.

Lifted

You may find that all the "good" Aussies you have insulted have moved elsewhere, and a few more of the "problem players" will be waiting around ready to pounce as soon as the ban is lifted.

It would have been more professional to ensure that ALL departments were "playing the same tune", so we didn't have CS who were unable to tell one Aussie player why codes had stopped working, and another department launching a marketing push that included attempting to recruit more Australian players with the promise of bonuses at a time when a ban was in place.

Can Australians now be sure that this will not happen again, or do they have to deposit & take the chance each month that the codes are going to work? Can players from other countries be sure they will not suffer a similar lightning ban without warning or explanation?

Good points Vinyl.

Ive uninstalled all of them now anyway, so that a few hundred each month they will all miss out on - but then, all those withdrawals I have never made must have been hitting them hard....

Maybe its the huge value of our currency or something...???

The CS rep handling my issue still hasnt got back to me anyway, so that just shows that nobody has a clue so I wouldnt want to risk my funds there anyway.

Well... We danes have been forced to live with that for 5 years now... if it's any comfort to you ;)

I can live without their bonus - I don't want the spam emails splashing a bonus they never intended to deliver. If you invite to deposit on the strength of a promised bonus then you should honour the promise.

Both Omni and Sands failed to make good on promises (and they have previous form for the same misdemeanour). They are still on the accredited list - makes a mockery of an accredited list IMHO.
