I have always been fascinated by ghost stories, I love to hear them :).

Now I know that not everyone believes in the paranormal and some will only believe once they have seen something for themselves.

So I thought I would post a new thread on everyone's experiences, opinions and objectives on this subject,

Have fun :)

I am a huge believer in the paranormal, from the standpoint that there are things beyond our realm of understanding as human beings that sometimes spillover to our plane of reality. It is perfectly understandable that a person is not willing to believe until having seen or experienced it on their own however.

How sad and depressing to think all there is to existence is the short time we are given to walk the earth. I believe there is much more.

I agree Harrys, and I also believe in the paranormal as I have seen things which defy logical explanation, but I'll post these when I've got posts of other' experiences :)

I think that everyone at sometime in their live`s will encounter a weird situation, how they perceive these situations is entirely down to them, for me, I have had 7 near death experiences including being born clinically dead with the umbilical cord wrapped tightly around my neck (hence my forum name), do I believe in life after death? - Yes, very much so, there is a part of us that can never be explained and if you have ever visited someone in the Chapel of Rest, it will be the very 1st thing you notice missing, whilst looking at the empty shell in front of you that was once your Mother, Father, other family member, partner, or close friend - The Soul.

If you get time have a read of the story I posted in this thread, https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/48586/, if you read it carefully it will reveal a lot about me and my views/opinions based on events I have personally encountered during my many years of walking this planet

If it is POSSIBLE that paranormal phenomenon can occur, then it doesn't defy logic at all. It just means that we must postulate a metaphysical hypothesis. The problem is that some people, especially naturalist, think just because we have no empirical evidence for something then it cannot exist. They have a right to believe that but it doesn't mean people who do believe in the supernatural are being illogical.

Also, harrys99, I totally agree, if this is all there is then I would have to believe that everything is meaningless. There is nothing really good or bad, right or wrong, moral or immoral. Just meaningless life on a small spec of dust we call earth. I don't believe that.

Agree with this 100%, as man is yet to put forward anything more than a theory as to how we appeared on this planet, then it must transpire that we have no idea also, of what happens after we leave it ;).

Okay, I shall tell you of one really strange event that both me and my father witnessed...

One night while we were driving home from land bingo, this transparent mist appeared in the road ahead of us, it wasn't fog as this mist was moving off the road and over the hedge, this was my very first experience with seeing something paranormal, to add to this, my father got talking to a man that had lost a child on this stretch of road, his son had been staying at a friends house when he ran on to the road after a football, the man then told my father that his son appeared to him the night before his son was killed.

I have quite a few more, but this one always got me thinking...

I had a quick scan of your story that you posted seventh, I will read it properly when I get a bit more time, it sure looks interesting, I read through it slightly as I was scanning, you should consider changing your employment as being a builder to 'author' :)

It is very descriptive and well written ;)

About 25 years ago was sleeping at a friends, was sleeping in the living room. Late at night i woke up and seen a big old lady standing in front of the tv I could see threw her cause I could see the t.v but I also could describe her. A few weeks later i was talking with my friends mother about ufo,s the unknown then I told her what I saw and described her to her and she was amazed as she said I just described her great grandmother and she told me the living room usta be her bedroom.

One the most amazing thing a few years ago my partner had a BD party for me and a friend of ours at our home. Had about 20 people. Anyways my partner was holding the cake when I blew out the candles a friend took a piture.

The next day my partner was looking at the pics and the one with him holding the cake after I blew out the candles He said this looks like a person I look at it and in the pic in the smoke you can clearly see a person standing beside him looking up at him transpaernt shaped out of smoke as well there are 2 skelton heads and when you zoom in in the eye of the skelton is a green head pink lips and a hat..not to sound nuts this is so trues we have showed the pic to several people. Also we didnt notice but after sending the pic to a friend she replied back and said she could see a dragon like bird with big claws after looking at it a again by goly thats in it too. Should we move out lol
Im at work but could add pic later.

My very first come to life "dream" was when I was 4. Psychologists will tell you you really don't remember much before the age of 5, but I digress...

I seldom dream, and rarely remember my dreams. Anyways, I dreamed my grandmother was in the kitchen, humming one of her favorite songs. She always had a smile on her face. She loved to cook. She was baking pies. This was so crystal clear. She sat down on one of the kitchen chairs, turned to look at my grandfather, smiled, and slowly slumped over, rolled off the chair onto the floor, and layed there like she was asleep. Now remember, I was only 4.

I went into my parents room and woke them up. Told them I had a bad dream about grandma dying. Like normal parents, they told me everything was okay, dried my tears, and put me back in bed. The next day they got a phone call, my grandmother had died of a heartattack while baking pies.

My next one was when I was around 7. My grandfather was a great gardener. He had beautiful flowers all over his property. He would spend hours tending to his compost pile. Pruning his grape vines. Trimming his lilac bushes. It was like his very own Garden of Eden. He had this red leather rocking chair by a window we kids could sit in to watch the birds and butterflies flitting around from flower to flower.

In his basement he had an old coal furnace. We used to go down there and play in the coal shoot, go home covered in black soot LOL. Or we'd make lead soldiers and lead bullets. Lots of good times with grandpa.

He had a closet off his diningroom, it was lined with old cigar boxes filled with different sized indian arrow heads he had dug up when he had planted his gardens. He had sorted them by size, it was a really cool collection. Don't know what ever happened to them when he died.

Anyways, he lived only a few years after my grandmother died, she was his life. He just gave up, life was meaningless to him. He stopped tending his gardens. He stopped tending to himself. Thank God he died in his sleep.

My "dream" I told my parents, shortly after grandpas house had been sold, we have to go save grandpas house! They are ruining it! My parents weren't understanding. I told them, there weren't any trees surrounding the house, no porches , no gardens. the lilac trees were sitting on the curb. About a month later we went for a ride past my grandfathers old house. The people who had bought the house had cut down the elm trees that had bordered the property. They had torn off the porches that had gone all the way around the house. they had filled in all his gardens and sure as shit all the lilac trees were piled at the curb.

It took my parents MONTHS to get me sleeping all night in my own bed. Probably why I still only sleep 2-3 hours at a clip now (if I'm lucky). I've had several other "dreams" in my lifetime, but nothing quite as dramatic as those two events.

Like you Ksech, I too have premonitions, I once walked past my fiance's sister, when all of a sudden this voice passed by my ears in a whisper saying 'she's gonna die, she's gonna die' (I forgot to mention that she was pregnant with her first child), then this image of her appeared in my mind of her lying in the operating room with the doctor shocking her,to bring her back to life.

When she went in to have her child the premonition returned to me, I said a quiet prayer to st Gerard (the patron saint of mothers) that she would be okay, and so would her child.

The next day we found out that she had gave birth to a baby boy, here comes the shocking part....

they had overdosed her on pain relief...the premonition that I had came true, they had to shock her back to life, her heart had stopped for a few minutes, though thank god every thing worked out fine for her.

Also when I was 6 months pregnant with my third child, I told my mother I was going to have an emergency section, this also came true.

there is a town close to where I live. Its called Port Perry, Ontario Canada. There has been a story that has grabbed the attention of communities for hundreds of miles away and even appeared on unsolved mysteries. I myself have witnessed events.

After hearing numerous stories of a place called ghost road, I became extremely interested so I started to ask questions. Whats it all about, whats the back story? Well, there are different accounts of the story but the one I was told goes as such.

About 100 years ago there was a man driving his motorcycle through a farmers field. This man was a bit of a trouble maker and quite the daredevil. As he was reaching unheard of speeds while driving on grass, he hit a barbed wire fence and it took his head clean off. His head landed on a rock. Ever since, this road has been haunted.

My personal accounts. I have went approx 3 times and every time I went, I experienced something. What you do is sit on the road, turn your car off and wait. So myself and about 5 friends went and did this. Within an hour, we saw motorcycle headlights coming at us. But there was no noise. It was simply just a light. It got closer and closer until it was 10 feet in front of us and disappeared. We looked out the back window and could see the tail light of the motorcycle. It went right through our car.

The 2nd time I was with my uncle and we got out of the van and stood there listening. Within 20 minutes we heard loud footsteps running at us from the forest ahead. It was getting extremely loud. We jumped in the van and left.

The third one is much like the first. We saw motorcycle headlights but this time it was going across the road instead of on the road. The lights went right through tree's just like there wasnt any there.

A few stories I heard from the locals:

If you step foot on this rock, you become violently ill (the rock where his head landed). A young local girl attempted to do this, she got extremely sick and could not stop throwing up, she ended up choking on her own vomit and died.

Another story about the rock. A young man went and sat on the rock and thought it would be a good idea to be cocky where he actually spit on the rock. As soon as the spit landed, he has thrown from the rock and landed on the old barb wired fence which cut his stomach open. He didnt die but he was awfully close.

Believable? Maybe, maybe not. But my accounts of the story are true.

Are you an only child or at the time your grandparents passed away were you the only grandchild? (ie: special connection)

Don't know how you function on 2-3 hours of sleep at a time-I would have to take some power naps.

That is an excellent story-will have to look up episodes of unsolved mysteries!

This one I remember my partner telling me....

One night while he was walking home (he originates from Scotland) he had to walk past this castle on his way,

He turned and looked toward the direction of the castle, as he sensed someone in that direction...

There stood near the castle was this robed figure, my partner stopped and stared, curious to who this might be..

Then the figure looked towards him..

My partner then tells me that he seen 2 red eyes staring at him...:eek2:

Needless to say he took to his heels he was petrified.

I have to post this as it has been on my mind, I always think about it as I've never came across anything like it before.

One night around 10 O'clock a few years back in the summertime, my children wouldn't go to sleep, so I went up stairs to tell them to go to sleep. When I was at the top of the stairs I looked down while repeating myself to them, to go to sleep.

At the bottom of the stairs was this human sized neon blue light, it was like there was someone standing there, but no-one was, it quickly vanished...all of a sudden this thought came to me that good news was coming..

As I was walking down the stairs the phone rang, my partner answered it, it was my mum, she was phoning to say that my dad had won the £1000 at the bingo that night, I then told her about my strange experience and the thought that had entered my head.

A few weeks later, I saw the light again, this time it was smaller, I quickly phoned my mum (who was on her way home from bingo),
I immediately said that either her or dad had won (as I attributed this light as the bringer of good financial news), she said that she didn't win and neither did dad, but I was adamant that she or dad had won, finally she came out with the truth, mum had won, so did dad...I can't remember how much exactly, but together they both won around £400.

Mum then asked me how I knew about them winning...I told her I seen the blue light again, she even thought it very strange.

NO, I have an older brother and sister. And I'm adopted so it's really a weird situation. My father was the youngest of 4 children. I have a lot of cousins on that side of the family.

As to the sleep thing, 2-3 hours of sleep is a lot of sleep for me. Most times I go 24 to 36 hours then crash for an hour or 2 then go another 12 to 14 hrs then sleep 45 minutes to an hour. The doctor put me on some sleeping pills, but they only kept me awake more, so I had to stop taking them. Then they had me try taking Benadryl, but I already take that for my allergies, so they told me to double what I already take which is about 16 tablets a day (figuring it would knock me out, as most people it makes them tired) and that didn't work either. I figure by the time I'm 60 - 65 I won't need to sleep at all LMAO, if I could only find the energy to go along with the no sleep I could accomplish miracles!!!

freaky stuff..

In 1995 I separated from my childrens father.
My very sick mum came to stay with us earlier that year but I couldn't tell her we were about to break up..Anyway she got a bit better, we broke up and I and the kids moved back to my home town Melb from rual Vic. Mum came to live with myself and the two kids then aged 3 and 5.. mum got sicker and sicker and life was hectic. I was caring for mum and the kids and working cleaning when I could. During the time mum was with me we talked about all sorts of paranoprmal stuff ( as we were used to having a fun seance or two anually with beach holiday friends) over the previous 17 years.
The 2 places we had rented used to blow light bulbs like they were going out of fashion and mum always made comment about why so many so often. It was a standing puzzlement for the next 5 years as they blew more often than usual.

Mum got sicker and sicker. In Nov 2001 I had just signed a contract to purchase a house for us to call our own. Bedrooms for all of us. Mum was so happy but by this stage was becoming more wearisome and sleepy. Upon hearing I got the bank loan on the 27th mum decided to pass peacefully on the 29th without ever seeing her new home. Prior to this we joked about in spirit she would come to me and the kids in the form of blown lighbulbs.. ha ha we joked..

Myself and the kids moved into the mortgaged house and within 2 days my bedroom lamp blew and left this impression.. I know it was mum checking out the house and letting me know she has been .. I will cherish that encounter forever..Have had several hellos since but no others that have left an embedded double M on the inside of the blown globe.. To me there can only be one explanation...( Picture included. )

One other was whilst pouring boiling kettle water into my cup I jerked spilling water all over my hand, immediatley thinking I cannot lose the use of my cleaning hands now and to my surprise the water when hit felt icy cold, never burning or leaving blisters..It was boiling water..and there were wittnesses..It was totally fine. I was in shock for a long time..Still can't fathom how other than devine intervention..
