Player's Only Casino Complaint

I had made a $50 deposit with Player's Only and recieved a bonus after pre-wagering. I cleared the bonus within a week, with $23 in winnings from Blackjack (not including the bonus).

I made a withdrawal in the total amount of $105 (original deposit+bonus+winnings), but before the withdrawal was processed, Player's Only shut down my account and credited me with only my original $50 deposit.

I have contacted CS repeated asking why my account was shut down, and they keep saying that "it was closed per management decision". However, they will give me no reason WHY it was shut down. This should be a simple answer that they are apparently unwilling to give.

I know the casino is perfectly within their rights to manage their customer base as they see fit. However, if they offer a bonus, accept a deposit, and the player follows the rules of the bonus structure, they should pay out. Period. It is especially unexcusable that they took my winnings (as well as the bonus) without even a simple explanation of WHY this occured. It is not a stretch to speculate that if I had lost money, they would have kept it without a problem.

I know this is a piddling sum, but I figure if they are willing to steal such a small amount from me, they may steal more from you. I recommend that you stay away from Player's Only.

Typical

This type of crap is becoming more common it seems. Why don't they just exclude certain games if that is what they mean.
I am getting the impression that this is how many operate, if a player wins from a first deposit bonus, confiscate and get rid of them if it looks like they are a sensible player (unlikely to give the casino back the money, and more).
It looks like some casinos are intent on going for the short term gain with the bonus lure, hoping to get away with it as they believe online gambling is a rather lonely activity. When they hit bad publicity, they will have had time to come up with an excuse, and rearrange promotions to be "safer" for them.
Without proper regulation, there is little to stop this, or to publicise it. This is why this forum, and some others, are useful. If we see a string of complaints from a particular casino, the heat will be turned up on them, and they will have to account for their actions or lose customers.

Since beginning to play online, I have discovered that just because a casino is on a website, and seems "safe", does not mean it is. Some sites will promote the casinos that pay them the most, and will not be too bothered if they offer poor service. It is best to find websites that you feel you can trust, and see if THEY are prepared to promote the casino.

One site here in the UK will promote the likes of Roxy Palace and Intercasino one week, and the next comes a mailer for Club Dice and Casino Tropez - I am sure that 2 years ago I would have believed the mailer at face value, but being a member here makes me instinctively shut my wallet when I see these names come up:D Today was "Green Table Casino", 300 bonus and 25800 points (worth around 40), oddly enough, it turned out to be Casino Tropez - no sign of a "Green Table" here! The same bunch also run "Hammers" casino, and it has NO affiliation to the football club that I am aware of, but it's a good snare for what is effectively another "Monaco Gold" skin!

Update - Players Only

This is part of SportingBet. They tend to have problems with players who win with bonuses if they have accounts at other sites run by them. If you also had an account at any of the following, and took a bonus, this might explain.

Sportingbet Global Sites

Site, Description
Sportingbet, Sportingbet
ParadisePoker, The world's premier Online Poker Room
Aces Online, Poker and Casino Games
SportingbetUSA, Sportsbook, licensed betting online
Sportsbook Online, sports betting & internet Casino
Playersonly, Worlds sexiest sportsbook
Wallstreet, Online Poker, Sports Betting, Online Casino, Horse racing
Superbook, Online sportsbook betting lines and wagering on all major sports
Bingobilly, Online Bingo
Mysportsbook, Online sportsbook, Sports betting
Sportingbet PLC, Sportingbet PLC
Sportingbet.com.au, Sportingbet Australia

Player's Only seems to be aimed at the "base instincts" of the rampant male. Perhaps a "distraction burglary" of your bonus and winnings.

Thanks for the update. I have an account at Aces Online -- that must indeed be the reason for the shutdown. It would have been nice for them to tell me this, however, either before the fact or now.

The real issue here is that if there is some sort of a problem with me having an account at Aces and Player's, then why were they so quick to accept my money in the first place, and then lock my account only AFTER I profited from the casino? I think the answer to that is obvious.

Stay away from Player's Only, and probably Sportingbet Global Sites in general.

Not related to the thread.. but weird

I am new to Casinomeister...

However a weird behaviour I've noticed very often in this forum and its that a lot of gamblers out there know about the meister's site and forum... Never the less they keep going to unknown and dishonest casinos to make deposits (sometimes even with their credit cards) and then they come here to complain and cry about their experiences)

Is this a gambling junkie behaviour?? Do we like been treated like crap and not getting paid what we deserve?? (I include my self since I have done it in the past)

It is really weird... I am sure that the threads and posts will lower in a tremendous way if people would only play at casinos accredited by this site.

Some of us have the urge of being scammed and treated like homeless dogs in order to satisfy our gambling sickness.

So it seems to me that gambling is no longer the addiction... Now we look for morons operating online gambling websites so we can take advantage of their bonuses, play a little, not get paid and then come here and bring every little annoying detail we have found with that company.:D

I like it though. In that way the crappy and awful casinos are exposed to the gambling community, however is weird...

Is it weird for you too?

THREAD TITLE: Player's Only winnings stolen

Okay, this is going to sound a little silly to some, maybe not to others. I'm sorry that it really doesn't have anything at all to do with the content of the post.

I've not personally heard of 'Player's Only' ?(Casino/Sportsbook).... So when I saw the thread title, my first thought was.......'How sad! A NEW online gambler gets lucky their first time playing online and their winnings were stolen!! Then I read more - and realised that 'Player's Only' musta been the name of the ?Casino or Sportsbook. Now don't I feel silly!

Anyway, I guess that I bring it up because we are online and what is written is sometimes misinterpreted from the real context, and that we should always try to write clearly so that assumptions are not made.

BillJames, I'm not saying anything negative about your post at all, so please don't get me wrong. :) I'm just remarking in general. But your title DID get me to click on it! lol ;)

I betcha I didn't make sense at all! :D

Posts like this make me really angry:mad:

Not at the poster....at the casino!

I dont care if the player is a dedicated bonus whore ( not saying you are billjames )
I dont care if he has whored 100's of casino's
I dont care if has only wagered the exact minimum
I dont care if he has played others in your group
I dont care if he only joined up to get the bonus
I dont care about all the other reasons you might have!!!!!!!!

If you have given a player a bonus and he has not broken the terms..pay him!!

You know it happens.....stop crying about it!

This group is notorious for enforcing a multiple account rule that doesnt seem to be publically viewable.
Here is a link to another instance only involving far more cash.
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

If this breaks any posting rules I apologise. I cant see any conflict between the sites interests

I am now a believer! This is the first time something like this happened to me, and it the first time that I've tried a casino that I didn't see positive stuff about here on Casinomeister...

I am mainly a poker player, but as far as when I want to play some blackjack, I like to try out different software to see what I like the most. Needless to say, I didn't like Player's Only software, and I really don't like their management's ethics!

And I guess I should have stated "Player's Only Casino" in the thread title;) Now that I read it the way the last couple posters read it, it does sound pretty depressing...luckly it was only $23 in stolen winnings for me!

I havent had a problem with this group, been playing there, with weekly deposits, for about 2 months.

edit: Support convo:

Me: hi
Me: i was wondering if it is okay to have an account at superbook and players only
Lional: Yes, it is
Me: okay
Me: is there any sort of rules regarding accounts among the players only casinos? >
Me: or can you have one account at every one
Lional: You are allowed to have one active account per site
Me: okay
Me: cool
Lional: You are not allowed more than one active account at each site
Me: right
Me: but just one is perfectly fine, right?
Me: thanks
Lional: yes
Lional: Thank you

These crooks at SportingBet locked all of my accounts and have refused to release the $300 I have deposited in two of their sites recently.

For the record, I have several accounts, but one per "skin," which the above post points out, is completely legal. About a week or two ago, I had three accounts locked due to "bonus abuse" (one of which was Players Only). Through support, I got no good answer as to what they meant; I was simply told that my accounts were locked and it was a management decision that would not be reversed.

Frantic, I tried withdrawing my deposits only from the other skins in which I had an account (Aces.com and Sportfanatik.com). The next day, both those accounts were locked.

I spoke to reps from both Aces.com and Sportfanatik, and got a reply today from Aces.com regarding my account:

I write to inform you that our management department have completed their review of your account and have concluded that no more funds will be returned to you. As per our records more funds have been sent then were received on the account.

(is it just me, or does that sound like you could, theoretically, have your account locked if you win at all?)

I'm waiting for a response from Sportfanatik, but I expect the same story (not to mention, they are on day #3 even though I was promised a resolution within 24 hours). Again, I'd like to point out that I'm just trying to withdraw my original deopsits, and no actual bonus money won from these two sites.

And I probably don't need to say it, but I would advise people to stay away from SportingBet sites...

I'd like to add...I have, on occasion, taken advantage of some of their reload bonuses. However, I always make sure to provide some cover play before making any withdrawals. And I certainly do not withdraw simply with the intention of re-depositing.

Edit: Regarding my Sportfanatik.com account:

Further to your inactivated account, we can confirm that no further funds will be refunded to you.

We have already credited back more than what you have deposited.

All initial deposits made in your account should have been refunded.

We hope that this clarifies matters.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

That's interesting, considering I have made one deposit to this account, and have NEVER made a withdrawal from it!

Hmmm...there may already be possible resolution to my situation.

I just got this email from Sportfanatik:

Dear Peter,

Just a quick note to inform you that your withdrawal for $250.00 will be sent on 07/05 via Neteller.

If you have any questions in relation to this matter please do not hesitate to contact us here.

Regards,
Ray

Watch the language please.

If anyone is having a problem with "Players Only" please PAB if you haven't done so already and I'll try to look into this. Thanks!

However, from Aces.com:

I write to inform you that our management department have completed their review of your account and have concluded that no more funds will be returned to you. As per our records more funds have been sent then were received on the account. As per site rules this decision is final and will not be reviewed again.

It was found that bonus abuse was the reason for this - You received the same bonus in these accts: [account numbers deleted]

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

So my accounts were locked because I claimed the same bonus from each account...never mind the fact that each site offered the same bonus individually.

What's the point of permitting multiple accounts (one per skin) if I can't claim the bonus at each site?

Sorry about that.

And I already filed a PAB regarding Aces.com and Sportfanatik :)

Billjames - you need to follow up with a PAB. I spoke with the manager over the phone about your issue and there seems to be much more to your complaint then what you are stating here.

Please submit a complaint here:
https://www.casinomeister.com/player-arbitration-pab/

Thanks, Casinomeister. I just filled out the PAB form -- let me know whatever other information you need.

My issue has been partially resolved, as Sportfanatik has refunded my $250 deposit!

Aces.com continues to refuse to refund my $50, though...but $250 is a lot better than $0.

Casinomeister:

If I have yet to have a problem with this group, would you advise me to continue play or avoid them until things have been ironed out?

Well I'm happy to report that my issues with SportingBet PLC have finally been resolved:)

Dear Peter

I write to inform you that our management team have reviewed your account and can now confirm that all your accounts are now re-activated. In addition your pending withdrawal has also been sent to be processed. This can take up to 48 hours.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and as a form of compensation for the mishap we can offer you a free play worth $15.00. This can be on a straight wager to a 2 team parlay.

Please note that you will need to call us on our 800 number to avail of this free bet and only the winnings of this bet will be credited to your account.

Once again we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Best regards,

From what I see, I don't see any signs of alarm.

I am still concerned. I am probably up a total of $3k lifetime for the group, and I currently have no money in them. I occasionally deposit and play the weekly deposit bonus on thursdays.

Have any of the players who lost their net winnings recieved compensation?

I got access restored to most of my accounts, and all pending withdrawals were sent to me.

Depending on how many sites you play at, my recommendation to you would be to limit your play to 2 or 3 skins at the most.
