Hi I got an email stating that GNUF casino has now merged with Betway. So if you go to GNUF you will be redirected to Betway. I guess the Accredited Casino section needs to be updated to reflect this. I am sure Bryan Bryan probably knows but I thought I would post just in case:D Betway is accredited also it seems Gnuf is no more.

It is with great pleasure that we are writing to inform you that GNUF Casino has now merged with Betway. This means that you’ll now receive news, offers and Bonuses from Betway, and that you can log in and play with us using your existing GNUF Username and Password, whenever you like.

The timing couldn’t be better, as Betway.com has just had a major revamp. We now offer you the option to log in and play direct from your browser, and we’ve personalised this experience to give you faster access to all of your casino favourites. Our slick, high-speed casino software can also be downloaded to your PC or laptop for even more game variety and more jackpots to play for.

The icing on the cake is the fact that you don’t need to do a thing! You’ve already got your log in details and you’re already on our mailing list, so expect to hear more from us very soon.

Betway Casino has never been better, so we’re ecstatic to have you start a new adventure with us,.

All the best,

The Betway Team

If GNUF merged with Betway at the start of the year then it took them long enough to tell their players. I got the email at the end of this week.

I think GNUF and Betway have been somehow joined for quite some time now, a few years anyway, could be wrong but it rings a bell.

I know they were owned by the same operator and were sister casinos. They now merged the two casinos so GNUF is no more. I had an account with both Betway and Gnuf but haven't played at either for ages because if memory serves it took them 3 working days to pay one of my withdrawals to Neteller or Skrill (can't remember which). They are a good outfit but 32Red gets most of my download MG play business now.

Anyway now I can log into Betway with my Gnuf username and password and presumably I can log in with my Betway username and password so effectively I now have two Betway accounts. I wonder would that create an issue in the future? Also lets say a player had funds in both Betway and Gnuf at the same time the casinos merged what would happen then? Did they let all the players know at the same time (this week) after the merger or did they notify Gnuf players with balances on their accounts prior to the merger or does it make a difference?
Since the casino is accredited here it would be nice for the rep to chime in.

Was Gnuf not a part of the 32red group?

Maybe you're thinking of Nedplay? They both opened around the same time and from the same part of the world.

The Betway Group used to be either owned or related to the Palace Group - when I closed my Palace Group accounts they closed my account at GNUF as well, and they had a lot of the same kinds of promotions and terms etc.

Make sure you check your active accounts, I had an account at Royal Joker (that was an awesome casino!) and they were bought by Jackpot Factory who killed them and transferred me to an All Slots account. I already had an All Slots account so I assumed they just merged them until one day I lost my account number and clicked the 'can't log in' link - I got the mail and and that's when I realized that I had TWO real accounts with All Slots. Even though I only played at my original one, it would have been enough to cause problems at some point down the road when I tried to cash out!

If I play at Betway in the future i'll probably use my Betway info but I will definitely check with support first. You are right they are part of the Palace Group. I never noticed that until now. Thanks Chayton for pointing that out to me. Tis no wonder they have that 48 hours pending rule before they will even look at a cashout (reason why I don't play at other Palace Group casinos).

Yes, related to. They were taken over by Palace Group in March 2011 and then "split off" again in October 2013. But there is still obviously some "cross over" in marketing and operation of the two groups.

I'm actually quite glad that they've closed Gnuf - what was with that silly name in the first place?

They had something on the website about the name when they started, but I can't remember now what it was. I actually quite liked playing there when they first opened - they were a little different than most of the other Microgaming casinos. It seemed like they had a vision of their players being sort of a community (like 3Dice) but it never seemed to really come together for them. They were only around for a year or so before being snapped up by the Palace Group.

Edit: Interesting, I was just looking them up online (to see if I could find out the story about the name) and found a 'roguest of the rogue' listing for them on askgamblers...? Is that because of the Palace Group affiliate issues or something more, I wonder?

On it. Thanks for the heads up. Looking through my emails, I was never contacted about this. That's not cool.
