I'm so pissed off about all this crap due to my car accident almost 6 weeks ago. That idiot driver caused all of these problems, and he's probably only going to get a slap on the wrist - maybe a fine and maybe have his license suspended for awhile - but I seriously doubt it.

All of this, while I get to live day in and day out with constant headaches, neck and back pain, and dealing with the fact that my doctor has me off from work until who knows when....but hey, I don't have a job to go back to, anymore, because of the fact that they couldn't hold my job for me.

Plus, I get to spend all kinds of money on gas and BS to get back and forth to physical therapy 3 times a week, normal doctor appointments, and neurologist appointments. The only days I get any relief are those that I don't have any appointments. Why? Because I can't take my meds as prescribed on the days I have appointments; due to the fact that I can't drive while I'm taking them. I have to deal with pain until I can get home and don't have to worry about going out again the rest of the day.

And let's not forget the fact that I have about $40 a month left over after I pay all of my bills.

I'm just glad I hired an attorney to handle most of this stuff, because there's no way I could keep everything organized and not get screwed during the settlement when this is all over with.

And what really sucks is the fact that I've been going to physical therapy 3x a week for a month now, and they told me at my evaluation that there's been no improvement whatsoever. The only thing that's changed is that I have more strength in my legs.....but that was never a problem to begin with. Now I get to deal with getting injections on top of physical therapy. Hopefully those work, because if there's still no change by this time next month, then they'll have to discharge me from therapy. Where it goes from there, I have no idea.

My housemate's sister was in an accident about 2 years ago, she got t-boned in an intersection by some bozo who was on his cell phone. Luckily he sideswiped another car first so it changed his trajectory just enough that he didn't smash directly into the driver's door, but it still totalled her car. She ended up with cracked ribs and some spinal injuries also, but she was extremely lucky to have survived at all, he was really moving.

But the good news is that the insurance company finally settled just a couple of months ago and she got a big chunk of change - enough to put a hefty down payment on the condo she just bought. The bad news is that the lawyers took about half and she still experiences some back pain - but it's not as bad and it's not constant anymore.

She went through the same thing - after her therapy was done she was still in pain and went to a chiropractor pretty regularly and that seemed to help a bit. As time went on she started feeling better and better. Hang in there - hopefully your case resolves itself quicker than hers did.

Wow, that really sucks, Chayton. I guess she'll make a full recovery over time?

    Thanks for the support, everyone.
