Sick of not being asked for ID

as this is a casino compliant, i suppose it should belong in the online casino complaints forum, however as it doesn't concern just one casino, but quite a number including some reputable ones, i will post it up here for general discussion.

basically what the problem is, that i'm getting sick of withdrawing from casinos, after which i am sent a cleverly worded email that gives the impression that my withdrawal has been approved, thus i sit back and wait for the money to go into my netller account or whatever, after a period of time when there is no show for the money i will contact the casino and find out that they claim they have sent me an email for ID and i have never responded to it.

this is happening all the time and i am getting sick of it!

at first i thought maybe i have missed the email or it had not arrived somehow, but now i will say it is happening on such a regular basis, that at EVERY casino i have played at since december, that this has happened.

This is probably singlehandedly one of my biggest pet peeves going. EVERYONE seems to do it and it's a dirty trick. Also, reversing cashins back to the play account when it was their error and then waiting a whole extra week for the withdraw to be processed. These 4-7 day cashouts from major casinos is ridiculous.

This is why I have just about given up casino bonuis whoring. I try some every now and then, I tried Cherry Casino and won a few hundred and had it in 2 hours no ID, Sporting Bet and a Vegas Partner casino did the same. Also I have noticed if you grind a small win they seem to bother less.

Someone needs to come up with a list of casinos that always ask for this on small cashouts so I know where to stay away. It is just just as much as a privacy issue with me as the irritant of a 5+ day cashout.

I am sure this has crossed Largeeyes mind as well, how come poker rooms arent obsessive about ID like this? Neither are sportsbooks it seems. The only poker room ever to ask me for ID was Goldem Palace, the other 20 or so have never bothered, many of which cashed my first request out in just a few hours.

I have floated this idea over and over, Neteller (and maybe they do with the casinos) need to have some sort of category for people who either have 500+ cleared transactions or have never funded their Neteller account with their bank or credit card (only cashouts or cash). I dont guess I could charge back a Neteller transaction if I wanted too, except maybe if the casino never got it like during an upgrade a few months ago. I surely could not get away with telling Neteller weeks later "I didnt make that transaction" so why should I be hassled like this when trying to cash out $500?

IMO there is a hassle factor that I am sure makes many people reverse their cashout, we've all done it. Of course there are fraudsters, I am not disputing that. But I have a feeling these people used instacash, or credit cards, or a recent bank transfer. I cant imagine any of these walked into Bank of America with cash for their account back when this was an option, or only funded with cashouts.

Ok thats my bitch on this subject for the next 6 months. I try not to bring it out very much but this is the worst thing about playing online. At least poker rooms have not learned this annoying habit, unless they have a red flag.

This will never end unfortunatley and I know...it totally sucks! My suggestion that has worked for me recently is make and keep a copy of your ID on your computer. When you register at a casino, before even making a deposit, email it to them and then ask for confirmation that they got it, ask if they need any other info and make sure you ask if they keep it on file. KEEP the confirmation email so if they do try to pull that crap you have your quick PROOF. If you create and save a doc that has the info plus the standered letter, its quick and I have even recieved confirmation before I got all the games downloaded.

I also say "I will make my deposit upon recieving confirmation that you have recd. all required info from me in order to make withdrawls"

I think it needs to be made VERY VERY clear here, we are not peeved by the request of documents. It's the week or so going by with no receipt of a cashout and the you contact them and they say you never answered their request for ID. At first, I believed them, but more and more I think it's a ploy to hope you A) Forget your Cashout or B) Reverse it or C) They keep it in limbo just a little longer.

Casinos are so hard on this because the money whores take is straight cash homie.

Pokerrooms generally make all bonus money back up in rake before the wager requirement is completed.

Becasue of this discrepancy between the two it is important to ask for ID because it slows the whores down from making up dummy accounts. Of course some make dummy accounts of friends and parents, but at least those people really exist.

Its not just to stop bonus seekers. If it were, the industry would figure out alternate bonus schemes (larger comp bonuses, or bonuses that are paid after a certain amount of action). If bonus 'whores' were such a problem for the industry, the major software providers would agree with one another to put an end to deposit bonuses. There's no regulation at all in this industry, so any claims of collusion would be impossible to press.

There's no ID request before you give them your money, there should be no request when you ask to take it out. And its amazing how many casinos experience catastrophic software errors with their withdrawal systems, yet somehow still manage to always process those deposits.

Have you ever had a withdrawal slowed down for any reason at all by a company that didn't allow you to reverse the withdrawal request? They are hoping that you will put the money back in play.

He got a tip from a friend, bet it all down to win on a horse named Heart Attack.
Well now he ain't no fool boys, he didn't bet it all
So everything was cool when that horse took a fall
But then he turned around and blew the rest trying to win it all back...

exactly the point i'm making, although expressed a lot more concisely than i managed.

the other trick that peeves me,(although it is getting less common now as they are just going for the not sending you the email at all method now), is that they make sure that the email gets marked as junk, usually by having a no response tag in title, this also has the benefit of denying you the correct email address to send your ID to. but have you ever noticed how any promotion sent to you very rarely gets marked as junk,i.e. something to make you deposit more money.

i even had it a few times, where i have made a withdrawal, and then had a email for a follow up promotion and a email concerning my withdrawal sent at the same time, with the promotion email going to my inbox and the withdrawal email going to my junk folder.
