As some of you may know I had done a little digging while at the recent ICE 2012 conference in London and had a few words to say regarding the Gibraltar gaming licensing body's move to the Deparment of Finance and its consequent disappearance from public view. Apparently they've been busy little bees and I'm happy to announce that they've returned and are now back online.

As many of you know we spent last week at the ICE and LAC conferences in London. As ever these were great events and well worth the time spent. Sadly it was the last year for ICE at Earl's Court -- VERY convenient location -- and apparently next year we will be exiled to ExCel which appears to be 40 km out into who knows where. Okay, well here we are packing our bags for the annual pilgrimage to ICE and LAC in London. Yay! Very much looking forward to it, as always.
Actually I have a real love-hate thing with this time of year because on the one hand we get to do ICE and hang out in London for a week and that's always a good thing. On the other hand I always have a backlog of monthly reports and the year-end summary of the PABs to get done before we head out and that tends to be a little hellish. For the
Not too long ago I buckled down and did the mid-year summary for the Pitch-A-Bitch section during which I noticed some interesting comparisons and contrasts to the same period last year. This is "man on the street" stuff but I think they're worthy topics for discussion:
- the trend for fewer, higher-value PAB issues continues. Many of the "pocket change" issues are simply not there this year. Not sure what that's about, perhaps people know the casinos have tightened up this year.
Imagine if you will a hypothetical gambler, let's call her babyjane62. Some years ago she got into online gambling, shortly thereafter she found the popular gambling-related forums and she's been a regular ever since. Everyone knows her, most people are quite fond of her posts. As she's gained experience in the scene she's become known and respected: when she has something to say most people listen. She's pretty much at the top of her game you'd say, particularly when it comes to her online presence.
