  1. Owning versus renting: A $600M lottery makes everyone poorer.

    by , 31st March 2012 at 03:42 AM
I live outside the country, but I still watch the American news to see what's going on..I was just watching NBC's coverage of what's ballooned into a $600M lottery payout, and while they were interviewing "folks" (they always say "folks" -- "volk" sounds too German), it occurred to me that NBC is basically what you, or me, or anybody else who understands casinos, would call an affiliate marketer.

They go out and interview a bunch of people on welfare, ...

  2. How to start a casino and lose money.

    by , 18th January 2012 at 08:56 PM
    Running at a Loss.
It's been exactly six months since I opened the Bitcoin casino. When I started this thing, credibility was a real worry for me. I mean, I had none, and we opened it from Costa Rica, which doesn't really help. I committed to keeping a radical level of transparency, publishing all the card shoes and daily RTPs. But I thought I'd go a step further and share with you the actual balance sheet for what's happened so far.

  4. Interviewed by a blog...

    by , 30th August 2011 at 05:58 PM
Well, the Bitcoin folks seem to be taking more interest in my project, and a new blog on the subject -- a good one, actually, with a lot of smart analysis -- asked me for an interview, so I just kind of unloaded my life's story on them. Why not, y'know? It's not every day I get interviewed. And next week they're interviewing Bruce Wagner, so suddenly I'm like, almost famous

Anyway, here it is, for any & all that's interested:

  5. Two plus 2 forum bans me, without warning, because I posted about my project.

    by , 19th August 2011 at 10:20 PM
I don't know why they didn't warn me, or move it, or something. I've been on the board for 2 years, asking people for advice, and giving advice with everything I know about the poker situation, through a very tumultuous time in the US. In all that time, I only posted twice about my own project. Suddenly I announced it had launched, and I don't know if their corporate sponsors are just really threatened by Bitcoin or by one lone programmer writing better software than theirs or what... but it hovered ...
