    excluding myself from ALL casinos

    Hi all,

Well it seems that its the end of online gaming for me, after a good few years ive realised that i am not only wasting my money but also a terrible amount of time.

Im not saying I have a problem because I play within my means but im just losing interest and would like to exlude myself from all online play if possible. Already in the last two days ive closed my 3dice and TIV accounts after some simply shocking streaks that just highlighted how much im wasting both in terms of money and time haha. I have other things I could be doing to occupy myself.

So does anyone know a way I can allow myself to not be signing up to any more casinos (sounds like i have a problem lol) in order to keep my sanity? the losses I can deal with but the pure lack of enjoyment is now starting to annoy me

    Ta as always
    Advice appreciated boys and girls

At first sight this statement may seem self-defeating. Other threads liken this to going to a pub when trying to stop drinking. I disagree with the latter statement.

Being over 7 years removed from the 'better living through chemicals' lifestyle, I offer my experience with quitting if asked to do so. It would be inspirational IMO for someone who has successfully quit gambling and is living a relatively happy life to come here and post about their experience.

cheers for the reply guys, that gamblock software sounds very good. my only concern is that it sounds like it blocks EVERYTHING to do with online gaming, so would that include this site?

will look into it, as i say often i play online because i am bored and there is little else to do at times but ive started playing golf again which is good health wise and social wise working 6 days a week also means that i come home knackered and what better to do than have a few spins, so instead ive resigned up to the gym

hopefully this gamblock thingy wont stop me coming on here and seeing how everyone is doing as id like to keep in touch when i can.

    best of luck all

To continue the "pub" analogy - we're not all "drinking" in here

I feel it's important to know how people are doing with tackling any demons they may have. It is also crucial that the casinos respect players' wishes to exclude themselves; this we need to know as well.

I believe Gamblock blocks everything with casino/poker/gambling content to include this site

Gamblock blocks all, sometimes thats what it takes. Good luck and I wish you the best, its a tough road, better to banish yourself otherwise you will get lots of "where have you been" and here's a nice gift, my favorite is "we miss you", more like we miss your hard earned money.

Gamblock will even block some unrelated sites....... be careful with it as it's not perfect at distinguishing gambling only sites from innocent ones in some cases! Google it and read some of the stories from users who wished they'd never installed it.

Ok here I am! I joined a theraphy site back in May of 2007. I have been gamble free from live Casinos for 14 months, Online for..when did all the USA crap start?..since then. It was hard in the beginning to quit online. Funny, coming here and reading helped. I quit online BEFORE I went to the theraphy site, very soon after the USA thing and my state decided to make gambling online illegal. Unfortunantly, I transferred my addiction to live Casinos, that is the one I feel I am recovering from now. I dont miss playing online at all, the urges are not there.
I enjoying reading this site because I love the back and forth banter and like keeping up on the industry. lol, it keeps me AWAY from gambling online lol! I now work two jobs, one is a brand new career, obtained by volunteering at the facility, then being hired on. Back in the office again. This is what I did with my free time after gambling. It can be done, there is a great big world out there. If you feel its time to stop, listen to your inner voice. You wont regret it. I do recommend that you find a theraphy website that you can post on a forum to others if you enjoy that because if you use gamblock, you will lose this site, it will block. I recommend highly having a place to blow off steam! In the meantime self exclude from your regular sites and cancel all your deposit methods, neteller, moneybookers etc. Ive heard others say if all else fails, start a few charge backs..it will ruin your online career!

    Best wishes!
