This way, the amount staked is hidden, but the points are a good indication?
Hi Mark,

I think that is the only real fair solution.

Although it doesn't suit me personaly as an extremely low roller , I believe a player with a larger bankroll should stand a greater chance of winning the top prize. It's only fair as they will be risking more than us low rollers.

However the system would not actually hide the amount staked. Since 1 point = £1 staked it's pritty easy to work out lol . It would only hide how your points were accumulated, be that 1,000 @ £1 or 10,000 @ £0.10

I don't think there's any need to hide the amount staked, I don't think anyone would have a problem with that.

These sort of comps are free to enter, and there for a bit of fun and a bonus!

Whatever the rules and potential strategies that could be employed or whatever -- just go for it... It's free and a bit of fun!

If someone wants to go all out to win it at stupid low stakes to bag £500 over a month, whatever... There's no guarantee they'll win it anyhow!

Total spins, I agree, is the only 'fair' way to include all 'rollers'...

I say go for it and see what happens!

Cheers CM, Cheers 32 - and happy birthday!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

The system is actually up and running in the background using this month's data. I'll try and get this live somewhere today so you can see the current standings.

Right here goes.

Just 10 registrations so far.

I have knocked up a quick banner and a very basic page for now to show you the current positions.

http://www.32red.com/competitions/slotsmeister.html

Remember, this is based on play since 1st May. This one doesn't count for the promo

Whist walking to work I thought of an easy get around to the 1p a spin problem, Maybe we could just add a rule "Players must average a minimum of 0.10 chips per spin to qualify for prizes?"

Edit: Sorry, I forgot to mention, this list should update every 15 mins.

Mark

Hi All,

Just finished the promotion page for this, a quick reminder that the play shown is for May and will be reset at the end of the month.

Not only, as someone else already said, will many people just play 1 line @ 1c, but also we all know Vinylweatherman will have 3 PC's running autoplay simultaneously 24/7 for the whole month... No-one else has a chance
If I may suggest a better competition; it should be based on the percentage of profit each member can make from their total slots play in the month, with a minimum turn-over of lets say $500.
i.e. Say my total turnover is $2,000 and my return is $2,500 - that's 25%
And suppose VWM turns over $400,000 and his return is $500,000 - that's 20%, so I win!

This would be fair on everyone & give the low-rollers an equal chance with the high rollers.
The $500 minimum turnover ensures a player can't get an early big win & then just stop.
Also a week would be more sensible than the whole month IMHO.

Just my 2c

PS: Happy 10th birthday!
KK,
It's possible this VWM chap might not notice this loophole in the event, and might mistake it for a straight forward wager challenge, as were the Casino Action (RIP) tournaments.
Many wager challenge tournaments score based on actual amount staked, and include the player's full first name and initial of last name, and an indication of which casino. Sometimes, the player's country is shown.
This is more personally identifying than the Casinomeister username.

I only have TWO PC's here, not three, however, one is dual core, so could count as three altogether

Sadly, for me, I can only have ONE instance of my 32Red account running at any one time, so the NUMBER of PC's is not relevant, but the SPEED of the fastest is.

The current May data shows what a sorry bunch of slotmeisters you all are, and I most certainly will be giving this one a go
