How do reputation points work exactly?

    Dear Casinomeister,

I would like to know how your "Reputation Points" work?

    a) Who votes for these things (or rather, gives recommendations)? I'm assuming that it's you, but I'm not certain.

    b) Are these awarded daily, or on a weekly basis?

    c) What are the benefits of earning more and more "Reputation Points"?

GREAT idea by the way! I look forward to NOT getting myself thrown-out, and for trying to think of new ways to earn some more points (haha).

PS You survived one of THE most memorable weekends I've seen here at Casinomeister.com. Keep up the great work.

Here's the deal on user reputation points:

The reputation level new users receive upon registration: 10

Administrators and moderators (Spearmaster, Vortran, Simmo!, and I) can give or take away 15 points.

For every 90 of days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 200 posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 200 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

    Minimum Post Count:
You must have a minimum of 15 posts before your reputation hits count on others.

Right now, your reputation level is 27. Your reputation "power" is 3. The levels are the following:

    User nothing but crap -999999
User tends to piss everyone off -50
User has a little shameless behaviour in the past -10
User seems to be zero at this point 0
User is on a distinguished road +10
User has been spending a lot of time in the forum +50
    User is very cool! 150
User is a jewel in the rough 250
User is just really nice 350
User is a glorious beacon of light 450
User is a name known to all 550
User is a splendid one to behold 650
User has much to be proud of 1000
User has a brilliant future 1500
User has a reputation beyond repute 2000

Right now the benefits are just knowing you have a higher (or lower) reputation. I'll be installing a plugin sometime this week or next that will revolutionize all of this. I mentioned this in last week's newsletter
