Hey!

I´ve a question regarding the Skrill Mastercard.

Do you have any experiences with atm withdrawals in the USA? Is it possible to withdraw at any bank without problems? And what is about the fee - is it just the Skrill fee or do US banks charge any additional fee for the use of an atm.

Reson is because iam going to Vegas soon and i would use the Skrill card if possible.

Thank you for any comments

i use one in Australia its only a few dollars fee it would depend on what currency your account is is mines in aud but my card is usd .
so if you cards in euros it converts via the exchange rate if your cards in usd and account is in usd it should just be the $2.50

not usa but the info might help

You should be able to use your Skrill Mastercard like any other Mastercard, also in the US.
It's probably more the currency fees that are expensive rather than the fees for the withdrawals at the ATM. If you have a certain VIP level (I think it's silver) you have free withdrawals at ATM's.

I would contact the support to clarify if there are any specific things to consider for the US. If you have by any chance a USD account, that would probably save you a lot of currency exchange fees.

* For transfers between USD, GBP, EUR, CAD or PLN currencies - Bronze 2.69%, Silver 2.39, Gold 2.09, Diamond 1.99% (from Skrill VIP page).

There might be cheaper options. A credit card from your bank with a good currency exchange rate. I can recommend "Consorsbank" - very low exchange rates (1%) and free withdrawals all around the world . A friend of mine recommended to use Postbank USD-account which seems to have the lowest exchange fees you can possibly get.

Sorry to bump this and sorry for being lazy (I can get away with the lazy part today surely??) However this is the most up to date Skrill related thread I found in the search option :p

Any other regular Skrill users who can reassure or back me up please,

I have just received my Rhino winnings from that video and Skrill have charged me a whopping £70GBP to convert from euro's to £££.

Of course I usually get these fees and don't mind/expect some charges but £70!!!!

I like my skrill card

I use uploads or withdraws in skrill bank transfers .. free.

Becouse i have Diamond VIP . I dont pay any withdraw charges in €. but some currengy exchance i pay, which was mentiot above.

I remember when they were Moneybookers and they had good exchange rates.
Even as a Diamond VIP you pay a 2% fee and that's more than most banks.
If you're serious about travel you'll get a card with low foreign transaction fees.

Skrill is best used for transactions in your own currency.
About the only way I use them these days.

I just been looking at fees yesterday, They used to charge a set fee like to withdraw like 1.20 or something, The last few withdraws have been ranging from 2 4 or around there,

I was looking at the card and it states there is 2 odd % rate now unsure if this is if you spend on card or a rate they use, hat I do know when receiving money they add the own rates,

Where do you do the maths? did you look at the net than compared? Let us know how much and I say if its about right, Still a con

Update

around the same time, Going out is a more or less real figure at the exchange rate time, When you recive you get less,
Exchange rate going out 1 EUR = 0.812928 GBP
Coming in 1 EUR = 0.758805 GBP

Thats like 5p in the £ so £100 about £5 and 1k around £50 OUTRAGEOUS

Does anyone deposit using skrill mastercard to get bonuses at casinos which don't allow bonuses for normal skrill deposits ? I use skrill for all my gambling as it's so much easier , quicker (for withdrawals ) and more trackable by keeping a seperate gambling bankroll in skrill .

I think the mastercard will work to receive bonuses but I am worried that if I need to do some account/payment verification where I send a photo of the card used then they will see "skrill" on the card and decide to confiscate winnings ? Anyone tried doing this and on which casinos ?

LoL I nether thought of doing that :)

I did use a paypal card years back and it was fecked up, Did not have numbers on it or didnt have it like on normal cards, This was on MrGreen way back when it first opened, I had no other I.D but they were brilliant and even rang me up, Finally got sorted albeit to another payment method,

I think casino may have things in place to stop such payments now like a skrill card,

As far as I know no it would not work as it would be picked up as pre paid card. Plus on verification of the card you could well find yourself being denied any winnings when its seen as a skrill card (if skrill not allowed for purchases ) same as with the paypal card. But dont think they work in any case. There is no way around this if they dont allow e-wallets on a bonus. Unless you get an exemption from a rep here or something along those lines. Its a crap rule for sure, especially for those who do use bonuses allot. One thing that pisses me off is when they accept the deposit with a bonus through an ewallet without telling you the bonus wont be credited yet they still take the deposit. That option should not even be available on the deposit page if the system picks up your going to be using a bonus.

Skrill is a pre-pay Mastercard/Credit card and not just all about gambling.

I would have thought that any decent and reputable casino would see it as a Credit Card deposit, even though the provider is Skrill and its the 16 digit numer and 3 digit security code which would be used to complete the transaction and not simply an email address as with a direct Skrill deposit.

That being said, I still would not take any risks and take Deeplay's advice above also

I would just not play any casino that has a rule for not giving bonus if you deposit via E-Wallt because i think it's one of the biggest bullshit rules i have ever seen. E-Wallets are the cheapeat payment methods for players and casinos and a casino punishing you for using them is not worth playing.
