lauriejim, I can offer some tips and advice that I've seen firsthand from my best friend and her weight loss. I'm trying to put on a few pounds so I can't offer any tips to take it off
My best friend followed the weightwatchers diet and included exercise and walking in her routine. She has lost over 50 pounds and has kept most of it off for months.
Now my sister on the other hand just gave up pop, chips, chocolate bars or anything chocolate, sweets, and did about a half hour exercise each day. She still ate pizza, McDonalds, etc but just giving up those treats I mentioned above she took off a pile of weight over the months.
In my own opinion, the best exercise is brisk walking, and doing it uphill would be the most beneficial.
Now yet another friend started eating healthy foods and measured her portions and started walking every day. After a couple of months she shed mega pounds.
She loved sweets and that was the hardest part of getting on a healthy lifestyle and she has kept to it to this day. Maybe if you had your debbie cakes alittle earlier in the evening it might do the trick and also take away the craving them at bedtime

i do not have time to get into anything tonight but tomm i will post some basics. the biggest problem folks have is they just dont know who to believe. diet companies prey on this. "eat chocolate and lose weight"! please. ab rollers, pills that "target" belly fat. all 100% complete garbage. you must burn more calories than you consume. period. i will detail tomm. good night all!

I was always fit and healthy, until I started smoking a few years ago. Even though i've quit smoking several times, one way or another I seem to go back on them.

My sister is seriouly into her health. A few weeks ago she advised me to buy £100 worth of, um, powders from http://www.detoxyourworld.com/. I just cant eat healthly food when smoking, I need the taste!!! lol. It's all sitting in a box in the kitchen for when I quit smoking and start this weird diet. I'm looking forward to it...... i've become way tooo lazy...

well i do smoke, i dont drink and im afraid that if i do quit ill just pack on more pounds, id like to get back into size 7s again, around 115 pounds, this extra 15 pounds is really showing, i dont know if it has to do with me turning 45 and what my elder aunts call the "middle age spread" lol.the weight seems to be in my middle area and i have heard thats not good for your health.
