I visited Morroco in my early twenties, and the warm flavours of cinnamon and cardoman, cloves and tumeric, combined with lamb and dried fruit have stayed with me a long time. This dish, although very fragant, is not very hot.

2 lbs boneless lamb shoulder, trimmed of most fat, cut into 1" cubes
1/2 cup flour

1/4 cup butter
2 cups very thinly sliced onions
4 garlic cloves crushed

1 1/2 cups (about 3) chopped apples
1 tbsp finely minced fresh ginger
1/4 cup mild curry powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp cayenne

2 1/2 cups chicken stock
2 tbsp barbeque sauce
Few dashes worchestershire sauce
hot sauce to taste
1/3 cup unsweetened coconut (preferrable large flake)
1/3 cup raisins
1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

2 cups cubed butternut squash or sweet potato

In a large pot, melt most of the butter. Saute onions over medium low heat until very soft but not coloured. Add garlic and saute for an additional five minutes. Remove cooked onions and garlic to a bowl.

Toss lamb cubes in flour to coat. Add rest of butter to pot, increase heat to medium. When hot, add lamb and cook until a nice sear forms, stirring frequently. When lamb is nicely brown, return onions and garlic to pot. Add apples and spices and cook for a further 5 minutes to "bloom" spices.

Add stock, bbq sauce, worchestershire, hot sauce, coconut raisins and chick peas. Bring stew just to a boil, lower heat and cover. Cook at a simmer for approximately 1 to 1/2 hours until lamb is very tender.

Add butternut squash and cook for another 15-20 minutes or so until squash is tender but still intact. Add fresh ground pepper to taste.

Serve over rice or with couscous.

His touring band was damn good too. Bassist Nick Beggs complemented the act with his impressive bass riffs and his Chapman Stick (Virtual Stick) performance.

A few blasts from the past: Ace of Wands, Firth Of Fifth, Endos, Fly on the Windshield...

...amazing show.

As most of you are aware, I play a lot of tournaments. As those of you who play tournaments are aware, it's actually kind of boring. So while I'm clicking the button (or waiting for the infernal reels to stop spinning) I notice other player's screen names as I pass them or as they pass me and I wonder about the people and why they chose those names.

Some of them are cute (a kitty cat face) some are funny (thundershmuck or skintagain) and some are incomprehensible (vinylweatherman, what the h*ll is THAT supposed to mean?) ;)

There are people whose screen names brag about their kids or grandkids, there are people whose screen names say what they do for a living or what their interests are. Nicknames, real names, where they're from or pleas for just one win.

The thing I don't get is the people who use screen names like they're on an adult dating site. I've noticed there are quite a few who have screen names using "sexy" or "hottie" or "porn" or "xxx" or ending with "4U" - or worse "4ALL" :eek2: What's up with that? It's not like anyone else can click on their name and chat them up so what's the point? I keep waiting for the day when Royal Vegas announces that the winner of one of their big tournaments is someone named "sexybuttboy4men." Yikes.

Much like my last blog, there's quite a lot of really bad luck in this log right from the diabolical start, as you can tell by the various expletives (the worst ones deleted!) But there was also some really great stuff which enabled me to cash out another good profit from a Rival Casino.

If you study it in detail you can probably get an idea of how I tackle these slot bonus WRs. This is pretty much the same method I use at all casinos. (Note: It doesn't always work!)
I've split the log into two because it's quite long.

The "No Can Do" List

The most recent big addition to the Pitch-A-Bitch scene here at Casinomeister is the "No Can Do" List.

The purpose of the "No Can Do" list is to spotlight casinos that we can not accept Pitch-A-Bitch submissions on.

Why? Two reasons:

the casino/group listed has told us that they will not entertain any complaints coming from third parties (like us). In other words they'll deal with the customer and only the customer, no exceptions.

the casino/group has proven untrustworthy in the past thus we've opted to no longer deal with them.

So, just so we're clear: any PAB submitted naming these casinos will be rejected as a "No Can Do". Please consult the "No Can Do" List _before_ you submit your PAB.

Although I haven't made this one in a while, I currently have some Grandmarnier and am saving some for when it cools down enough to have my oven on again. I had to type the recipe out and thought I would share it with you.

Dipping the orange segments is a little fussy, but really adds to the presentation. If you do a dozen, nicely marks the servings.

Mandarin Chocolate Cheesecake (serves 12)

Crust:
1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
3 tbsp butter, melted.

Combine crumbs and melted butter. Press into bottom of a 9" springform pan. Bake 10 minutes at 325.

Filling:

1 1/2 pounds cream cheese, softened (three eight oz bricks or 250g packages)
3/4 cup of sugar
3 tsp flour
3 eggs at room temperature
1/4 cup of orange juice
3 tbsp (1 1/2 oz) of orange liqueur (eg Grandmarnier, Triple Sec)
1 tbsp grated orange rind

Beat cream cheese, sugar and flouruntil fluffy. Add eggs one at a time until just blended. Mix in juice, liqueur and orange rind.

Pour over crust and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or centre is barely set.

Run sharp knife around edge of pan. Cool at room temperature. Refrigerate overnight, or at least 4-6 hours in fridge. Do not unmold yet.

Glaze

1/2 cup whipping cream or heavy cream
4 oz semi-sweet baking chocolate, chopped

Heat cream just to boiling. Stir in chocolate. If necessary, microwave in 10 second bursts until most of the chocolate is beginning to melt, stirring vigorously to finish melting.

Pour glaze over cake.

Garnish

Canned mandarine oranges
2 ozs semi-sweet baker's chocolate, melted.

Dry mandarine oranges well on paper towels. Dip orange segments half into melted chocolate, and let dry on waxed paper. Decorate cake with them. You may also add whipped cream rosettes if desired.

TIP:

Prepare orange segments before glazing the cake and put on before it sets so they stick.

Allow glazed cheesecake to cool before refrigerating. If you refrigerate before it cools, you may get a greyish "bloom" on the chocolate. This is just cocoa butter and does not affect taste or safety, but detracts from the appearance.

Unmold the cheesecake about 1 hour before serving (or just before you have dinner) and let sit at room temperature for best flavour.

Challenging, exciting, long hours, unexpected events, all good words to use when you think about starting any new business. In my case, I am starting as an affiliate manager with an online casino, that had some major hiccups to begin with.

Why did I come? Well, the owners. They have a great reputation here in Cosat Rica, and that is hard to find. Also, I have never had a shit to try and get an online casino from day one.

So far, we doing ok, great payouts, etc, but I was thinking about making this blog more about the behind the scenes of what I needed to do.

1. Choose and Set up the affiliate software, and integrate it into the API of RTG

2. Suggest and lead new payment processors to be set up

3. Terminate some vendors, such as the webmaster team.

4. Terms and Conditions to be reviewed.

5. Customer Service set up, and how we answer the phone, live chat, etc

I am up to it, and will post here weekly as things progress. Or you can wait for the movie...

It is a real long time ago, the last time I lost my self-control playing at an internet casino.
But today, I lost it again playing thunderstruck. I must be very unlucky, how can a slot machine take for hours and hours (I played 6 hours straight) without giving ANYTHING of some value back? Especially a slot that is quite low variance (I believe).
I started depositing 40 euro, just wanted to try and win a small amount. However while betting only 9 cts, it was gone sooner than I had ever experienced with this slot. The first free spins came after about 1300 spins, and off course were not worth the wait.
I could not believe my eyes and deposited 100, try to win something back playing 18 cts. Got a few free spins, but only got up to 106. After that it wasn't bad, but not good either untill I got another dry spell without free spins for about 800 spins. Playing some time at 27 cts,
the result was I only had 20 euro's left. I decided to up my bet to 36 cts (much for me) and deposit another 100 euro. I got up to 190 again, and decided to play 45 cts to try and get the last 50 back (stupid, but still...). Off course after that it was very very dry again and after getting down to 100 euro again I was sick of it.
I HAD TO WIN sometime!! I upped my bet every 100 spins, eventually to 90 cts and lost it all in no time. I got dry spins 9/10 of the times. Suddenly free spins were also, yet again, nowhere to be found.
I was furious and deposited another 100, playing with 1.35 a time (I never do that!!). Well, off course the only thing I got was 5x10, but no free spins... nothing.

340 euro GONE!! I could not believe how everytime I raised all wins disappeared and the slot went dry.
In 6 hours of playing (time between spins 0 seconds), I did not get a single re-trigger, only got 4 rams once, did not get a decent pay-out in the base-game (even 10X was a rare occassion), did not see many free spins... it was all cr*p. :what:
You know when they say, when a slot is dry, leave it.... But how can it be dry for 5,5 hours in 6 hours of playing??? :(
In the end, my payout seems to be in the range of 80 %. Remember I played at least 10.000 spins, however the last of my money was gone in no time. Maybe it wasn't that bad after all and I'm just stupid. :eek2:

This is not the best time, since I decided to play RTG again after a long break some days ago, and I lost all three sessions playing pennies. I'm kind of bummed now. I had a profit of 225 euro this month and in just 3 days I lost about 500. I should have just learned my exams (Yes I failed those too). Although I do not lose much last few months (I did learn to control myself, untill now) I still wished my friend never introduced me to online gambling... I've got better things to do with my time and money.

I could have actually cashed out $652 if I hadn't of stupidly decided to give new slot Psychedelic Sixties a whirl after I had already completed WR... :(

In fact there's quite a lot of stupidity in this log right from the very crappy start, as you can tell by the various expletives! But there was also some really great stuff which enabled me to cash out yet another profit from my favorite Rival Casino.

If you study it in detail you can probably get an idea of how I tackle bonus WRs, and also how long it takes me; 5 weeks from the deposit to my final cash-out!

I've split the log into two because it's quite long.

Disclaimer: I am posting this to my blog rather than in a forum because this is meant to be a personal expression. I may sound rude, biased, and offensive, so if you don't like it, feel free not to read. I am always open to counter points, but bashing will be ignored.

I'm writing a column for my college paper, so YKWRGMG? is an extension of that. Comments are ALWAYS welcome.

You know what really grinds my gears? Getting kicked in the nuts by 3Dice casino. Sorry, but that's just about what it felt like.

As many of you have read, I severely reduced my gambling activities - I have limited myself to $50/month for online gaming. It's not alot, I know. But one-night-a-month is better than two-nights-a-week. Definitely helped my budget, plus it makes each experience more exciting. Desensatizing gambling can be seriously, seriously damaging.

I guess this post really stems from something which happened a couple weeks ago. I deposited my $50, got it up to $150. When I asked to cash out $50 with a balance of $80, I was told by a representative they would rather cash out at least $100, stressing it not being "worth the hassle". Naturally, trying to get it up to $100, I bust out. I. Was. Pissed.

Ok, back to the story.

So I deposit $50. Hoping for some half way decent playtime (Enzo says playtime is "bad", I would like to inform him he can shove it, because players like play time... period). Start off at the creepy Slotronomicron (Probably spelled that wrong). Down to $40, hit a bonus... 20 cents on 30 cent bet. Crappy. Off to Payola. No bonus, another 10-20 bucks on 40c spins. Off to Industria. Again, nothing. Bust out after 15 minutes.

What gives? I could have at least gotten a few bonus rounds on an RTG. 1 bonus for .66x bet? That's it? Variance my ass, that just plain out sucks. Come on now. I understand there are bad streaks and good streaks, but 15 minutes for $50 isn't worth my time. I could go see 5 movies for that price.

Uninstalled. Then, had a rep close my account. Felt good. 3Dice has gotten the last of my money. Between the last deposit incident and this one, I'm done feeling like crap.

I went out with my friends last Friday. Here are my costs:
Movie Ticket - $9.50
Soda @ Movies - $7.50 (YIKES.. lol)
Dinner (Split a pizza) - $6.00
Mini golf - $10.00
Rent a movie - $1.00
Total costs - $34.00

So for a great night of laughter and fun, I didn't even spend how much I spent for a 15 minute play at 3Dice. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I'll be heading to the actual casino next week for a camping @ the casino vacation. Can't wait!

Thanks for reading.

Following the popularity of my first blog here at CM about my success with Grand Virtual software, I thought I should post another!

These are my last two deposits at Fantasy Casino;
April was "deposit just $15, get a 400% ($60) sticky bonus (NOT phantom), WR B x15 ($900).
Cashed out $140 (833% profit).

June was "deposit $25, get a 300% ($75) sticky bonus, WR B x15 ($1,125).
Cashed out $370 (1,380% profit).

Other games are allowed, but I only played slots.
As before, for each month I give my summary, my actual log & screenshots of my best wins.
So here goes...

April 2009 Summary:-
Steady start playing my usuals, made +$50 on first 4 slots.
Then Eureka started OK, then died & went 75 spins with no free-spins… but then, at $4.05/spin I had 5 spins re-trigger twice for $78, and 9 goes later 10 spins for +$72 = $97 profit!!!
Met WR with $200 in bank, but played Ockoberfest & lost $40 before hitting the cashout button for the max of $115
A good hit on Atlantis let me cash-out $25 more before frittering the rest away.
Great result... again!

Log:-

I don't have any screenshots for April because I didn't hit any really good single wins.

June 2009 Summary:-
Monthly 300% bonus on a $25 deposit:
Started on brand new Rocket Riches… didn't blast off for me! -$22
Then Pinball; Was playing VERY level at 20c/line so pushed up to 50c and had both features within 9 spins! Was $32 up at this point, but stupidly played on at 20c/line and it completely DIED!!! End = -$29
Gold Mine; Got both features in first 22 spins, so soon stopped $11 up.
ATLANTIS... WOW! On just my 13th spin got 4 scatters for 15 free-spins, re-trigger for 5 more spins, and a VERY good maze feature to finish with $112 from a 55c bet! 25 more spins at 55c, then up to $1.10... 3 spins in BANG - top pay combo (with wilds) = $251! Again, played on when I should have stopped, and lost $52, but overall +$290!!
Eureka; Good free-spins on 8th pull. Did 25 more & stopped +$35 up.
Jackhammer; 8 features in 105 spins, and stopped +$47 up.
Oktoberfest; Dunno - just not enjoying this one any more. -$6
Shopping Spree; Not TOO bad, but only 4 average features in 154 spins. I had met WR in the first few spins, but carried on to do about 10% extra & then stopped on -$20. Bank = $406.
Cashed out max of $370!
Played on with the last $46 of bonus chips - but no luck there.

Log:-

ScreenShots:

Great maze feature during my 20 free-spins:-
(Highlighted line 7; 2 Seahorses + 3 Wilds (which multiply wins by x5)

Just to keep things in perspective, after my last blog and before this one I played fantasy 2 other times:
In November I deposited & lost $25, and in February I deposited & lost $30.

If anyone wants to see a particular log of mine, see my month-by-month results at KKresults.
Just pick a casino & month, PM me and I'll see what I can do!
Cheers!

Well, as usually the Chinese leftovers had all the good stuff picked out, so I made a quick little dish to extend them.

1/2 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

Two garlic cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
About 1 inch ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced

1 tbsp mild oil or butter

1 tsp soya sauce
1 oz dry sherry or rice wine
1/4 cup chicken stock or water

Few drops of hot sauce to taste

1 tsp cornstarch mixed in small amount of water

In a skillet over low heat, soften the garlic and ginger, do not brown. Add sherry, soya sauce and simmer for three or four minutes over low heat. If it starts to become too dry, add a little water. This happened to me because I was more than a couple of minutes peeling the shrimp (I used frozen, just run under cold water until thawed enough to peel, if necessary).

Add the raw shrimp, cover pan and cook a few minutes until the shrimp are just pink and mostly opaque.

Push shrimp to one side of pan, tilt slightly so most of the liquid runs to side and quickly stir in the cornstarch and water slurry. Cook one more minute to thicken sauce. Add a few drops of hot sauce if desired.

Serve over rice or asian noodles.

Serves two

This is super quick and easy. A few steamed or microwaved Asian mix vegetables would complete a meal.

Oopsy! Little late on this one. :o

Ok, an upsy-downsy week if ever there was one:

Sky Kings & WHG International/Trading

Readers may recall that last week I posted a Warning against Sky Kings Casino for being totally uncooperative on a PAB.

Well part way through the week I escalated that to a General Warning on all WHG International/Trading casinos since a number of them were already on the Warning list and/or in the Rogue Pit. The freaky thing is that WHG's flagship property is William Hill Online (WHO) Casino. Pretty scary, right?

Well, let's just say that the shit hit the fan and a goodly portion of it ended up on me. One thing led to another and I ended up on the phone with a senior exec at WHG who was none too pleased with yours truly.

After a bit of tug-of-war it came down to this: WHG recently acquired a number of properties with ... shall we say "somewhat soiled" reputations, but they are working to clean those problems up. As such they felt that nailing them with the Warning right after the acquisitions had gone through was unfair and unwarranted.

"Unwarranted"? Max says: not if you see my PAB inbox it isn't unwarranted. "Unfair"? Maybe, the guys do deserve a chance to make good.

So, the upshot was that on the personal assurance of Mr. Senior Exec that the WHG properties would all behave well and good I pulled the Warnings. Let's welcome them anew and look forward to a bright and complaint-free future for them all.

The Numbers

10...New PABs
2....Resolved PABs (Lucky 18, Slots Oasis)
2....Rogue/Pending Rogue (Cirrus, Golden Palace)
0....Fraudster!
1....Closed, OP AWOL, Discarded, No-Can-Do, Stale-Dated, etc.
2....New/Updated Casinomeister Warnings (Sky Kings & WHG International/Trading: withdrawn)

There it is, better late than never!

Per usual, discuss here.

The Warning has now been expanded to include all casinos associated with WHG International Limited and WHG Trading Limited. Some of the names in that list might surprise you, several of them are already in the Rogue Pit.
