BitchMeister Fridays: PAB Report for week of 20090529

Another crazy week in PAB-land!
Max Rogue!
For some reason a bunch of newbies blew through this week and dropped little Rogue-y PABs on us (see below). Don't they know that PABs on the likes of Cirrus and Mighty Slots are going to be about as useful as a Speedo on a pumpkin? Whatever, is that's how they want to use their 'One Free Shot' then so be it.
Rushmore pays
This was it, the week the last of the Rushmore issues were put to bed! The last two guys reported receiving their payouts this week ... and tha-tha-that's all folks! Glad to have that one well and truly behind us.
Sky Kings Casino: get over yourself!
Had a rich one this week: complaint comes in about a forced-bonus/no-pay situation. No worries, we do our thing and file it with the casino. Casino comes back and says "no can do, secret information" and claims to be settling with the player. Player reports no such thing and casino won't listen to reason re: player asking us to act on their behalf.
And why the secrecy? "EU Data Protection Law" says they, t'would be a violation of the player's privacy. What a lot of bull crap! First of all the law is there to prohibit the intrusion on a customer's privacy by "unsolicited communications for direct marketing purposes", to ensure transaction security and the like. Applying it to the player's complaint at the casino is a willful subversion of the text.
Secondly, there's no need to divulge private player info in order to do what we need to do. We're talking about the player's use of a bonus, or whatever, not their social security numbers and financial records.
Finally the player states in the PAB form that they're willing to share their info with us in order for us to pursue the issue with the casino. When we file the PAB we give the player's account number at the casino, their full name, and their contact info. If the casino wanted to cooperate they could simply ask the player. Not these guys ...
"Player must file a written statement" to their Gibralter office before they'll even admit such a player exists. But they'll be happy to discuss the issue with the player if the player would like. Ya right, like that has worked out so well so far.
The bottom line is that only casinos who are trying to dodge player issues and stay beyond the reach of third-party negotiators like us pull such tricks. Meanwhile the player is left high-and-dry.
Faites comme vous voulez, welcome to the Casinomeister Warnings: here.
