There has been some discussion recently about not being able to access tournaments at 32Red. I have been a victim of this too.
This discussion ended on the note "what if this happened during the Grand Slam itself".
Well, IT HAS!!!!!!
I have seats both at All Slots, and 32Red. I logged in to 32Red primarily to find where I ended up in last night's warm up. I COULDN'T - no access. I was third when I finished, but I have no idea if this was where I ended up at the close.
I then decided to run the following test (see screenshot). Logging in to both 32Red and All Slots, and displaying the results under the same conditions. Tournaments tab collapsed, and then selected.
Result:-
32Red - no tournaments found
All Slots - tournaments available as expected.
This was at the SAME TIME, SAME PC, and obviously SAME internet connection right down to the last detail.
This puts the fault somewhere at 32Red's end, with the remote server hosting the 32Red casino unable to forward route players to the Microgaming tournament server.
At the same time, I CAN get routed through to the Microgaming tournament server through the remote All Slots gaming server.
The PHYSICAL locations of the CASINO gaming servers are different, 32Red, I believe, being in Gibraltar, and All Slots on the Kahnawake compound. The Microgaming tournament server could be anywhere,
MG have never specified where.
This problem occurs at different casinos at different times, and this instance points very much to it being a problem with the casino gaming servers routing players through to the tournament server.
IF the routing was DIRECT, i.e, the Viper client on my PC made a direct connection, rather than via the casino remote server, I would be able to connect at BOTH casinos at the same time, or NEITHER. Being unable to connect through neither casino could also result from the tournament server itself being "down".
