Just got back from Hospital today. Everything went well, and my recovery is progressing nicely. It is good to be home. Should start to feel like my own self again in 5 or 6 weeks.

It's a bowel resection. They will cut out a diseased portion of my bowel, and sew me back up. I also have adhesions & strictures (like yarn wrapped around a phone cord) that the surgeon wil clean up.

It's pretty heavy duty stuff, and the incision that they will make is from breastbone to pubic bone, and that will be the hardest part of my recovery.

I am not worried about a cancer outcome or such, but it will be a long and painful recovery.

I have a great spirit I will get through the tough stuff.

what kind of surgery? If I may.
