On the bright side, if you'd been playing the bonus every time, you'd have proably lost more than the £15k before and since.
The "qualifying" hand thing is a reason i rarely play the tables - the frustration would be too much and you can guarantee the day a Royal came up what would happen! By my calcualtions the QH would hit about 45% of the time so you're odds of winning off an SF deal are probably twice what you quote effectively.
