    loose in fun mode

I agree they are a bit "loose'. I love to gamble but don't have a big budget. Once I play out my budget for the month I play free. I am a Casino War junkie and have been since I was little itty bitty so I know the way that game plays out...if I won in the player mode like I win in the fun mode I would be living in a Villa in the Bahamas, maybe being fanned with ostrich feathers by a handsome young local while being served frufru drinks with real gemstone umbrellas. Yeah, that's the ticket! Hm. Im drifting..... I really do notice a difference!
When I play in the fun mode...I see how high I can go..then I have fun betting huge major chunks at a time to see how they would play out. It cracks me up when a window opens up while im playing that says.." Looks like its your lucky day! Why not try it with real money and win big! " Maybe they didnt notice I just lost $4000 play money in a particular slot before this $100 win? Ive actually switched into real money after a streak and got konked!
To me, Fun is just that....Fun. It give u a chance to learn the games and it may help you win in the real money mode because you know the game and its in's and out's.

    Fun vs Play

I was playing at a new casino yesterday and decided to play for "practice". I decided to play only slots with max default bet. I started with a 1000. When I got down to around 450, I decided to hit the BJ tables. I sadly must say I took my bakance down to around 250. I then went back to the slots and hit real big on Avalon, Mad Hatter and a few others to get me a tad back over 1000. My initial thoughts were never to play this casino for real, but now I think it is equal in fun as well as play.

my thoughts say that for a casino to keep and make a good reputation, dishonesty isn't tolerated, thats why all the main casino software makers use RNG (random number generator) technology to keep this honesty intact...

the only way that the casino owners can change the odds is only by changing the payout percentage (am i right?) which changes the overall wins vs. losses ratio to the favor of the casino, thats got nothing to do with how frequent a big hit on the slots shows up, it could be ages apart or 1 by the next, the percentage is the same...

feel free to correct me as its just an assumption and theory

When playing in the fun mode, do the casinos HAVE to follow any rules? No one is risking any monies.. I think we have all had different experiences with the fun mode but I play it so much I that I have formed my own opinion on the probabilities. One thing I know for sure...it is nice to be able to go to the cashier and load up with another 1000 without it coming from my pockets!
I just lost 5000 fake dollars playing Bejewelled, playing max bet highest bet. It was fun!!!

Yes, I have noticed a difference, blackjack I win more but Im still an idiot player, I just learned P-gow, dont see any diff on that one, Casino war I always win more and 9-line/20 line video slots I seem to hit the features more. I also do better in fun mode on all the vp games. I dont play most table games but I like parlor games and do really well on spin a win. I have almost memorized the landing sequence on that one..genie high/low I always seemed to win twice as much in fun but I do pretty well on that one generally. I seem to have been given the gift of knowing high/or low numbers but I can't seem to pick color.

Ps Im playing at Intercasino fun site right now and it seems to be the same as real play...thats a good sign!

    Ethical considerations

I'd like to think that any recognised and reliable online casino operation would be using the same odds, regardless of if its fun or real play.

Casinomeister, maybe you can shed some light on this one?

there was someone who said that the funplay is based on our own computer's RNG (theres a chip on our motherboard that does complicated calculations) rather than the casino's RNG which is belived to be configured by precentage rather than being completely random (not my belief by any chance) ... i found it is not true because if you play in funplay mode, (in MG casinos for instance) take notice of the connection bar right below the balance, at times its connecting while a spin of a slot is happening, does this mean that it takes the results from the casino? (like if i would play for real?)

Microgaming software does contact the gaming server in fun play mode to get the results of hands, rolls and spins. This is verifiable if you enable the icon for your internet connection in the system tray (and aren't running anything else that maintains an active internet connection while you are playing in fun mode).

Some software providers use the player's computer to generate random numbers, but any differences in the player computer's RNG and the server's RNG is probably minimal.

Most likely, the difference perceived between fun mode and real mode is attributable to the fearlessness that a bottomless bankroll creates.
