Trading Places :)

So there was a conversation last night with my 9 year old who told me that she wanted to be a mother, she couldn't wait. We talked about how hard it was, that it wasn't fun and games etc. and then it hit me...let's trade places! That's exactly what we did this morning.
We woke up and she was the "Mother", I was the daughter and she had to work, clean, take care of babies and do all of the things I do every day just as I would do them.Things started off strong, she couldn't wait to get started and did everything on the list...clean, cook, change diapers, baths, laundry...and that was just an hour of work :P. As soon as she would get started on her "content" writing, the babies would ask for something or something would happen and she would look at me and say " I just sat down"...lol I just laughed and let her handle it.
Her brothers sure did try to take advantage of it but I did stand by for damage control..and they learned not to do that real quick. All in all it was a great lesson, long day and most of all eye-opening for my angel.
Well here we are at 8:30 and she is fast asleep, she made and cleaned dinner (while I supervised). I think she has a very good understanding of how hard it is to do what I do every single day. Of course it was only a day but I think she learned a huge lesson, in fact, I probably won't be a grandma until I am at least 70...by her anyway.
It was nice watching her go from happy go lucky to wtf all in a few hours, and now she kinda knows why I am so bat-shit crazy.
