Jackpot Factory Responds to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act

October 4, 2006 The management of the Jackpot Factory Group, along with the rest of the online casino community, learned last weekend that the US Senate passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, which in essence prohibits banking and payment processors from making or receiving payments from online gambling operations.

Without a doubt, this is a serious development in our industry; however, the Jackpot Factory Group and its casinos are continuing with business as usual for the foreseeable future. We are committed to providing a fun and reputable online casino experience.

Over the course of the next few months, the Jackpot Factory Group, along with BrightShare, our exclusive affiliate program, will continue to monitor this situation. More importantly, though, players will still be able to find safe and secure online gambling at any one of our casinos and affiliates will continue to receive the professional service that they have come to know.

Good for them - it's nice to see someone with a little courage giving the finger to Frist et al.

I think in the coming days as the initial panic cools down we might see a little more of this (obviously not from the publicly listed companies) from offshore companies determined to carry on welcoming Americans in spite of the US situation.

The funding is going to be more difficult once the US authorities have their ducks in a row, but as the CEO of the AGA has already said (and I'm paraphrasing) "Where money is involved it will always find a way."

Some of the poker sites are not folding either. And Neteller isn't either - at least yet.

I don't know why a casino would care if an American plays or not as long as the money can be funded. The bill isn't aimed at players. Nothing has changed.

I am thinking of funding non US Banking institutions to fund Neteller. I agee with giving the finger to Frist, hense my attempt in the title.

Jackpot Factory has locked US accounts

According to the VIP department, today Jackpot Factory closed the accounts of their players residing in certain states in the US. NY being one of them. I was told that all Microgaming casinos locked the accounts of their players that live within these 18 states. I can remember some of them but not all. Indiana, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, South Dakota, Nevada,
Washington, Wyoming.....sorry folks thats all the states I can remember.

BUSH SUCKS!!!!!
