    Rushmore Group - getting desperate??

    Hey Gang

The past few weeks I have been receiving the following email from all 3 Rushmore Group Casinos:

    Dear XXXXX

You have been chosen yet again for our promotion for the next 24 hours. We are offering 300% match up to $2000 on your next deposit within the next 24 hours. I have added the bonus into your account and is awaiting a deposit. The same terms and conditions apply to this bonus: Roulette, Craps, Baccarat, Bingo and Pai- Gow Poker are excluded games on all bonuses we offer. If you have any questions on the matter or about the casino then please do not hesitate to be intouch.

    Kind regards
    Martina

Now I have to tell you that these kind of promo emails really p*ss me off!!

Another thing is that the subject was "[ #FLU-26415-104]: bonus " making it look like a reply to a support case which Im sure was a deliberate ploy to make me open it....and they can't even spell 'Customer'.!! lol

IMO it is a desperate attempt to attract deposits and it certainly supports Bryans' decision to remove them from the Accred list.

I think online gaming as we know it can't sustain itself in the present economy. I'll bet by this time next year there are maybe 1 or 2, if any accredited RTG casinos left. They've run off too many customers at a time when they can least afford it. BTW, I completely missed Bryan removing them from the list. I thought he did, then they were put back once affiliate payment issues were resolved. When did he take them off again?

He removed them about a month or so ago Takethemoney. It was due to their botched fraud investigation that took place about a year and a half ago. Very long story. You can read the synopsis in this thread:

    http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/...hioned-16.html

The recent posts re: Rushmore start at #154, but throughout the thread the actual investigation itself was detailed, via the PAB system and Max. However, as it turns out there was at least one innocent player caught in the net, who was finally paid a month ago...after a VERY long battle, and alot of people involved. A big part of the problem was Rushmore's complete unwillingness to disclose or communicate with anyone the details surrounding this case.

There is also a thread in the same forum titled Rushmore Removed from Accredited List, started by Bryan, with his thoughts there.

Which brings me to Nifty's post. IMO (and this is speculation), part of the reason that Rushmore ended up immersed in that whole fraud investigation, is the fact that they offered ridiculous BJ bonuses (up to 400% I believe), and of course they probably got slammed by every advantage player on the net. When you offer bonuses like that, of course you are going to have some massive winners, and also some fraudulent players, looking to take advantage more than once.

I think the amount of winners they had was probably overwhelming, and if they are going down the same route again, I predict similar problems ie players being investigated, accusations of multiple accounts, genuine fraud, groups of players playing and posting about the bonus on the bonus whoring forums, etc. Could be more headaches in store. Will be interesting to see if any new complaints pop up in the next couple of weeks or so. I hope I'm wrong.

I was just in the mood to stress the CS....this group is going straight down in the "no wants to play there" pit.

Before I deposited - I asked the CS about the withdrawal time. After that information - I got an "take it or leave it" answer. Sure, she meant it funny, but that joke was brought on the table at the wrong time.

And then at the end - why do they need my PASSWORD information for a "delete my account" ?? By the way, I feel a bit "uaaagh" when my information is visible for the techis there!!!!

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Hollie'
Hollie: Hi and welcome. How can I help you?
    El_quapo: Ho Hollie
El_quapo: What is the standard payout time?
    El_quapo: ops...I meant HI
Hollie: what do you mean? The withdraw period?
    El_quapo: yes
    Hollie: =)
Hollie: it takes 2-3 business days to approve the withdraw
    El_quapo: 2.3 business days???
Hollie: and then it can take about another 4-5 business days for the monyey to arrive into your moneybookers account
Hollie: business means not including the weekends
El_quapo: you mean after "you" clicked on pay - it takes 4-5 days until it is visible in my moneybooker account?
    El_quapo: hello?
Hollie: when you request the withdraw it can take 2-3 business days to approve
El_quapo: ok, it takes 2-3 for your financial dep to approve it
    El_quapo: got that
    El_quapo: and then....??
Hollie: once it is approved it can take another 4-5 business days for the money to arrive into your monaybookers account
    Hollie: yeah
El_quapo: aha but when it is approved why does it takes 4-5 days to arrive in my account?
Hollie: its just how long the process can take for the money to be put from our processor to the moneybookers
El_quapo: ok - it takes max 8 business days to get my money. if i withdrawal on monday, the i will get my money wednesday the next week
    Hollie: give or take =)
El_quapo: under this cirumstances - please DELETE all of my data and CLOSE with immediate affect my accounts ÃĪt the whole rushmore group. and that "give or take" is neither funny nor something else. i will post this chat in the casinomeisterforum. that should be a warning for everyone
Hollie: i only wrote that cause it can take less time as well
Hollie: some people get their money within 2 days after the withdraw request has been approved
Hollie: i didnt mean to upset you in any way
Hollie: im sorry if it came out that way
Hollie: i can assure you you will receive your deposit
El_quapo: please close my accounts - that is all i want
Hollie: To close your account, you will need to send an email to support@cherryredcasino.com. Please include your casino login name and the first and last letter/number of your casino password , and we'll close your account as soon as possible.
El_quapo: you can see my password in clearletters?
Hollie: no i dont have access to your password
El_quapo: and why do you need the letters?
Hollie: a player needs to personally email in to say that they want to close their account
Hollie: then it will be done for you if that is what you widh
    El_quapo: what about the password?
    Hollie: what about that password?
El_quapo: ...casino login name and the first and last letter/number of your casino password , and we'll clos
Hollie: yes if you can email that information to that email address then we will be able to close your account
Hollie: send an email to support@cherryredcasino.com. Please include your casino login name and the first and last letter/number of your casino password , and we'll close your account as soon as possible.
El_quapo: I asked you why do you need my password-information???
    El_quapo: and further more
El_quapo: is my password stored NOT encrypted?
Hollie: we need to know that it is the player that is requesting for their account to be closed and so thats why that information is asked, its information that only you know
Hollie: so we can know that you are the one requesting the account to be closed
El_quapo: that makes sense, BUT only if YOU can prove it.
El_quapo: IF you can prove it - why the heck is my password in clearletters and not encrypted?
El_quapo: that is absolute no security standard
El_quapo: Hollie- I know that you aren`t making the rules
El_quapo: but this chat, respectively this conversation is opening some eyes to the once "accredited" casino group and personal a big disappointment

I think you just misunderstood the phrase 'give or take', as far as I understand it means that withdrawals can take a few days more or less than what was stated, nothing at all like how you interpreted it.

It's also not realistic to expect any casino to delete your data, if they did that would be open to abuse from advantage players claiming the signup bonus over and over.

The password thing is a bit worrying but I guess in theory they could have some application that just confirms the first and last letter of the password just like it confirms your password when you login yourself?

aha...ok maybe it was just my bad english. But thanks for the correction.
Sure, they won`t delete my data, but it was worth a try.

About the password. IF there is a tool to confirm the first and last letter - why not the whole passphrase? I expected a I cannot see your password - I set a new one. Or something like that.

Nevertheless, up to 8 business days for a payment....Oh my...where are the times when you wrote Louise for an instant withdrawal????

I'm surprised she didn't disconnect you for calling her a "ho."

I have added the bonus into your account and is awaiting a deposit.

The real question here is: Can this "bonus" be removed at all? When in the world did they start claiming bonus coupons on your behalf? I have never seen such a thing at any casino, even a rogue. The only time you'll see such an automatic bonus is with some SUB's.

What if you had never gotten that email for whatever reason, made a deposit without claiming anything yourself, and started playing?

    This is very roguish, imo.

While reading that email, I was expecting to see a "Deposit NOW, or else!!!!11" statement at the end.
Operators: If you don't know what Transparency means, then here you go.....now how about practicing it?

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

Yeah this group stinks. I was put off and put off and put off constantly JUST to get my docs approved. Miraculously as soon as I busted out voila! Approval granted!! Like I am talking a couple of hours here, when a couple of hours earlier chat was saying it was going to be another 2 or 3 days.
And the strange thing is when I logged onto the casino that night it was ridiculously laggy and damned near unplayable. My only explanation is that they put me on a different server after I told them if I ever get my withdrawal I would never play there again because of the run around.
Have you got another plot of land I can buy? This one doesn't have near enough fertilizer.
