I was playing pontoon at a real time gaming site today and was wondering if this is average : 500 hands played at 10 dollars a hand.

Perfect strategy with the wizard of odds chart up on the pc beside me and I lost 340 dollars :( Is this to be expected on a very low house edge? It seems to be a really high number to me and was wondering if someone here could figure out the odds on that much of a loss. :(

Don't take my word for it, but, after several sakis at the local Japanese restaurant, I get a very normal -1.014 SD or 1 in 6.44 of happening.

GM or freebie, thankfully, always will let me know when I've had too much to drink and don't think right.

And I thank you both both for that.

ok, played another 400 hands till I couldnt stand to play anymore and had even worse results. :(

Played 10 dollar hands and dropped 570 dollars :( . Dealer had so many ties with me it wasnt funny. Get a 20 and he gets 21, dealer gets 5 card many times.

Geez, sounds like MG or GamblingFederation blackjack there!

Actually it was at phonecian casino. I busted on almost every 12-14 i hit on. I would say it was probably under 30 hands in the last 400 that didnt bust on those pulls. I also had an amazing amounts of 15's (coincidence that that is the number the stratejy says to stand on?).

I couldnt keep track of the exact amounts of busts or pontoons though cause it was hard enough counting the amount of hands and following stratejys.

I just posted to see if anyone could give odds on the amount of losses and on having such bad luck since I dont know how to figure it out myself.:)

That's the right answer!
Pontoon is a game of hight variance (1.44). Betting $10 in Pontoon is like betting 12.4 in BJ, as such you will either win or lot or loose a lot.
My worst experience with Pontoon is down 75 units in 400 hands (1 in 192.8). My best winning streak is up 105 units in 1525 hands (1 in 23.4).
