Hi CO123

This isn't meant as negative criticism by the way, its good of you to provide some ideas....purely some notes that may be interesting :-)

Having worked in development and marketing of websites for about 8 years or so, I have a couple of comments on your list here which may or may not be of interest.

A number of the keywords constitute an infringement on trademarks which could land you in hot water at some stage.

I once worked on a site development in the finance industry trade and we created a portal site and some of our keywords involved finacial sites. We got busted and served legal papers unless we removed the infringements. Luckily no-one got hurt but you should have seen the figures they were throwing around! Funnily enough, soon afterwards, a case went to court and the infringed party won a substantial amount so we were quite lucky really.

Secondly, search engines have changed substantially over recent years and some would actually penalise or not index a page with those keywords unless they were used in context. The biggest issue is the recurrence of words like "casino". Some engines will see that list as a search engine spam attempt and throw it out because "casino" appears so often. It matters not that it is in different phrases.

Also, some engines work out the "keyword" searched as a percentage of relevance on a web page ignoring the keywords META tag. So for example if you have 100 words in 2 paragraphs on your page and 3 occurrences of "online casino" which is what the user searched for, your page would have a greater relevance than say one with 200 words and 5 mentions. Or put another way, your list above would be less relevant (for that particular phrase) than a site that just used the following list:

"online casino, casino, gambling"

The keywords META tag is now little used by search enegines also. The "title" META tag is by far the most important and again is used by some for relevance. As is the Description tag. All other META tags are now pretty much useless. The URL itself is also important in many engines and i'd say you have a good one for this example. A URL of www.casinoonline.ms with a title of "online casino" is more likely to do well in engines like MSN than other pages with the right balance of text.

And so on and so forth.....

Sorry if i ramble....

Cheers

Simmo!
