Ok, as mentioned earlier last week the big news is the final decisions in the Rushmore Group investigations:
Rushmore
The final outstanding decisions came in from Rushmore last week. With these final rulings, two payouts and two lockouts, the books are pretty much closed on this little saga. In the end it was about a 50/50 split between players who were verified and payed and those who could not be verified and were subject to confiscations.
Although the general membership was not privy to the Rushmore reports we would like to say that we wish everyone was a thorough in their efforts. Yes it took a long time, yes some folks were inconvenienced, yes it was a PITA at times. But the bottom line is that Rushmore found several cases of far-reaching identity theft and fraud.
There were cases where player names were investigated only to find that the players named had no clue that their names were being used at the casinos in question. Stolen passports, falsified addresses and so forth. Rushmore really did uncover some serious stuff in the course of their efforts. Well done, but we're all happy to see the end of it too.
