I'm not a big gamblers these days. Years gone by I was heavily into it. It went far beyond losing my own money. I was a pubic hair away from being a multi-milliionaire. Trading in options, not a good idea. To cut a long story short I ended up sleeping in friends & family's living rooms, if I was lucky I got a fold out bed.

from my knowledge in banking I secured a mortgage. I will fight for that with my life, yesterday, they withdrew the decree against my house.

pressure? Always. I remember where I was at. I will stake my live on never going back

gambling? I play with my beer money. If I win, its a night out. If I win more, its extra lekky bills.

I only play slots when Im rich off poker winnings. I still hold value to the chips I have online.

Im talking from a gambler who has hit rock bottom. The only way is up, but its a long slow process & im not even at knee level.

On the forums? Ill be hard on gamblers who want to quit, because I've been there. My gambling instinct has gone, although occasionally I get the odd hot flush

im kind of surprised that you can continue to play poker, or play slots and consider yourself not gambling. Sounds like you are doing self imposed controlled gambling..one that rarely suceeds permanantly if you are a CG. Im not trying to be harsh, but ive been in therapy since May and off online since the US thing..and one thing I know is, if your going to quit..you have to quit betting for money..period, to stay truely free and change your life for the better. I know there are varying degrees of gambing, social, frequent, problem gambler, compulsive, professional. I am a problem gambler,..I cant take even one bet..all hell breaks loose mentally then and the struggle starts all over. Abstinence is the only way to achieve mental peace and financial security if you are a problem gambler or a CG, much like a diabetic needs insulin to stay healthy, a Cg must needs abstience (his medicine) to stay healthy. So, dont be so hard on the forum members that announce they are quitting. They may be controlled gamblers like you, or social, or are CG's taking their first step towards asking for help. All deserve your support and well wishes!
