So I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, and I mentioned my dog - he said, "How is Flake?" I said, "uhmmm he's good - but his name is Jake." My friend said, "Oh - you call him Flake all the time." Which I do...so we started discussing how silly it is - when you first get a pet, you put a little thought into the perfect name for that animal, and then you call them by some nickname - and I realized that I do that to every animal I've ever had.
