I would agree. It would be similar to the "sit & go" setup, but with none of the hanging around hoping the other players will join.
It would be a single bet made to win a prize from a set number of placings, and only one shot at it.
Rather than rebuys and continues, a series of different tournaments with differing prize structures and entry fees could be released.
Ideally, the prizes should grow each time a player enters. This will tempt more players in because they may think the prize too low at first, but might be tempted later on if it grows.
As with this one, plenty of time should be given so that EVERY player gets to use all their coins, however many bonus rounds they get, and how "laggy" the server becomes when they are playing.
I got the usual lag when I played, but with 20 minutes available, it didn't matter - I played all my coins with time to spare, and ended up pretty high (probably not so high now

).
The real turn-off is that it is pretty obvious that these tournaments are designed to take 10% of the stake, rather than the norm of 5% in the lobby slots. This is nowhere more obvious than the sit & go tournaments, where very simple maths shows that the
RTP is fixed at 90%.
