Webmasters BEWARE: Get all deals in writing

I am a newer webmaster, but my forum has really taken off.
I had a deal with CPAYS for September ($3000) and they are saying the deal does not exisist. I can prove I had the deal because I asked my rep 20-30 times about the deal in MSN Instant chats.

I asked for a record of the chats and every chat where I metioned or asked about the deal is DELETED.
I can prove chats have been deleted. The chat where my rep explained NO USA affiliates is GONE! He can not say this chat never existed!!

Basically, I had 104 new depositors in August and I made $0 because all the winners. My rep said to me I will pay you $3000 flat for 3 months because I do not want to loose you.

I asked him over and over.. So i get $3000 this month no matter what my stats show? Every time he said Yes! I understand cancelling for October/November because the new USA law. However, I earned the $3000
by getting 70+ new depositors, and now I get $0. I know they would have paid the $3000 if the USA law never happened.

I would like to say that I loved my CPAYS rep, and I trusted him in full!
It never occured to me to get our deal in writing, because we spoke of it almost everyday. I thought we were friends. Also I disregarded all the negative things I heard about CPAYS from all the other reps and Affiliates.
    I was a trusting fool!!

I have emailed CPAYS managers requesting they review the chats and have
    never received 1 response.

Please learn from my foolish mistake! Trust NOONE!! GET ALL DEALS for
commission and everything else in WRITING!!

I was told by cpays, i better not post this problem anywhere, but I do not care what they say now...

I had no clue one of the largest affiliate companies would do this!
I was arrogant, I thought I was too large of an affilaite to be mistreated,
and it never occured to me any reputable company would do this.

Please learn from my foolish mistake! Trust NOONE!! GET ALL DEALS for
commission and everything else in WRITING!!

    Sad and embarrased,

    Typical.

Getting it in writing doesn't help there.

Most others are fine though, so don't dispair.

Cpays is NOT a reptuable company!

That is why Cpays are on so many webmasters Rogue list and Blacklist.

These people at Cpays are the scum of the online gambling world.

And with the new laws in America they are even going to be worse than they were in the past, I know that is hard to believe, but mark my words.

Any gambler or affiliate that does business with Cpays is going to get ripped off, it is just a matter of time.

Dom is right getting it in writting makes no difference with these theives at Cpays. As a matter of fact, if you were to wave a written agreement in their faces it would just make them laugh harder at you (and yes they are laughing at you)... and thats no joke.

I consider this a great learning experience..

    Never trust anyone from
    any affiliate group!!
There are a lot of decent programs out there.

Webmasters, like players, need to stay informed!

All of us need to go to message boards and read about player complaints and webmaster complaints alike. If you do due diligence, you will find decent casinos to do business with.

Thanks! That is very true.. but in this business all deals need to be in writing!
Honest casinos are sold all the time to new groups and everyone must
    protect themselves!!

Please remember everyone: this is one of the few problems I have had
and I have dealt with over 100 casinos now

The majority of programs and casinos are honest... but
you still need to protect yourself and demand
higher commissions! Never take the advertised commission!

As I said it looks like cpays is trying to fix this problem now..
    so all is not lost

A Big thanks to Casino Meister!! Posting these issues makes
everyone feel better and gives us some leverage against
    these casino affiliate programs

As I see it the agreement made with you would have required an upfront payment by the casino and not the affiliate program. In other words it would have made more sense for the $3k to come from the marketing budget. Also a MSN chat cannot be used as evidence as it is stored in an XML file which can easily be modified.

This sentence would make my hair stand up straight. For any affiliate rep to promise this is dangerous. With such a statement there is way to much freedom for you as an affiliate to abuse the deal. Now I know in your case there was mutual trust but still there must have been some kind of threshold...

Yes.. I was a complete newbie at that point with no clue about anything..

I thought he was my friend.. LOL.. he had paid similar side deals for $200-$400 with no problem before that so I assumed deals where made by chat all the time... Also he said if it was in the record they would pay the $3000..
that is why I mentioned the chats

I am now dealing with a good manager and he seems very interested
in paying some of the money and moving on...

I will update if I get paid, but it looks good now

They did metion this post at casino meister so i think that helped

Also, strangely, the rep I had the problem with is now
    on "extended vacation"

I would like to add that in retrospect I may have misunderstood the deal

The rep has since explained that The $3000 deal never started.. but I asked over and over..
That is why I think now, it was my fault as much as cpays
    Hind sight is always 20/20

I am happy cpays is looking to correct the problem now
