Received a letter via snail mail from 888.com saying oooh new casino bla la la we are offering you a special bonus of up to $100
(Bold in original letter)
OK so i go on the website and sure enough seems there is a july promotion of 50% up to $100 bonus match.
Hmmm ok check the bonus policy, which playthrough would this fall under ?
The welcome ? Others ? 88 ? I'm unsure so I bring up a live support to ask.
I ask him about the playthrough on the July Bonus.
He says yes I see you are eligible for a $20 bonus on your next deposit and it was 20 times if via credit card etc and 50 if via neteller or something etc.
I say oh I received a letter saying I was offered a bonus of UP TO $100
That's the clever wording, UP TO. The bonus offered depends on the player activity he tells me. Riiiiiight then. So looks like I have no idea of knowing exactly what this bonus is.
I could have deposited $200 thinking I would get a $100 as the promotion and letter certainly seems to imply but via some clever wording they could give me a bonus of $1 and it would remain consistent with the letter I received. I think that is rather misleading and am glad I asked live support first and found this out before depositing anything.
Hopefully other people won't end up depositing $200 thinking they are getting a $100 bonus to end up with only a fiver. Pretty misleading and deliberately vague letter that I though, poor show. Especially as the letter starts out with the usual bullshit of "as a valued casino on net player" etc etc.

Sounds pretty crappy to me. I'd lodge a complaint with eCOGRA complaining about sloppily written promos. They need to be upfront with this stuff.

i got the same in an email and also some info on their $888.888 weekend it all looks fine and dandy until you start to read between the lines like you have - needless to say the email didnt last long in my inbox before the delete button was hit.

i recieved the same snail mail letter. deposited $100 thinking i was getting $100! e-mailed them because when i went on live chat to ask the wagering, the woman gave me an e-mail address i needed to send to to inquire about this bonus. i waited yonks for a reply to my e-mail, only to find out it was x20 bonus wr, and only $20 bonus! lost the lot, so didnt matter in the end! i then found out 21.com is a new casino, its a 888.com skin. i deposited $200 in there casino, only to find out on live chat, that if you have deposited into 888.com within the last 6 month, you cant recieve the new player $200 bonus:what: ....had enough of these people, so i played a few hands of b/j (won $40) then cashed out. and btw, 5 days to recieve my withdrawl through neteller is a complete joke! had a misserable day with these lot:mad:

It is things like this that are KEEPING Casino on Net, 888 and Pacific Poker ( all ran by Cassava) on my Casino Blacklist.

It seems like everytime I turn around I see another scummy thing that these folks are doing.

As this thread grows seems the scum is quickly turning into mold and spreading like wildfire with casino promotions.

I have just seen this thread
Seems like what i received from pacific today
I have put my thread in poker section
