My C/C issuer has just eliminated all online gaming deposits, besides using Neteller any suggestions or does anybody know of any casinos who have gotten around this problem.

Cant blame them
Most folk using cc run up bills they cant pay
About time cc companys took a responsible atitude

NEVER GAMBLE ON CREDIT

Couldn't have said it better....but on the other hand, there are people out there that use them for convenience, and simply pay them off each month. I know Visa has it where you're not responsible for purchases rang up if your card is stolen. If you're using a checking account, well, tough luck.

Neteller is your best alternative. Definately the fastest when trying to cashout.

I've used a prepaid debit/credit card (MasterCard) for the past 2 years and never have been declined. It is by Netspend (www.netspend.com) and is backed by a land based bank in Texas. You can go to their website and enter your zip code to find funding locations. It actually helps me budget my gambling dollars since I have to fund it when I want to use it. I also cashout my winnings directly to the card since it works like a checking account for ACH transfers. For $9.95 a month you get unlimited transactions, which is cheaper than a lot of other funding options, and some options (such as funding using your PayPal account) are free.

It's great!

Thanks!! I used to use one of those prepaid cards that were available at CVS, etc, but they stopped allowing online gaming transactions about 3 months after I got the thing. Quite a ripoff actually, because you had to pay another $20 just to use it for that purpose.....even once they changed their T&C, you couldn't get a refund.

edit: errr....$9.95/month? Quite steep. Most others are $4.95/month. This also falls back on Neteller being better. 1. It's free, as most casinos eat the instacash charges, 2. Free to fund 3. Just as secure as using any other method. 4. It's the preferred method of most, if not all, online casinos 5. You can get a Neteller debit card and have access to your cash immediately once it hits your account. :)

Neteller

I have one account at a casino that seriously discriminates against me using Neteller instead of my credit card (Reef Club). The WR is 50x if I have used Neteller, even if it isn't a deposit related bonus but a prize in the competitions! It's not other webwallets either, just Neteller - and I have never come across any reason why this should be if Neteller is supposed to be the preferred player in the industry. I also see the heated debate about Jupiter Club and Neteller, are they deliberate problems to stop it's use?
888.com also has this anti-Neteller term, of course it's coincidence, as in a recent thread of complaint about Reef Club they stated that they had no direct relationship with them other than Reef Club using their software. I have never been able to get 888.com working on my PC except for Blackjack - so I gave it up once I zeroed out and tried Reef Club, which worked!

I appreciate the replies, I dont have a problem covering my C/C balances each month but I was a Neteller victim of double billing a couple of years ago and not just once but 9 times and it took them 5 months to get my money back so I vowed to never use them again, I am from Canada and we have a online debit called USEMYBANK but they charge me their current exchange plus 4% and I have a hard time dealing with that so I like to use my C/C so I guess I will have to keep searching.

To clarify the Netspend fees... $9.95 a month gives you unlimited transactions but it's just one option. The regular fee is $1.00 per debit transaction/purchase (but I use it quite a bit so going the monthly fee route is cheapest for me) so if you were only depositing once a month, it would be $1.00 which is pretty cheap (and no fee to cashout back to your account).

Some (such as myself) can't use Neteller for various reasons, so this card, along with Payspark, are my two options. Also, I prefer not having anything tied to my own personal bank account. Netspend doesn't require any credit check and isn't linked to any other of your personal finance accounts... which is my preference :)

The card is a debit card that also acts as a credit card so you can use it anywhere MasterCard is accepted.. that's a plus for me too. But to each his/her own as they say :)

p.s. it's only available in the US

I understand if someone chooses not to use Neteller, but what reason could there be for not being able to use Neteller.

Depends on your location. I know here in the states you can't signup for Neteller if you live in Maryland. Go figure...no idea why..

Some people don't like having a company having all the info (routing #, etc) from their bank. It's a personal choice.

And who cares if the casino covers your expenses for having to fund your neteller account.

I think the prepaid mastercard thing is a great idea! I can't wait to have a little more PRIVACY in my transactions.

Although everyone thinks that Neteller is the BEST and etc, I don't think it is. Why? Well, here's a few of the reasons...

1. I could not signup for it because I live in Malaysia.
2. When I tried using my Singapore address, I could signup but out of the blues, I got an email from them telling me that I still owe them US$1000 or something of that sort. Yes, I do agree that I lived in the US for quite some time when I was studying there but hell... how many of you guys could tell me if you had time for online casinos or even spare change when you were in college. It's impossible that I owe them money. I don't even have an account with them.
3. I hate things that tie up with your bank account. I have never EVER paid a bill (when in the US) via phone check or something like that. I'd rather use my Credit Card or Debit Card. It's safer and more documented.

So, there's about a few reasons why I don't think Neteller is good and why I can't/won't be using them until they get their FACTS right!!!

I'm hoping that no John Smith owes them money, coz if he did, they'd most probably BAN each and every "John Smith" in their system, which I am sure is a LOT!!!

Another alternative that I much prefer over neteller is Payspark Works very much the same way except it isnt linked to any of your information whatsoever it's a card linked to a checking acct. that Payspark sets-up for you only problem with it really is only Microgaming casino's accept Payspark and also you have to load a minimum of 50$ at a time or more onto it but other than that I love my payspark payout's are just as fast as neteller there support is much more friendly and you get an atm access card that you can use at P.O.S. terminals as well so it's also an option!

I also have had similar problem's with neteller and won't use there service either!! One of my friend's tried to set-up an acct. with them a while back he set-up an account and that went fine but after they let him deposit 100$ from his debit card into the neteller account they then emailed him saying they couldnt let him use the funds because of an Address conflict and then took almost 60 days to get him his 100$ back which I think is outrageous. I also found the support people there to be extremely rude and not helpful at all...... Maybe I just had a bad experience however it's one Im not willing to possibly have to deal with again but that's just my 2-Cent's on it!

While I mostly play at microgaming casinos, sometimes I play at others, so my Netspend card is handy (and hasn't been declined yet). I also have Payspark so I alternate between the two (sometimes I can cashout via ACH method to Netspend but some casinos don't allow it so I cashout to Payspark).

Payspark just released a new card that's a MasterCard credit/debit card. I haven't tried it out yet but maybe it will be accepted at non-Microgaming (is that a word?) casinos.

grrrr

I wish Netspend would actually tell you on the site that they "hold" your funds for the first 24 hours. And that they do not give you the CC #/CVV2# over the phone (like mymccard.com does) so you can use it immediately online. Now I get to wait a friggin week before I get the card so I can use it. Leaving a bad taste in my mouth already. I sure hope to hell this works as everyone says it does for online casinos; seeing as how I just moved and haven't setup a bank account yet - so Neteller is useless to me right now :p

personally i would avoid any company willing to give out a cc# & cvv2# over the phone.

When I signed up for a Netspend card, I was given a temporary card that could only be used at ATM machines and was told that the actual card would be mailed to me (took less than 1 week to receive). The card you receive in the mail is a genuine MasterCard credit/debit card (with MasterCard logo) and has your 3 digit code on the back. It does work well for casino deposits. And many casinos will let you do an ACH withdrawal to it too (the ones that don't require a voided copy of a check). ACH deposits to the card work (example, I have my paycheck direct deposited to it) but you can't use it to ACH out. Still, it's a very good option for people who don't want their regular bank accounts associated with gambling transactions.
