Exclamation CASINOMEISTERS ADVERSITING MAY DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD

I believe you are adressing this in a manner which, due to your influence in the online gaming business, will push the few remaining reputable companies to ban u.s. players.

I would like to suggest that the Act appears to ban ALL Casino/Poker advertisements so you would probably still not be in total compliance.

Perhaps the best approach for ALL of us would be to ban U.S. players from access to the website.

In this manner you will not force business to ban us if they need the exposure you provide them.

I am sure that you can establish a means of U.S. players being redirected to a U.S. player forum with no advertising on the forum pages. There by keeping the tie between you an u.s. players for discussion of the issues. i.e. we enter the website in our browser and are immediately redirected or something to that effect.

I believe the approach you have planned to take is doing nothing but assisting the U.S. government in banning freedom of speech. U.S. supreme court has held that books can not be banned. Constitutionally we have a right to information.

Also, I believe the issue that should be addressed in court by the internet organizations is that if casinos are complying with the law, advertising on your site is meaningless for U.s. players anyway.

Please ban us not the casinos . your decision to ban them is doing both us and the casinos a disservice.

The Act bans no such thing. It bans the use of financial institutions for processing transactions for the purposes of online gambling.

I believe the approach you have planned to take is doing nothing but assisting the U.S. government in banning freedom of speech. U.S. supreme court has held that books can not be banned. Constitutionally we have a right to information.
Keep in mind you're not being banned from the site - you still have full access to information.

Ban U.S. Players DONT BLOCK CASINOS THAT ALLOW U.S.

I REALLY DO NOT THINK MY STATEMENT IS BOLD. IT IS MEARLY SUGGESTING AN ALTERNATIVE. ONE THAT I THINK AT LEAST AT THE MOMEMT MIGHT BE BEST IF ANY OF THE U.S. PLAYERS WANT TO CONTINUE TO PLAY AT THE REPUTABLE CASINOS THAT STILL ALLOW US.

IN RESPONSE TO SPEARMASTER: if the Legislation does not ban Gambling Advertisments then there would be no reason for Casinomeister to pull advertisements by Casinos that allow play by U.S. residents. Except for the fact that in recieving funds from those sites as an affiliate he could be considered involved. But my suggestion would take care of that and U.S. players would still be able to discuss issues with all members but we would be blocked from the remainder of the website.

Also, my statements regarding Freedom of Speech, etc. is not directed toward web sites on the Internet. I believe it is part of the Defense that Internet Service providers and the like have against the enforcement of this ACT if they choose to take it to Court. It is also why I think this portion of the legislation is unconstitutional. It clearly is censoring information that u.s. citizens have access to.

The casino operators should not feel forced to disallow US players just because Casinomeister is not going to list them if they do. There is a simple workaround available to them. They can separate their casinos: have some that allow US and some that don't (the latter could be listed on CM).

CM can list them, sing their praises, whatever... just not link to them and definately not take affiliate money if safety is the goal.

I see no reason why this statement on a portal...

7 Sultans Casino is great!

somehow puts a barrier up for US players, while this....

7 Sultans Casino is great!

doesn't.

I have a hard time believing players won't be able to find the site online.

The only difference is webmasters that go this route no longer make money off these casinos... they can certianly be discussed in the forum and elsewhere as I'm sure they will be. Did banning liquor and cigarette advertiments from TV stop Americans from smoking and drinking?

This issue may be moot in the near future as all reputable casinos may pull out only leaving the old-school rogue variety risking serving US players anyhow (and who would promote these anyway?). Unless this gets shot down somehow, that's my prediction.

Anyway, I'm sure some enterprising young buck in China or somewhere will come out with an IP obfuscator service that will confuse the casinos into thinking you're in Ghana, Afganastan, Borneo or wherever you want - then the risk can be all yours.

I'm sure we'll start getting spam anyday now where someone has a plugin to allow us to play from the US. And it will probably have some spyware embedded in it too.

rollo, anytime i see a post from you, i imagine con soupanoussenphone's voice from king of the hill, on account of your avatar which kind of resembles him.

which reminds me of a funny observational joke:

if you tell the waiter at a chinese restaurant that the food is 'rubbery', do they take that as a compliment?

another joke, totally unrelated:

how do you keep from getting beat up by a mob of black guys?

throw them a basketball!!

(hope that didn't offend anyone, but it really shouldn't.)

what does a fish say when he smacks into a wall??

DAM(N)!
+++ like a midget at a urinal, i was going to have to stay on my toes +++
. . . +++ if you can read this, well done you +++ . . .
