Hi, i have a problem with all Rival softwares. This is Vegas, Da Vinci's, Simon Says, etc. I don't know if it's because i have Windows Vista, but when it's in my PC when tries to open it's says in Spanish "casinoexe dej de funcionar" (casino exe stopped working) and it's closed. Anybody has the same problem? if so, what have you done?.

Regards and good luck!.

Vista? Have you tried running it as Administrator?

I've tried it many times

Have you tried running it as Administrator?[/QUOTE]

Thanks for your answer but i,ve tried deleting temp. files, deleting cookies, run it as Administrator...but it does not even open.
Maybe it's because i work now with Google Chrome, i think that when i used Internet Explorer is when i played, but i can't see its relation.
Regards.

Rival software does not like the casino downloader that is installed on your computer by the other casinos.

Go to the start button, then to (programs or) program files, then to casino downloader, rename this file to casino downloader1 and then try it. This fixed my issue I had immediatley, (it might be named casino turbo downloader, but it is the casino downloader which will block Rivals software downloading).

Mine works great now and doing this has not affected any other casinos, just to make you more comfortable with this.

Try it, you can't lose anything doing it and it probably work.

If you go to livechat they should be able to help. I could try to help myself but if I can't figure it out I'm going back to tech support and livechat who see issues like this often enough to be able to help trouble shoot in real time. Just visit support or service on any of the pages you have Rival casinos and click on the livechat link. Wait times tend to be less than a minute and the agent should be able to walk you through it step by step.

Hi silcnlayc, i go to start button, program files and can't find casino downloader, so, i go to "ThisisVegas" files and the file named downloader.dll change it to casino downloader1, but...no luck, nothing, if i'm done something wrong please tell me but i tell you again i haven't found the route you told me "casino downloader" in program files. I use Vista.

Thank you in all the ways.

Hi Thisisvegas

Thanks, but i asked it at live chat and told me to delete temp. files, etc. and i can't remember what else but i think i did all i was told to do (copy-paste).

Regards.

Vista is about as useful as Bob...Bob btw was the dev name of the failed Microsoft OS brought out in 95.

If you can go back to using XP Pro and all will be fine :D

Cheers

Apologies, confabulador, it is "right click " on the start button, go to explore (not explorer) then you will find these items...do not change anything in the "casino file".

I just did a search and found mine again..here are the screenshots..

Easier way is to go to start-search-files and folders-all files and folders, and type in download...the turbo downloader will pop up..this is the one that needs to be changed..see screenshot of highlighted file..the file no longer appears but the icon does once it is changed..and this worked on first try..see the #1 on the end of the icon file?

Thank you for your time silcnlayc...

but unfortunately my computer can't find any "downloader, download, turbodownloader" serching in all the files. In addition since yesterday sometimes happen to me too ("casinoexe dej de funcionar" "casinoexe stopped working") when i click to download the software from its page "ThisisVegas". Automatically when clicking. And when i get to download it, after clicking "finish" (the download).
It only happens to me with Rival, the rest work perfectly so...I'll give up.

Thank you very much.:o

At last i've got it!

:thumbsup:Thanks to all of you. I' ve been searching and searching...and Eureka!, it was DEP (Data Execution Prevention), a security measure of Vista that was activated to prevent virus and so on. I had to disable it for all the programs and change it to the essential programs of Windows.
If happened someone the same working with Vista this is probably the solution.

Regards.

P.D. All this was for playing at ThisisVegas and when i get it i lose my money in 30 minutes.

In the last weeks, 3 Rival casinos (maybe more) (Pantasia, Paradise8, Mayhan Fortune) wasn't able to install itself (freeze at the first screen after install).

If one had the casino already installed, no problem. 3 of my friends have tried it, and it was always the same.

After I emailed Pantasia and Paradise8, they released a fixed version, but the 3rd, Mayan Fortune (which I didn't emailed), is still not able to install..

Strange thing, but I heard from others, that there're often issues with Rival, regarding Windows Vista or other things.

Sometimes it helps to start the casino in compatibility mode (WIN 98 compatible!!)

security measure of Vista
Sorry confabulador, didn't know you had vista, I guess I failed to read that..I am still on the xp operating system..and I know that this file does stop Rival from downloading correctly for xp users such as me until I renamed it..
(Data Execution Prevention),
This does create a lot of headaches in BOTH vista and xp...
