Hello everyone:) I started playing in online casinos not so long ago and what about you? How long you've been playing? Did it take long to win for the first time?

Well, define "win". Started this lark in 2014 and had bt biggest hit in 2016 which was one of the lower jackpots on a Playtech Hulk/Spiderman slot (I forget which!) which bought me about £2300.

Edit - Just to say this was on a 50p stake during autoplay!

Used to play Black Jack at Ladbrokes once every 6 months many years ago. Then about 6 years ago I joined up with Virgin Games, took a SUB from a £50 deposit, won about £1,200 and tried to withdraw, but being a newbie I didn't take note of WR and couldn't complete the withdrawal. I then proceeded to carry on playing and lost it all!

Cheesed off with that, I joined up with a couple of other casinos and discovered the Playtech Marvel slots and got hooked on the progressives - quickly winning on the progressives and that got me playing a bit more regular.

Good question

Probably was at ladbrokes playing thunderstruck2 in maybe 2006?

it was somewhere around then

Well yes like others here I too won what I believed to be 'easy money' about five years ago when I had inadvertently stumbled upon some colourful slot games online. I believe I had probably started 'gambling' by dabbling in online Blackjack at Sky Vegas because I thought being an ex dealer that I could utilize my skillz.

I even remember distinctly feeling guilty because I'd made several £5 deposits after losing, little realizing that online AI play is rigged to high heaven :p

So for some light relief I tried out some slot games, no idea what was going on, and it proved to be a tad more expensive than a pixxelated card game to boot. Alas, I ended up winning crazy amounts like £34 on bonus rounds  and thought 'this is the way forward'

My first cashout back then would have been in the £20-40 range for sure, and I felt rather chuffed

Well, thread title said "in online casinos" so what the hell:
  • started working with WinnerOnline (aka WOL) in October 1998 as a content writer.
  • by 2001 I was WOL's forum manager and Senior Content Writer. Before I was done I'd written 3000+ articles and well over a million words.
  • as an aside check out this blast from the past, the most popular article I ever wrote (c. 2001): Link Outdated / Removed. (WOL has since turned into a pumpkin, hence the non-WOL link)
  • on a chilly November morning in 2007 I was given my walking papers as WOL wasn't doing so well and no longer "required" my services.
  • by the afternoon of that chilly November day I'd signed on with Bryan here at Casinomeister and started working as the PAB guy on 1st December.
  • and here we are! Almost a decade on the job here at CM, almost 20 years since the early WOL days. Lots has changed -- and changed again, and again! -- but the Complaints Manager gig continues. :D

I started playing online in 2000-01. I would play at a number of Microgaming casinos, back when they were the only game in town. Had some decent wins at King Solomon's Casino, where I had to play in U.S. funds. They sent me cheques in the mail and they went through.

I didn't start playing in earnest until January 2015 when PlayOLG.ca opened up shop and it was October 2015 when I started playing on European casinos.

Just did a search in my Gmail account for "casino" to see what were the first few sites I registered with.

Came up with Cool Cat Casino, Casino Grand Bay, Lake Palace Casino in November '04.

I don't remember any of them, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were all rogues because I had no idea what I was doing back then. :)

Welcome to CM!

I myself started playing at the end of 2014, first win was early 2015!

Few things led to another, and now I am working for one here in lovely Malta!

I sometimes write articles too. Unfortunately, there are no so many of them, especially comparing with the number of yours.

I used to play in a local B&M casino (small time), almost exclusively video poker. It was right next door to a Ladbrokes bookies - a few lads in the casino were talking about playing poker online and the convenience of collecting their winnings directly from the shop.
So I signed up to Ladbrokes and tried out poker but it wasn't for me - I have Adult ADD and can't concentrate for long periods, I go on tilt easily and give up. I opened up the Ladbrokes casino from their poker client and found Alaskan Fishing, won something like £300 almost immediately and that was me hooked on Video Slots. That was around 2007 if I remember correctly.

God I miss the old Ladbrokes. They stole it from us. Bastards :(

I did a search for casinos in my old email add i used before.

The earliest i could find was from 2008 (a long time before i found CM), so i guess it must have been around that time i started with online casinos.

I first started gambling online around 1999 / 2000, I can't remember exactly. It was strictly sportsbetting on Centrebet in the beginning, then I tried out other bookies. It evolved into playing blackjack, video poker and slots a few years later.

I actually remember the first other casino I tried out after Ladbrokes - Cool Cat Casino

Sheesh if I had only been to Casinomeister first
I didn't have a lot of money back then and saw somewhere I would get £50 FREE to play at Cool Cat. In my naivety I thought this was brilliant; even won a (low stake) Royal Flush on their video poker and had a decent balance of something around £250 before trying to withdraw. I just remember my withdrawal pending for ages, then me contacting them and a very well-spoken rep chatting to me about the documents I needed to send in. I wasn't comfortable with the idea so reversed and busted out, which is the only thing that would've ever happened anyway
