Maybe he decided to step down, and let someone else have a go.
It's not an easy job, since it involves being constantly on hand to keep things from spiralling out of control.
I'm sure you will find that a replacement has been appointed to keep the forum civil, if not, Vortran will have to work overtime - at least robots don't need rest
