Ever felt like committing suicide?..

Of course, winning streaks make one feel good, and vise-versa. Losing can be unpleasant, can hurt, can cause frustration, heartache and anger. But did it ever take you farther than this? Did you feel like the only way to stop this pain is getting out of the game, althogether?... That's how I feel at the moment. Hope it is not terminal...

It is not technically speaking a poll, so just post away any thoughts on the subject.

if gambling is making you feel that bad you should really think about quiting or if you cant at least get some help, gambling anon? the samaritans?
as the CM has posted on his site gambling is meant to be fun, we all get the rush from gambling the highs/ lows but if it ever got to the point that i thought about commiting suicide i would seriously consider getting help,

Either last year or the year before (doesn't matter which) a player lamented on a Forum similar to this about going on a gaming 'tilt'. His suicide was subsequently reported a couple of months later.

To what degree the 'tilt' contributed to his demise only his family and close confidants would know.

There are many problem gamblers on this forum. But this is not the place to seek solace or remedial action for gambling problems.

IMHO you have two choices ONLY. Stop gambling or stop losing.

Your worth to your family, to society, and indeed, to the friend in desperate need of your help, whom you haven't met yet, is much much more precious than the roll of the next dice.

You need to stop gambling now. As soon as you place material objects over your livelihood, it's time to get professional assistance. I'll send you some links - there are also some tips listed here to get started as well.

I've only been angry gambling once, lost $150 on Rival without a bonus over 10x.

I`d suggest seeing a therapist but they'd take your money faster than Rival (I KNOW - FAST!!). You need to quit gambling buddy, because if it means that you suffer such severe repercussions it's not worth it!!

It's important to be ready to lose your money if you gamble. And if you knew it and lost you money you think "whatever, it's just a game...I was ready to lose it". It will save your good mood. It's just a money.
The second important thing is how much you are going to spend on gambling. Don't spend more than you can. Allocate acceptable for you amount of money (on daily/weekly/monthly basis) which you can spend on gambling without having problems (to pay bills, clothes, food etc etc etc). And do not spend more than this. If you lost it - just quit the game, leave the house, go for a walk, call your friends, organize romantic date with your girlfriend, whatever you want! But don't lapse into a cocoon of self-isolation!!! And forget about money you have lost, because you was ready to lose and you lost it. Job is done!

Good luck and have fun!

Please seek help NOW. I beg of you... Today. Instantly. Thoughts of suicide are not part of the game. This is to be taken seriously. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but of strength. It is time to take back your life.
