Major online gambling group to use Crypto games in three year deal

Two giants in the online gambling world, the Gibraltar-based betting group 888.com and Dublin-based online games developer Cryptologic have signed a three year licensing deal which will see 888 selecting and integrating casino games from CryptoLogic.

888 owns and operates various websites, including www.888.com, www.Casino-on-Net.com, www.pacificpoker.com, www.888ladies.com and www.888sport.com.

888 won't change software. It will integrate NexGen, CTXM, Cryptologic games into its own platform.

That's the strategic plan, alright - repeatedly stated by the CEO, Gigi Levi.

That's an interesting approach - blurring the lines between the different software providers. Should we expect to see more casinos adopting this approach of integrating games from more than one provider?

I think we might - Wagerworks and Orbis are both offering cross platform capability, and as we've seen Crypto as one of the industry leaders is receptive to the concept, as is Boss Media according to their publicity at the last ICE show. There are probably others that I can't bring to mind at present...

And here's another new development involving 888.com - just released:

888 and Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS) have partnered to offer a new gaming integration solution which has been built around the GTS EdGE gaming platform, and 888’s Integration Platform, and is designed to accelerate the time it takes to market new games across multiple territories.

Electracade's inventory of over 100 games will be made available to 888.com, covering sports betting, casino and “soft instant gaming”, such as scratch-cards and bingo - all available in 23 languages.
