So I was doing research for Mark's challenge this week and I logged into Jackpot Capital to check out the paytable for Vulcan and noticed it gone. I asked live support and this was the answer:

Alex: We do apologize, however this game is temporarily unavailable.

me: Can you tell me why?

Alex: Presently unavailable due to maintenance.[/I
]

Now I have been playing RTG for years and have never known a game to be pulled for maintenance before. So I would like to know the real reason why the game was pulled.

So is naughty and nice spring break. Went to play it and its gone too...the 2 favorite games of mine are gonna get tweaked so no one can hit the big ones on it any more....always happens to the good ones...

LoL that is a silly comment. For you information I have never hit anything proper on these slots and have played them a LOT.... Games are not available at SlotoCash/Desser Night either so something going on but removing big wins i doubt it......

found another forum a post that there might be an error on the bonusgame (something about that bonusgame is not triggering correctly)

actually player noticed there might be a fault but casino didnt admit it

seems that this could be the issue

Interesting assumption. If there was an issue with the bonusgame, how would that affect both games, one old and one new? Kinda like, a ford car brakes going out and recalling chrysler cars too (only thing in common is that they are cars, just like these games only have being games in common). I do not buy it.

Makes no sense to take both games down if one has an issue unless it is to tweak the payouts on both. That makes much more sense. Mine is an assumption too, but it fits the actions of removing BOTH games unrelated, better, than fixing bonus rounds errors on a game that has been on line for many months and one just offered.

I really would like why they put the game out of commission for a while. I may be wrong but I think Vulcan has been gone for more than a week. I used to play RTG slots weekly up to a couple of years ago and I never saw a game being pulled for maintenance. I am making the assumption that there is something wrong with the games that they pulled and if that is the case its shoddy work on RTG's part for not testing the games properly before going live. I could be wrong and it could be just for maintenance (although why would the newer games need maintenance?)

If you recall there has been some issues after they release new games they end up getting pulled for maintenance/issues.

Remember dream run got pulled after it's release and lets not even go into the orc vs elf issue.

Maybe they should do better due diligence in testing these games before they release them so they don't have any issues. Did they fix the issues with Orc V Elf?

Maintenance?

That's funny, what are they doing, putting more coal in the furnace in the reel strips on Vulcan and giving the girls from Spring Break a little time to recover from all the partying?

These games are not like cars that need to go into the garage for repairs once in while. If they need to update them it's just a matter of uploading the updated version into their software package. Seems much more likely they were paying too many big wins and they pulled them until RTG can give them a new version.

When these games come back it will very interesting indeed to hear what regular players think of how they play.

I know the orc vs elf game has been pulled several times and it just came back again sooooooooooooo that being said who wants to try it and let us know :D:D:D:D:D

I have been playing Orc again at Jackpot Capital and it seems to work correctly. I like that you can vary your bet and it is no longer locked at a flat $1 per spin. But I am watching and grabbing screen shots on big wins to see that it does keep working.

I seem to do the best with the Elf....

FWIW,

Vulcan throwing too much 500x multiplier free spin retriggers? :D
Well I never got a retrigger at all on that thing.
But I play RTG only like 20-50 quid a month just for fun.
Never managed a payout yet although last month I was up €150.00 after a nice win on PayDirt.
But played it all away on Henhouse.. Kluk Kluk.. :p

I.... if one has an issue unless it is to tweak the payouts on both.

Unless things have changed recently, RTG Real Series slots at any given casino all have the same RTP in one of 3 bands (I think: 91.5%, 95% or 97.5% going on memory). So if they are tweaking the payouts of one game at all casinos, they will be tweaking them all - at every casino - so expect every game to disappear for a bit if that is the case. Which it probably isn't :D

Have you looked. Both games ARE missing from all casinos....so...your statement seems to be on the mark about them diappearing from all casino for adjustments (maintenace , their words) and off the mark about

Not both games Sil - ALL the Real Series games at any given casino have the same RTP as the others at that casino afaik. It is a single setting. If they have to remove 2 to adjust the RTP, they would have to remove them all to do the same but actually, because it is (used to be) a single setting they probably wouldn't have to remove any game to change it to be honest. If Crystal Waters, Goldbeard, Cleopatra's Gold etc, etc, etc all get taken down at some point then yes, you may be on to something.

It is possible of course that these two games are different, that they have different RTP's but that would fly in the face of what we know about RTG's Real Series slots. Possible. Just unlikely IMO.

Still it's rather odd that the games were pulled. I have been thinking both of these games have the same type of feature guarantee: you get the feature anywhere from 25 spins to 250 (also triggered randomly). Unlike the other feature guarantee slots there is no countdown telling you how many spins left until you get the message 25 spins to go. Could it be that part of the game is not working as intended? It's a guess and I could be way off the mark.

My guess is that they screwed up in the same way they did with Orc VS Elf. The feature is played with the average bet since previous reset. This means that IF you hit that "feature within 25 spins" really early in the session you can raise your bet and gain an advantage. I don't know if this worked, but according to the paytable it should work. Am I right?

From the information I have (the original marketing spec sheets) this is definitely NOT the case.
Not all of the slots had the lower 91% as an option, while others didn't have the higher 97.5% choice.
Also, the "middle setting" was 94% on some slots, but 95% on others.
This points to them being able to adjust each game individually.

I don't know. They have other feature guarantee slots that haven't had any problems AFAIK. I have only played these games on a fixed bet (and got slayed each time BTW). Sometimes complicated slots are not the way to go.
