Here's quite an interesting story, Thursday night I decided to give BetRoyal a shot. I spoke with support before depositing to make sure I had everything clear on the bonus terms. Then I deposit $200 and was then told I couldn't recieve a bonus. So I said fine, I'll just take my business elsewhere. I called up their support and spoke with the manager about getting my money back to my Neteller account. He told me that I would have to send in verification documents and wait 10 business days before I would recieve my cashout. I disagreed with this and we argued back and forth for a bit, until I finally gave in and sent him my forms.
We'll not being real happy about this and making a rash decision I wrote "go f*** yourselves", in the body of the email I sent them with my forms. Now I'll be the first one to admit that this was in bad taste, and I should not have done that, but what happened next is just plain unexcusable.
About 10 minutes later I recieved a phone call from the manager that I spoke with earlier, when I picked up the phone he said, "go f*** myself, go f*** myself? No f*** you! We are coming after you!" I immediatly hung up the phone. Not 5 minutes later I get another call from the same number. This time he says, "We will not stop coming after you, we have people in your area that are coming to find you." Again I hung up on them.
So the next day I called back thier CS number and asked to speak with a manager again. I explained to him what had happened and told him that I wouldnt post anything on the forums until his investigation was complete.
Well today he called me back and told me that no action was going to be taken because it was my fault and I had originally started it. It's my fault that I recieved threatening phone calls!
I'm not one to come and slander casinos on the forums, but what kind of casino will defend thier employees that make threatening phone calls to customers? My advice to you is to stay far, far away from BetRoyal.

My apologies.

I sent IG-88 with a trifecta of the most lethal bounty hunters to locate this... "manager"... 3-earth-days ago. Captain Needa has informed me that IG-88 has been probing BetRoyal as we speak. Apparently, 4-LOM has been sending this... "manager"... f*** you messages repeatedly during that time. I'm sure this character is a bit on edge as we speak. Frankly, I don't agree with 4-LOM's methods (and he should be using Nextel over Sprint for all of these long-distant calls to Costa-Rica), as I'm not even sure that he speaks proper English (yet), but his services do come with some pretty high-credentials over various galaxies. Sometimes, it's best to look the other way...

If IG-88 can't get the job done (he costs an arm-and-a-leg), I'm going to send a Wampa (via FedEx) to pay a visit on the 7th floor of a certain building in Costa Rica, and it's not BoDog (if you catch my meaning).;) ;)

you should go to your localpolice and have them come to your house and listen in on another line while you call them back and say how scared and sorry you are and see if he threatens you more. There must be some federal or international laws against making threats to do bodily harm over phone lines. If not maybe the Casinomeister can get the Flaming Butt Pirates involved:machinegu

Yes, they all do.

I've recommended that gmblpdam contact his local law enforcement officials. Making threats over the phone should be taken seriously. In fact, there should be no reason not to contact the FBI since this call was made from overseas.

RTG should be contacted -- I've given gmblpdam contact information there as well.

I don't buy the fact that the management drops the case because the player started this. This is customer "support" and they are not selling shoes. For a manager to call a customer an make threats is abhorant and this "manager" should be fired immediately. Any reputable casino/sportsbook that takes its business seriously would sack this person without question and make an apology.

They're Playtech actually
Let me rephrase: both Playtech and RTG should be contacted. Betroyal is using Playtech software, but their marketing/support falls under Virtual Casino (RTG). The software providers should be clued in to what their licensees are doing.

I fully agree the way this was dealt with was just plain unacceptable, and I can understand your frustration at not being able to get "your" money back. But I do think that perhaps writing defamatory language on the documents whould have pissed anyone off. Besides from my experiences with online casino's the documents don't go to the manager.

I do think you should take this matter further and I am sure that if it happened to me I would do the same.

Gmplplan, please dont deposit anymore money with this group or its various guises.

betroyal is part of the virtual network. i'm guessing this offer you got from betroyal is another "too good to be true" offer that dropped into your email inbox.

one thing i should have mentioned on the other thread is that when one of their groups has ripped you off, they then email you from another of their groups and do the same trick again.

basically similiar to these lottery scams, where if you reply to one you will be inudated with offers from others who now have you on their "mug" list.

i think this could be a good time for lanidar to join this thread, (s)he should be able to help you out with a comprehensive list of all the casinos in this group.

Obviously the calls were out of line in a business situation. People have had not similar slow-pay type problems in the past, in addition to a weekly or monthly limit. Bur it does seem like they usually or always pay (in the end) My own experience is that I requested a significant cashout but under their limits over 3 weeks ago. I replied with my scanned id 3 days later the same day they mailed me. 7 days later they write me and ask for id again (not saying it was bad, just they didnt have it). I sent it out with a copy of the first email i sent them with it all in it right away. I gave it a few days before I checked back in betroyal - full deposit reversed, no email. I talk to a CSR who says yup, my id is on file and fine, I am free to cash out. He promised me that he would work with his manager to expedite the cashout. That was 6 days ago now, I'm not sure how their work weak was but assuming they had 5 days, does that seem like a speedy assistance? Never the less I am 100% convinced they will pay me everything they owe me. But the word is they definitely run much longer cashout times compared to other playtechs. With an approach like that for cashflow one wonders (or doesnt wonder, based on this thread) what else they are up to.

You are absolutely right. I had BetRoyal call me today trying to get me to deposit, ha! And I also had Prism casino call me and try to get me to deposit today. I'm still alive though, but staying out of Costa Rica.

Good for you not to deposit at prism. I tried to withdraw a mere 20 bucks more than 2 years ago. They locked me out and have not received any reply from them since. I PMed their manager, who was,or maybe still is, a member here, but he never replied.

Sounds like Prism all over again.

A long time ago, during My Casino Opinions day, a lot of players were screwed by Prism casino and let it be known in that forum. Some of them received very threatening phone calls and were naturally worried.
So don't take this lightly, these guys have the money and the means and the crazy people that will work for little money to carry out their threats.
Good Luck.

IMHO it is correct to be cautious about the kind of people to whom you are dealing with that lurk behind the curtains of any online casino because yes, it is cost-efficient to pay a thug to silent a problem which otherwise isn't going to go away easily ... when you take into consideration the kind of money that these casinos see coming in (and then on top of that have very little money going out due to cash-in stall or avoid tactics)

... and the kind of damage an adamant campaign to bring such an unscrupulous casino's tactics to light can do in terms of warding off potential and even current players which as mentioned represent an almost one-sided flow of currency ... could easily and quickly prove very expensive to the offending casino.

And when you consider that: it doesn't take very long before losing even a few decent-sized players would represent far more money lost than it would take to hire a thug ...

... and since it is true there exists the kind of scum whose values are such that greed and money is placed above respect for life ... it is prudent that everyone understand this before they potentially put themselves in a position they may later deeply regret.

...........

that said; what amazes me is the incredible lack of intelligence and business savvy their whole approach to your situation has shown.

I mean, can you be any more small-time than to be stupid enough to give someone a hassle about cashing-out money they never gambled in the first place? especially a lousy $200. Geez even the bad casinos spend that on advertising in the same manner you or i would spend the cost of a cup of coffee ... on a cup of coffee.

and I think we can all agree it has already cost them a ton more than $200 in terms of bad publicity just in this thread.

As an affiliate (please note this is speaking generally as I am not now or ever been affiliated with bet royal or sister sites) - this is the sort of thing that makes me freakin' crap my pants! It costs me more than that to send a real depositing player to the casino and here this stupid #!*%$@! is basically catching them as I sent them thru the gate and turning them around running them off ... and for what? nothing!

Show some damn brains (if you can't muster integrity) and give the customer back what is his/hers in the first place and maybe ... just maybe they will decide to go ahead and gamble it since you had just proven you were worthy of their business.

And here's a surprise! they might just decide to keep on playing at your establishment for a lot more than the tune of $200.

Now what makes it even more amazingly STUPID is that since they are obviously an unsavory bunch anyhow ... why not do it right: and follow my advice above and then once you've looped them in to trusting you ... then later (and I remind you only if you won enough and were cashing out enough to merit it ..) then later they can still always screw you around then.

These guys can't even manage to be smart enough to be competent thieves.

I guess at least we have that going for us ....

:)

This is an ongoing phenomenon peculiar to the online gambling industry which I have often observed with astonishment. It's not cheap to bring in a new player in a professional marketing sense, yet these potential sources of future business are treated almost with contempt by way too many operational managers (read the complaints section every day here at Casinomeister for a flavour!)

Maybe operational managers should be compelled to serve time with the marketers in order to appreciate how much effort and expense goes into player acquisition.

Junior operational managers - and sometimes not even managers at all - are given authority to screw players over with disqualifications, lock accounts and generally negate all the work the marketers put in to try and generate new business and a good reputation.

It is astounding, and I sometimes shake my head in disbelief as yet another player who has made only one or two transactions at a casino is hammered for being a *bonus abuser* and denied further action.

In a business as competitive as this, you would assume that greater care would be taken to retain players and convert their playing requirements into regular visits to the casino and solid future business, but the opposite seems to be true in a surprising number of even established online operations.

The obsession with real or imagined *bonus abuse* is so pronounced that the baby is thrown out with the bathwater in far too many cases.

Weak and badly informed Support, bad communications, risky promo and payout practices, poor management supervision and the right hand not knowing what the left is doing all combine to turn away substantial business from both individual casinos and the industry at large in my opinion, and that's a pity.

It is something that should be a focus of regular review at a high level in every company.

Everyone accepts that casinos have to protect themselves from the thieves, rogues and vagabonds out there in cyberspace, but there must be a better way to achieve this than dumping so much good potential business.

And what blows my mind is that players keep on coming back for more.

"Thank you sir, may I have another!?" WHAP!

More and more players take risks at these clip-joint sites. I used to get a lot of complaints that would be footnoted "I wish I found Casinomeister before I played there." Now there are more that state, "I thought they were okay by now, so I took a chance."

A fool and his money are soon parted. Some players just click and go, they couldn't care less about due diligence because that bonus is soooo big - and they get sucked into some half-witted crap casino. It's like they are in some back-alley in central America - feeding off one another other. It's a cyber symbiosis of sorts.

Players need to smarten up, and that's what I've been trying to do for the past eight years - going on nine; smartening the players up. It's frustrating as hell sometimes because I sound like a broken record - some players will never learn; they are their own worst enemies.

So unfortunately, casinos such as this can weather the storm. Look at all of the substandard RTG or Playtech operations. They are still around going strong. They may take a massive hit here or there, but as long as they can focus on getting new players from somewhere else, they have no problems.
