What is the most annoying/frustrating slot you have ever played and why?

Moonshine because you can win nothing on the feature and often do.
Harvey because the champagne bottles go absent without leave.
Hitman because when you win on the free spins the animations take a week and you won 10p
Pollen nation because you just know you're gonna hit that STOP first choice
Cash N curry because its crap
Chain Mail because you know the princess is at the end but doh! missed again
Dolphin tale because it has minus 25% payout
Ladies night because you know those free spins are due any week now
Pharaos tomb because you only ever hit 2 of a kind max
Witches Wealth because you are sick to death of those cats taking the P***!

In my early online days there were a lot of slots at english harbor (sorry: i really played there), which i could only bear with beer.
Nowadays its those machines, which dont bring a real profit, even if you hit big.
i stopped playing Mega Moolah (boaring free spins without profit).
I stopped playing these feature only slots (life s a beach, discovery channel or howsoever and witches wealth - whose wealth? not mine!)

I have been tearing moonshine up lately so I can't say a word bad about it right now. Next week I may change my tune though.

Dolphin Tale drives me nuts, how can you have so many lines but none hit, not even for a small return. Some crazy math wiz had to sit down and design that slot, reels and paylines because it should hit, it has to hit but never does for me lol :-).

Hard to answer that one! It changes so often. I'd have to say any slot with pick em bonus rounds that determine the amount and multiplier of free spins. Nothing makes you madder than getting 2 spins at 1x multiplier. (Jungle Jim)

B4 voting could you clarify if the above is like FIGHTIN FOR PEACE:machinegu AND/OR SCREWING FOR VIRGINITY?:xxx:what:............Thanx,NV....Like the poll ?.

Hmmm I may have found a new candidate although this probably should be in screenshots that suck.
Hint: The footballs are wild and the symbol dead centre is a non paying bonus symbol
Old Attachment (Invalid)
I got a whole 10 coins back for that, sniffle

Excellent idea for a poll Rusty!

Gotta agree with this - some of the pick'em slots drive me up the wall!
Although I have to say personally I'm fairly happy with the likes of MoonShine, DynoMight, Age of Discovery, Chain Mail & Magic Spell.

So my vote went to Pollen Nation.
(Although, if it had been in the list I would have voted for GiftCrap)
If we could have 2nd & 3rd it would be:
Pharaohs Tomb - So dull I nearly cut my wrists.
Hitman - So slow I need a shave between features hitting.

Cash N curry is not really a 'slot' - it just looks like one.
I agree it is incredibly annoying, but it can go bananas & pay out mega-bucks!

Of the others listed, Harvey 's, Dolphin Tale, Ladies Night & Witches Wealth are among my favorites!

Witches Wealth....if you do hit the bonus round, it takes forever for it to be finished...it bothers me :p
Dunno how long it is since you played it, but they actually sped this up on the last upgrade, or one before...

Aw Dolphin tale isnt as bad as some of you guys are making out. yeah sometimes it can be tight, but to be honest which slot isnt tight at certain times? Sure the rewards are lower than on most slots, but get the bonus, pick 5 spins, win a x20 and then hit lots of free pop up wilds on the spins and your laughing :D I win quite often on this slot and is probably one of my favourites. That and prime property. There are only a few games where i seem to hit big wins on regularly. Those 2 above, santa paws and avalon lol

Simply click on one of the wheels during the bonus feature, it will speed up.
We've had this discussion before - I think it was Simmo who said the same thing.
However, this simply does not work during autoplay (at least, for me it doesn't )

I thought about extending the poll and throwing in some slots for other software but decided to try and use different examples of the most popular software in the end.

I thought it would make a fun change from voting for your favourite something.

Perhaps someone would like to do an RTG or some other sometime.

I enjoy playing some of these slots from time to time myself such as ladies night and I'm not surprised to see it escape critisism.

Surprised Hitman as a new slot has bugged so many people so quickly :o

Monnshine to win!

ps
I thought I made it multiple choice, have I messed up again?

So funny. Had me just nodding my head and cracking up through them all. Those men on Ladies Night get called all kinds of names. Sometimes I'm nice sometimes not so nice depending on how badly I need them to show up and how long it's been since I've seen them. They keep me coming back those bad bad boys. The ones where you do the picking and choosing I really like. Max spins at 1x bugs me more than gettting Min spins at 1x. I really like looking for the princess, picking oil rigs and Reel Strike boats ect.. The very very few times I got to pick a suspect in Dolphin tale was ok but until there's a raise in the crime rate can't afford to play it. Thought it was just my bad luck with that one but I guess not.Getting to chose is the fun part except for take the money or the egg with that dumb goose in the middle. What fun is picking if I don't find out what was behind door number two. Overall MG slots can 't complain. I will admit I have prayed that Daredevil Dave at English Harbor would crash into the wall jump number one. Having him jump all four is torture.

When your in the bonus with Hitman can't you just click on the screen and skip all the drama. I'm pretty sure I did.

No. I think it's better to have only one choice, then people have to really think about it rather than just going down the list clicking with gay abandon!
(Are you still allowed to say that these days? :p)

I guess I'm a minority - I LIKE Hitman! Of course it's because when it first came out I won quite a bit on it. First time I played I got the contract bonus twice during free spins - had no idea what I was doing and just kept picking the guy on the right. Luckily it paid me the high end of the range, so I did pretty well. Now that I know what I'm doing, I'm not doing so good...but I have fond memories at least.

The one that really p*sses me off is Pollen Nation - you can't win diddly until you get to the bonus, but every bloody time I get the bonus I pick STOP either the first or second pick. I can't pick the right hat in Bars and Stripes usually either. Or in DinoMight...or Age of Discovery...etc...Just give me a whole pile of free spins with a big fat multiplier (like Isis or Supe it Up) and don't make me choose anything and I do ok!

But I voted Hitman......it stinks, it biffs, it blows, it reeks....

Hitman can be a wind up, but I'd differ from Zoozie here and suggest it's a high variance slot. I've won 600x 3 or 4 times on this one but it's a patient wait required.

Regards the click-to-skip, it only works in manual mode and in the free spins, not in autoplay...yet.

I haven't voted in this poll as there are several that appear so boring, I have never played them (Chain Mail, Pollen Nation, Witches Wealth, Pharoah's Tomb) and a couple I have only dabbled with (Cash N Curry, Dolphin Tale) :D

I would add ThunderStinky to this list.

No chance! Easily the best of all slots IMO :)

Can I change my vote?
After reading this thread I realised I hadn't played with Dolphins for ages, so gave it a shot:
After 70 spins I got the scatters & chose 10 spins...
But it gave me the lowest multiplier of x5 & my 'reward'? Bet x9.66 :eek2:

So I carried on, low-rolling for ages before gradually upping the stakes until finally after another 231 spins it conceded another feature. By this time I was WAY down & betting HUGE by my standards (5c/line) so I decided to plum for 20 spins for maximum return...
It gave me fricking x2 multiplier and returned bet x 21.
If only it had given me x7 I would have got all my losses back, instead it left a huge hole in my bankroll.

I think this is the first time ever I have been given the lowest multiplier twice in a row :axeman:

The one with the cats, where you have to make "S P E L L" across all five reels... How fricking annoying is THAT!!???!? When the letters are not just taking up space, they're awarding a less than great feature... and HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU GET THE FIRST FOUR BUT NOT THE FIFTH!!!

I've had to ban myself from playing it after dropping 500 into Royal Vegas thinking the deadly "it's got to do something pretty soon..."

That's Magic Spell - and you actually have to spell "M A G I C" :p

It's a high variance slot - getting the 'pick a book' feature can take ages, but it's usually worth it as it often pays bet x 75+ ;)

KK

I chose Pollen Nation -- and include all its kin -- Gift Rap, and whatever that one is with the ships and such, and any of those where I have to 'pick' my win. I've only played Hitman in Free mode, but couldn't 'pick' anything of import in its bonus feature either (3 spins w/2x !). pfffftttt....

Shit - yes. How weird that I sat playing the thing for ages and forgot the word across - I think that's my brain trying to erase it from memory :D

You get some reasonably hits when the multiplier symbol hits too, but it's just so few and far between - with no potential for the (Ladies Nite/Spring Break style) SUPER hits!

In my opinion, I think that dolphin tale is one of MG`s better slots. Its truly different from all the others in one key area. The random pop up wilds during free spins! I agree dolphin tale can be a hit and miss, smetimes it takes ages and ages to get them out, sometimes i cant get them out at all, but its still one of my favourite games because when they do come out, they usually come out in floods.

I was playing dolphin tale yesterday and I had the bonus come out 9 times on the row, ended up doing pretty well off it though nothing spectacular this time. But the fun part is watching and hoping for those free pop up wilds that appear, thats what adds the excitement hoping for them. To me anyway. Its still a unique slot, at least i dont know of any other Mg slots that give free pop up wilds during free spins.

It is an expensive slot, made much more so because of 45 playing lines. To me playing on all these lines the `law of diminishing returns applies`. 45 lines doesnt seem to yield an increase in rewards equal to what it costs to play when compared with only 25 lines selected and the cost of playing that. 25 Lines does me fine and ive had some mighty wins of Dolphine tale since it came out. Hope this helps

Slotster, do you not get the impression that Royal vegas appears to focus too much on tournaments and prize money as opposed to just allowing players to win? I havent been a member there long but its far from myfavourite casino after having deposited several times and come away with next to nothing, their games seem a little tight to me, almost as if their % ratio is lowering than at other mg casinos. My guess is that they cater for tournament players more, which is fair enough if thats the case, but i havent been a member long and might just have joined during a bad run. Whats your opinion?

Well, I joined up with the tournaments in mind - despite not actually entering one yet; You ask the question at a very ironic time though! I literally yesterday asked for my logs from another MG, as I've been experimenting with my usual (old) style of play - versus a more low roller (new) style.

I'll post up some more details when I've thought about it a bit more - but to answer your question today - I'm doing ok by betting reasonably high on the old favourites at Royal Vegas (4.50/9.00 range). Return is exactly what I'd expect really... Now as for the low rolling.... :what:

AND ITS A TIE!

Well the votes have been cast and the results are in.

Unfortunately it is a unsatisfactory tie between Hitman and cash N curry.

I guess since they are different types of slots they can both be best of category winners :D

Many thanks to all who took part, now go get 'em!

Now do a RTG REal Series one. I could vote on that (Crystal Waters - hmm or a tie with Aladdin.) :D

:lolup::lolup:
Aladin:
I remember playing that about a Year ago and it taking me about 800 spins to hit the feature and about the same to work out I needed 3 scatters first 3 reels or last 3 reels :o
I do'nt usualy check paytables straight away to add to the fun/mystery so when I kept hittin 3 scatters and nothing wa happening I was like Doh!
Then about a Week ago I palyed RTG in fun mode for the first time and on Aladin hit the random Jackpot of about $6000 in a few spins at 90c :eek2:
I posted a screenshot somewhere but that is the sort of thing that just convinces me these things are not as random as they are made out to be.
