Can online casinos, since they appear to be very computerized, set slot machines to pay liberal or pay stingy? Bare with me and consider that I am a novice with trust issues. I played a reputable casino this last weekend. I put my big $25.00 down and was given $100.00 to play with on top of my $25.00 in real money. 30x's play through. O.K., I did have a ball playing for about 7 or 8 hours the first day I deposited. I only play slots and I like 2 or 3 in particular. I got "lucky" on my first several bets and won $800.00. I played and played winning $600.00, $400.00, numerous $100.00 spins, etc. O.K., I played out the 30x's to use up the bonus money and ended up with over $1,200.00 real cash. I should have taken the money and ran. But did I do that? NO! I ended my play session and the next day I started again. However, when I tried to play again, I got prompts that there was a problem with loading the games and I was supposed to contact the support desk. No live support. Nothing would load. I called the toll free number and the operator..who laughed alot...for no apparent reason I could figure out (I guess she had a problem with compulsive giggling)...told me to "close all other programs running on the PC", (there weren't any) and make sure my firewall wasn't blocking their site (It wasn't...wasn't blocking the night before...wasn't blocking then.). And she said to make sure that "ports 1902 to 2002 were open". (Huh?) Anyway, she said if all those suggestions didn't work I should call back and they would try something different. She didn't sound like "Tech Support" to me... When I signed back into the casino all the games were working and loading just fine. However, I couldn't WIN for loosing! I kid you not. The majority of my winnings were gone in no time at all. Granted, I should have cashed out and ran the night before. I did gamble away everything but $50.00 the next day. Finally, I took the fifty (back into Neteller) and decided that if I tried to spin with this last $50.00...it would be gone as quickly as the rest was. Now, my question is: Is it possible for online casinos to RESET the games so that they don't pay anymore...or pay very stingy? I was wondering that if I won so much on an initial tiny $25.00 first time deposit that maybe the casino decided to reset MY machines in order to claim back as much of their cash money as they could? Or, do the machines pay off big right at first and then take it back later? I know the casinos have the advantage but it just seemed real wierd that the night before I got so many bonus wins and the next day I couldn't get even one. I like the Spectacular Wheel of Wealth and usually I get a bonus spin every so many spins. The day I kept loosing...I got only 2 spins on the bonus wheel per 500 $2.00 spins...and I got a $20.00 "bonus" each time. Also, for all the times I've ever played this slot at any casino, I have never hit the 777. O.K. fellow experienced gamblers, tell me....am I just plain nuts? Can a casino control the payout you get from their download machines? Thanks for listening. I was playing on a Microgaming casino. The "PlayBet" log on this looks real interesting....win, win, win one day... and loose, loose, loose (a whole lot faster) the next.

Welcome to Casinomeister, scounselor!
I'm going to answer this in kind of a short way. If it is a Microgaming casino, the operator does not have control over the play of any of the machines - ie. there is no "switch". Same for Playtech and Cryptologic. Other casinos/softwares, can't be too sure. The giggling support person, on the other hand, is a bit disturbing - and I'm sure the casino operator would like to know about this. If you wouldn't mind, let Casinomeister know which casino this is by PM so he can ask the operator to look into it.

MG
The access problems ure unrelated to the game payouts.
This is actually a common gaming experience, you can seem to do nothing wrong one day and nothing right the next. Sometimes, a casino will play red hot for seemingly ages, and will suddenly die on you taking back the winnings. It's probably true that there are games ready to fry you as well as freeze you out on any given day, but with 200+ to choose from (mostly slots) it is hard to pick the right one. Most of my big winning runs has started with a single really big hit, where I have levered up my bets and switched around trying other games. Hitting one or more other hot games with the increased bet can pay very well indeed, HOWEVER, hitting a run of cold games with the big bet can devastate the bankroll very fast indeed. Perhaps a better solution at the end of the day might have been to withdraw, say, $800 (locking in a profit of $750), and leave a decent sum in for the next day to see if the run is continuing. In this case, you would have lost that remaining amount, but, the $800 would be harder to lose, you would have to reverse the withdrawal, which can "conveniently " be done for 24 to 48 hours as a service provided by the casino software which is, apparently, "much appreciated" by players.

Thank you for the feedback!
I feel better with your reassurance that the payouts for slot machines can't be controlled by some "Master Computer Program" at main casino sites.
I guess it was Lady Luck. She loved me one day and hated me the next. I any case, I am learning a few lessons. From now on if I win ...I will take out half and leave half in the casino. I can be satisfied having half to invest elsewhere and half to play with again another day. So far though, I have been waiting well over 48 hours for my measly $50.00 to go back into my Neteller account. I emailed support today to inquire why the deposit hasn't happened yet. It's only $50.00 and I'm sure this casino has NO interest in keeping my $50.00. It's just annoying to wait more that 2 days and still wonder when it will come back so I can invest it elsewhere. I don't want to complain about them, or to them, as I may want to go back and play there again. I don't want to make any hard feelings and have them lock my account for my whining. The casino I was playing is Al-Sl--s and I hear they are very reputable. Thanks again for advise and reassurance. I'll bet with renewed confidence. And let's face it...I had many hours of entertainment on that initial $25.00 deposit! |

I think your winnings will show up shortly. 48 hours is normally long for that group, which is generally reliable.
Good luck!

You've come to the right play to ask 'stupid' questions!
I think the above replies have answered your questions. I don't want to welcome you with criticism, but I found your first post almost unreadable! A few paragraph breaks would have made it so much easier - your second post was super! Also (not just you!) when you gain money you 'win', when the opposite happens you 'lose' not 'loose'! (Sorry, one of my pet hates - along with 'there' instead of 'their', and a few others!) Better luck & more self-control next time!

me personally
First, thank you for that lose not loose lesson......that is a huge pet peeve of mine as well......okay......moving on
In MY PERSONAL experience, whenever I win and cashout, I go to a different casino because every single time I play at the same one I withdrew on, I lose very fast. This could be a coincidence, but since it has happened 100% of the time after a cash out....I find it not to be "IN MY CASE" Everyone knows I love a certain casino and I get nice wins (nice to me) and I know I should move on after a cashout and a lot of times I don't because I like the casino so much. LOL....I always yell at myself after I lose because I know i should of moved on but didnt!!! Good Luck and Welcome |

I have a system in place for myself. Once I double my deposit I withdraw my deposit so I am playing only on the casinos money. This doesn't always work for me but the majority of the time I walk away with at the very least my deposit.
Yes, me too, on the pet peeve. My grandfather was an English professor. What can I say. Babs I have the same thing happen to me about playing one day and losing the next almost 100% of the time. Also, when playing with a bonus on the MG software I find I am sooooooo lucky. Once I hit the WRs my luck seems to change. You just have to wonder sometimes. I will play three or four casinos rotating between them. This seems to work for me. I try not to reverse withdrawals. That is hard not to do when you see that money just sitting there to be begging to be played. My biggest problem is using Neteller InstaCash to fund a casino and having to wait what seems forever for the funds to clear. I have withdrawals showing up and I can't get them into my checking account because Neteller's third party processor hasn't notified them my withdrawal has cleared. So what do I do! Oh yes I play with my money in my Neteller account. What I am considering is a self imposed cooling off period. Play for a while then let all withdrawals and deposits clear. Then start fresh. Also, I have been using my debit card more so I don't have to deal waiting for Neteller.
