I'm going to say something that may not be popular with anyone here, especially with Bryan and/or Simmo.

Can see your point Pina. It's good to have a forum where people can post alternative opinions...it's when it gets personal and you get the obvious "digs" that it kind of makes you *sigh*. At least on this forum debate tends to outweigh argument in the main. Try looking elsewhere!

It goes back to that old argument we had some time back - the glass half-full/half-empty approach. You and I are half-full types so it's natural that the half-empty posts sometimes grate a bit, and I'm sure the converse is true also. But you're lucky - you can use the "Ignore Poster" links - as a Mod, I can't *sniff*. LOL.

I think I'm getting soft in my old age, lol. I used to MUCH more antagonistic and confrontational. Now I just want peace, and a little bit of civility, if that's possible. Did I just say that?

Well, I've been thinking about this over the past several days, and I'm going to reset the permissions as they were.

If I'm concerned about fraudsters making one-post commando raids, then they'll just be outed. If newbies don't follow the rules and guidelines posting their complaints, they'll be given on-the-spot corrections by either me or some of the other members who share my concerns.

I shouldn't have to explain how to post a tactful complaint to ensure its effectiveness. I expect members new and old to read and follow their intuition and common sense. I should not have to implement babysitting tactics in order to keep the machine running smoothly.

The bottom line is: you sleep in the bed you make. Simple as that.
